General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2014 Buick Verano and Chevrolet Cruze vehicles. The left and/or right-side roof-rail air bag (RRAB) inflators located on the roof rails above the headliner, may rupture at the inflator weld joint.
An inflator that ruptures may partially inflate the air bag and cause sharp metal fragments to enter or exit the vehicle, increasing the risk of an injury.
Dealers will replace the left and/or right-side RRAB modules, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 5, 2025. General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Buick Verano and 2016 Chevrolet Malibu as the electronic park lock lever may allow the ignition key to be removed without the transmission being in PARK. Also, certain 2013 Buick Encore, 2011 Buick Regal, 2013-2014 Buick Verano, 2011-2016 Chevrolet Cruze, 2010-2013 Chevrolet Equinox 2013-2015 Chevrolet Malibu, and 2011-2013 GMC Terrain vehicles may have been serviced with similar defective replacement electronic park lock levers. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 114, "Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention."
If the key is removed without the transmission in PARK, the vehicle may rollaway as occupants are exiting, increasing the risk of injury.
GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and if necessary replace the key cylinder lock housing, free of charge. The recall began on October 14, 2016. General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Chevrolet Cruze vehicles manufactured November 8, 2013, to March 12, 2015, and 2015 Chevrolet Volt vehicles manufactured April 11, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the inner tie rod may not be tightened to specification allowing the tie rod to separate from the steering gear.
Separation of the tie rod from the steering gear could result in the loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash.
GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the steering gear assembly, free of charge. The recall began on July 28, 2015. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is 15386.

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 Buick Encore all-wheel-drive vehicles manufactured August 23, 2012, to September 9, 2013; Verano vehicles manufactured August 8, 2012, to June 20, 2013; Chevrolet Cruze vehicles manufactured August 7, 2012, to August 16, 2013, and 2012-2014 Chevrolet Sonic vehicles manufactured May 10, 2011, to August 16, 2012 equipped with a Calix oil pan/block heater. In cold temperatures, the insulation on the engine block heater cord can become damaged, allowing the wires to be exposed.
Exposed wires increase the risk of electrical shock and personal injury if the cord is handled while it is plugged in.
GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the engine oil pan/block heater cord with a new cord that is rated for temperatures of minus 40 degree Celsius. The recall began in August 2014. General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 Chevrolet Cruze vehicles. In the affected vehicles, the driver's front air bag inflator may have been manufactured with an incorrect part.
In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver's air bag, the air bag's inflator may rupture and the air bag may not inflate. The rupture could cause metal fragments to strike and potentially seriously injure the vehicle occupants. Additionally, if the air bag does not inflate, the driver is at an increased risk of injury.
GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver side air bag, free of charge. The recall began on June 28, 2014. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is 14305.

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2013 and 2014 Chevrolet Cruze vehicles equipped with a 1.4L turbo engine, and manufactured between November 28, 2012, and March 7, 2014. On the affected vehicles, the right front half shaft may fracture and separate.
If the half shaft fractures and separates while driving, the vehicle would lose power and coast to a stop. If a vehicle with a fractured half shaft is parked without the parking brake applied, the vehicle could move unexpectedly. Either condition increases the risk of a crash.
GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the right half shaft, as needed, free of charge. Parts for the remedy are not currently available. GM will send an interim letter to owners in May 2014. A second owner letter will be mailed when parts are available. Owners may contact Chevrolet at 1-866-694-6546. General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2014 Buick Regal, LaCrosse, Verano, and Enclave, and Chevrolet Impala, Malibu, Cruze, and Traverse, and GMC Acadia vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions. In the affected vehicles, the transmission shift cable adjuster may disengage from the transmission shift lever. As such, these vehicles do not conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 102, "Transmission Shift Lever Sequence, Starter Interlock, and Transmission Braking Effect." They also fail to conform to FMVSS number 114, "Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention."
If a vehicle's shift cable disengages from the transmission shift lever, a driver may be unable to shift gear positions and the indicated shift position may not represent the gear position the vehicle is in. Should a disengagement occur while the vehicle is being driven, when the driver goes to stop and park the vehicle, the driver may be able to shift the lever to the "PARK" position, but the vehicle transmission may not be in the "PARK" gear position. If the vehicle is not in the "PARK" position there is a risk the vehicle will roll away as the driver and other occupants exit the vehicle or anytime thereafter. A vehicle rollaway increases the risk of injury to exiting occupants and bystanders.
General Motors will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace any affected transmission shift cable adjusters, free of charge. The recall began on April 10, 2014. OVER THE LAST 3 YEARS, I HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUES OCCURRING. THE ENGINE OVERHEATS AND A MESSAGE THAT READS "A/C OFF HIGH ENGINE TEMP" APPEARS. THE HOSE WAS REPLACED, AND IT WAS OK FOR AWHILE, BUT THE PROBLEM HAS REOCCURRED TWICE MORE. THE ENGINE GASKET COVER HAD TO BE REPLACED AS WELL, AND LOOKS LIKE IT IS LEAKING AGAIN, AND OVER THE LAST 3 YEARS RANDOMLY, A MESSAGE WILL APPEAR THAT STATES TO SERVICE STABILTRAK. I'VE HAD A COIL PACK REPLACED AND THE MESSAGE WENT AWAY, BUT REAPPEARS EVERY NOW AND THEN, AND UPON START UP OF CAR MOST DAYS, RUNS VERY ROUGH AND I HAVE TO WAIT A MINUTE BEFORE PUTTING INTO GEAR. THE OVERHEATING AND ROUGH ENGINE PROBLEMS KEEP REOCURRING NO MATTER WHAT WORK I HAVE DONE TO IT. MOST RECENT ISSUES WITH THE AC OFF AGAIN, AS OF TODAY, 12/8/2020.

VEHICLE WILL LOSE POWER AND SHUT OFF IN MIDDLE OF DRIVING WHILE TRYING TO ACCELERATE OR SLOWING DOWN, THIS OCCURS ON HIGHWAY, AT STOPLIGHTS, DRIVE THROUGH, AND CITY STREETS WHILE STATIONARY AND IN MOTION. CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP CAN NOT FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. ECM HAS BEEN REPLACED BUT STILL EXPERIENCE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS AS WELL. THIS IS BASICALLY A DEATH TRAP VEHICLE. IT HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES WITH NO SOLUTION.

THE CAR WILL BE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT OR A STOP SIGN, THE CAR WILL BE IDLING FOR SECONDS START SHUDDERING THEN STALL OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL TURN ON. WE THEN HAVE TO SHUT THE CAR OFF WITH THE KEY, CYCLE IT THEN TURN THE CAR BACK ON.

THE TWO FRONT WINDOWS BOTH STOPPED WORKING WITHIN A YEAR OF HAVING THE CAR. THE READ DRIVER SIDE WINDOW ALSO IS MAKING A SOUND THAT SOON WILL STOP WORKING. THE CAR AT THE TIME HAD LESS THAN 9000 MILES WHEN THEY STOPPED WORKING WITH 98% OF THE TIME ONLY HAVING THE ONE PERSON IN THE VEHICLE (DRIVER). NO KIDS PLAYING AROUND WITH SWITCHES NO CRASHES. BOTH WINDOWS JUST STOPPED WORKING. SOMETHING INSIDE BROKE.

WHENEVER I LEAVE THE KEY IN THE IGNITION (USUALLY DO WHEN IT'S PARKED IN MY GARAGE) EVERY NOW AND THEN AFTER PARKING THE CAR, AFTER A FEW MINUTES. THE LIGHTS ALL COME ON AS IF SOMEONE IS TRYING TO START IT. SOMETIMES IT'LL BARELY ROLL OVER. THE STARTER STARTS TO ENGAGE. IT'LL QUIT AND THEN GO INTO COMPLETE OFF MODE. SOMETIMES IT'LL ACTUALLY TRY TO START BUT CAN'T SINCE THE KEY IS IN THE OFF POSITION. IT WILL CONTINUE TO TRY TO START REPEATEDLY SOMETIMES. I'VE BEEN KEEPING AN EYE ON IT AND NOW HAVE TO REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION EVERY TIME I PARK THE CAR. THE SERVICE ANTI THEFT LIGHT CAME ON THE MOST RECENT TIME IT HAD HAPPENED. BUT IMMEDIATELY WENT AWAY AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE AND HASN'T CAME BACK SINCE.

WHILE I WAS DRIVING MY CAR WILL SAY ROLL DRIVER WINDOW UP AND DOWN. THEN IT LOST POWER STEERING FOR A FEW SECONDS. PARKED IT AT MY HOUSE WENT TO START IT AND IT LOST ALL POWER BUT THE FLASHERS STAYED ON. IT HAS HAPPENED TWICE IN THE PASSER TWO WEEKS. I TALKED TO ANOTHER PERSON THAT HAD THE SAME CAR AND THEIRS DID THE SAME THING.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET CRUZE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO PROPERLY ACCELERATE WHILE DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START-UP. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO HURD AUTO MALL - CHEVROLET LOCATED AT 1705 HARTFORD AVE, JOHNSTON, RI 02919, WHERE THE TECHNICIAN REPROGRAMMED THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE AND SERVICED THE WIRING HARNESS. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT RECENTLY THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

NOT SURE WHAT'S WRONG. I'VE FIXED THINGS ALREADY LIKE MASS FLOW SENSOR, AIR FILTER, MOTOR MOUNTS A VALVE LEAK. CARS BEEN IN AND OUT OF THE MECHANICS FOR MONTHS. CARS ENGINE SHUT OFF 2-3 TIMES WHILE DRIVING WITH MY DAUGHTER IN THE CAR!!!!!. ANOTHER TIME IT TURNED OFF RIGHT AFTER I STARTED IT UP. THE CAR IS UNSAFE!!!!!! I'VE HAD IT HAD 2-3 DIFFERENT MECHANICS. AND THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP. THE CAR NEVER TURNS OFF FOR ANYONE BUT ME. THIS PAST WEEKEND I WAS ATTEMPTING TO PICK UP MY CAR FROM ONE SHOP TO TAKE TO ANOTHER AND IT WOULDN'T START. THIS SHOP HAD THE CAR FOR A WEEK AND A HALF AND IT NEVER TURNED OFF UNTIL I WENT TO PICK IT UP. NOW THEY STILL CAN'T FIND WHAT'S CAUSING THE PROBLEM. WHEN I WAS DRIVING AT 30 MPH MY WHEEL LOCKED UP AND A MESSAGES APPEARED ON MY DASH SAYING POWER STEERING FAIL. I HAD NO CONTROL OVER MY WHEEL AND THAT HAPPENED TWICE IN A 5 MINUTE DRIVE. MY WHEEL NOW HAS RESISTANCE WHEN TURNING. THE NEXT DAY WHEN TRYING TO START MY CAR IT STALLED, WHEN STARTED AGAIN A MESSAGE APPEARED ABOUT THE ANTI THEFT SYSTEM BEING ACTIVATED- I COULDN'T DRIVE MY CAR. WHEN I RESTARTED IT AGAIN ANOTHER MESSAGE APPEARED SAYING 'ROLL DRIVER WINDOW DOWN AND BACK UP'. THE SAME NIGHT I WAS DRIVING 5 MINUTES DOWN THE ROAD AND EVERYTHING INSIDE OF MY CAR TURNED OFF- DASHBOARD, LIGHTS, RADIO, I'M PRETTY SURE MY CAR EVEN TURNED OFF FOR THAT SECOND AND THAT HAPPENED 3 TIMES IN THE SPAN OF A 5 MINUTE DRIVE, ALL WHILE MY WHEEL IS STILL RESISTING TO TURN. IT LOOSES POWER. ALL DASH LIGHTS FLASH ON AND OFF WHILE DRIVING, THE RADIO TURNS ON AND OFF AND THE CAR LOOSES POWER STEERING WHILE DRIVING (THIS IS MAJOR AND I'VE HAD A FEW SCARY MOMENTS WHILE TURNING). THIS HAS HAPPENED SINCE THE CAR WAS NEW AND HAS BEEN LOOKED INTO BY SEVERAL CHEVY DEALERS IN MY AREA. AUTONATION TOLD ME HE HAD SEVERAL OTHER CHEVYS THAT DID THE SAME THING.

THE PAGE PREVIOUS TO THIS ONE WOULD NOT LET MY CHECK EVERY BOX (3 MAX), THE OTHER THINGS I WOULD HAVE CHECKED THAT WERE AFFECTED ARE -LIGHTING -SPEED CONTROL -STEERING -WIPER -TRACTION PICTURES SHOW THESE TWO SIGNALS THAT POP UP "SERVICE STABILITRAK" AND "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL". WHILST IM DRIVING SOME COME THINGS START TO HAPPEN; THE RADIO/ DASH STEREO WILL FLICKER ON AND OFF- ALL NOISE STOPS (ANY MUSIC OR BLINKERS), THE HEATER/ AC WIL STOP BLOWING IF IT IS ON. SOMETIMES WHEN THIS HAPPENS MY POWER STEERING WILL ALSO GO OUT, JERKING THE STEERING WHEEL WHILE IM DRIVING, AND HAPPENS ALOT WHEN IM TURNING (VERY SCARY). THE DASH WILL ALSO FLICKER WITH ABS, BRAKE, TRACTION, LIGHTS. SOME DAYS IT WILL HAPPEN VERY FREQUENTLY ,OTHER DAYS IT WILL ONLY HAPPEN A COUPLE TIMES. I AM UNCERTAIN WHAT I AM DOING THAT IS MAKING IT ACT THIS WAY. WHEN I AM AT A STOPLIGHT, OR DRIVE THRU AND THE SAME THING AS ABOVE HAPPENS MY ENGINE WILL SUDDENLY SHUT OFF WHILE MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS ACTIVATE OUT OF NO WHERE- VERY STARTLING (THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE MY GEAR SHIFT WAS IN PARK AND WHILE IM HOLDING THE BRAKE IN DRIVE). THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES AND WHILE IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS, STATIONARY, IN MOTION, CITY STREET, HIGHWAY, TURNING, GOING STRAIGHT, BRAKING, NONE OF THIS HAS HAPPENED UNTIL A FEW MONTHS AGO. SOMETIMES WHEN I START MY CAR IN THE MORNING TO WARM I COME BACK OUTSIDE AND THEN ENGINE HAD SHUT ITSELF OFF. THE TRACTION DOES NOT SEEM LIKE IT IS GRIPPING TO THE ROAD VERY WELL, WINTER HAS JUST STARTED, AND I AM SCARED TO DRIVE IT. I AM GOING TO GET IT CHECKED OUT AT A CHEVY DEALERSHIP AS SOON AS I GET THE MONEY. I HAVE JUST NOW HAD THE CAR FOR A YEAR, MYSELF. THANK YOU.

THE AUX SIGNAL COME ON OVER THE RADIO I CAN'T LISTEN TO THE RADIO AND EVERY NOW AND AGAIN THE ONSTAR LADY COMES ON WITHOUT ANYONE PUSHING A BUTTON I TURNED OFF THE BLUE TOOTH AS WELL. ALSO EVERY 2-3 MONTHS MY CAR BATTERY DIES WITHOUT CAUSE EVERY LIGHT IS OFF THIS OCCURS WHEN THE RADIO STARTS ACTING OUT MORE FREQUENTLY THIS HAS HAPPENED SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR AND THE DEALER COULDN'T FIGURE IT OUT EITHER SO I HAD TO BUY A BATTERY CHARGER BECAUSE I NEVER KNOW WHEN MY BATTERY WILL DIE. I EVEN CHANGED THE BATTERY THIS YEAR N STILL IT DIES WITHOUT CAUSE

NOX POSITION 1 SENSOR WENT BAD. IT WAS RECALLED ON OTHER CHEVY CRUZE DIESEL VINS BUT MINE WAS NOT RECALLED AND IT WENT BAD I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER FOR A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND THEY TOLD ME IT WAS A NOX SENSOR BUT THAT IT WAS NOT RECALLED ON MY VIN SO IT WAS NOT COVERED

THE CAR WAS BEING DRIVEN FROM ONE STATE TO THE NEXT. IT WAS A TWO IN A HALF HOUR DRIVE. NOT EVEN A HOUR INTO IT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE WE MADE SURE TO CHECK EVERYTHING BEFORE WE LEFT HOME. IT WAS FINE. THAN THE AUTO START WOULDN'T WORK. ALLIED ON START AND THEY SAID YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO. BUT I CAN'T. THAN IT STARTED MAKING THIS WEIRD SOUND WHENEVER I DRIVE. I WENT TO AUTOZONE AND THEY SAID THERE'S NOTHING CAUGHT IN IT, IT'S THE ENGINE. NOW WHENEVER I DRIVE AND WAIT AT A RED LIGHT THE CAR STARTS SHAKING A LOT. IT'S RAINING NOW AND I'M SCARED I MY LOSS CONTROL.
