General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2014 Buick Verano and Chevrolet Cruze vehicles. The left and/or right-side roof-rail air bag (RRAB) inflators located on the roof rails above the headliner, may rupture at the inflator weld joint.
An inflator that ruptures may partially inflate the air bag and cause sharp metal fragments to enter or exit the vehicle, increasing the risk of an injury.
Dealers will replace the left and/or right-side RRAB modules, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 5, 2025. Owners may contact Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300 or Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is N252530830. General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Buick Verano and 2016 Chevrolet Malibu as the electronic park lock lever may allow the ignition key to be removed without the transmission being in PARK. Also, certain 2013 Buick Encore, 2011 Buick Regal, 2013-2014 Buick Verano, 2011-2016 Chevrolet Cruze, 2010-2013 Chevrolet Equinox 2013-2015 Chevrolet Malibu, and 2011-2013 GMC Terrain vehicles may have been serviced with similar defective replacement electronic park lock levers. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 114, "Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention."
If the key is removed without the transmission in PARK, the vehicle may rollaway as occupants are exiting, increasing the risk of injury.
GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and if necessary replace the key cylinder lock housing, free of charge. The recall began on October 14, 2016. General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Chevrolet Cruze vehicles manufactured November 8, 2013, to March 12, 2015, and 2015 Chevrolet Volt vehicles manufactured April 11, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the inner tie rod may not be tightened to specification allowing the tie rod to separate from the steering gear.
Separation of the tie rod from the steering gear could result in the loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash.
GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the steering gear assembly, free of charge. The recall began on July 28, 2015. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is 15386.

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 Buick Encore all-wheel-drive vehicles manufactured August 23, 2012, to September 9, 2013; Verano vehicles manufactured August 8, 2012, to June 20, 2013; Chevrolet Cruze vehicles manufactured August 7, 2012, to August 16, 2013, and 2012-2014 Chevrolet Sonic vehicles manufactured May 10, 2011, to August 16, 2012 equipped with a Calix oil pan/block heater. In cold temperatures, the insulation on the engine block heater cord can become damaged, allowing the wires to be exposed.
Exposed wires increase the risk of electrical shock and personal injury if the cord is handled while it is plugged in.
GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the engine oil pan/block heater cord with a new cord that is rated for temperatures of minus 40 degree Celsius. The recall began in August 2014. General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 Chevrolet Cruze vehicles. In the affected vehicles, the driver's front air bag inflator may have been manufactured with an incorrect part.
In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver's air bag, the air bag's inflator may rupture and the air bag may not inflate. The rupture could cause metal fragments to strike and potentially seriously injure the vehicle occupants. Additionally, if the air bag does not inflate, the driver is at an increased risk of injury.
GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver side air bag, free of charge. The recall began on June 28, 2014. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is 14305.

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2013 and 2014 Chevrolet Cruze vehicles equipped with a 1.4L turbo engine, and manufactured between November 28, 2012, and March 7, 2014. On the affected vehicles, the right front half shaft may fracture and separate.
If the half shaft fractures and separates while driving, the vehicle would lose power and coast to a stop. If a vehicle with a fractured half shaft is parked without the parking brake applied, the vehicle could move unexpectedly. Either condition increases the risk of a crash.
GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the right half shaft, as needed, free of charge. Parts for the remedy are not currently available. GM will send an interim letter to owners in May 2014. A second owner letter will be mailed when parts are available. Owners may contact Chevrolet at 1-866-694-6546. General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2014 Buick Regal, LaCrosse, Verano, and Enclave, and Chevrolet Impala, Malibu, Cruze, and Traverse, and GMC Acadia vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions. In the affected vehicles, the transmission shift cable adjuster may disengage from the transmission shift lever. As such, these vehicles do not conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 102, "Transmission Shift Lever Sequence, Starter Interlock, and Transmission Braking Effect." They also fail to conform to FMVSS number 114, "Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention."
If a vehicle's shift cable disengages from the transmission shift lever, a driver may be unable to shift gear positions and the indicated shift position may not represent the gear position the vehicle is in. Should a disengagement occur while the vehicle is being driven, when the driver goes to stop and park the vehicle, the driver may be able to shift the lever to the "PARK" position, but the vehicle transmission may not be in the "PARK" gear position. If the vehicle is not in the "PARK" position there is a risk the vehicle will roll away as the driver and other occupants exit the vehicle or anytime thereafter. A vehicle rollaway increases the risk of injury to exiting occupants and bystanders.
General Motors will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace any affected transmission shift cable adjusters, free of charge. The recall began on April 10, 2014. PARKED THE CAR, GOT OUT AND SMELLED GASOLINE. LOOKED ALL AROUND THE CAR AND DID NOT SEE ANY GAS ON THE GROUND. OPENED THE HOOD AND FOUND A SILVER DISC IN THE FUEL LINE SPRAYING FUEL ALL OVER THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. IT IS A FUEL INJECTION PRESSURE DAMPER THAT FAILED. DEALERSHIP IS SAYING THE PART IS OBSOLETE AND CAN NOT GET ANOTHER ONE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (MAJOR WORLD CHEVROLET, 43-40 NORTHERN BLVD, LONG ISLAND CITY, NY 11101) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE BLOCK POWER CORD WAS DAMAGED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V417000 (EQUIPMENT) IN JANUARY OF 2018. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,659.

MY ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON WHILE THE STABILOCK SERVICE FLASHES ON THE DASHBOARD; CAR JERKS WHILE EITHER IDLE AND/OR STOPPED; A LOUD SQUEAKING NOISE FROM UNDER THE HOOD (ALL THESE ISSUES ALWAYS START AT THE SAME TIME!!). I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO CHEVY DEALERSHIPS AND THEY HAVE (SUPPOSEDLY) REPLACED THE SAME PART - SHAM COVER (ACCORDING TO MY INVOICES). I TOTALLY DON'T GET WHY THIS IS A NOT A RECALL ISSUE. IT IS VERY FRUSTRATING TO TAKE MY CAR IN FOR THE SAME ISSUE, AND OF COURSE, NOW THAT THE WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED, I'M SURE IT WILL BE EVEN MORE COSTLY.... WHICH I REALLY THINK IT WILL BE THE SAME THING! MY 2014 CHEVY CRUZE EXPERIENCED A FUEL LEAK IN THE FUEL SUPPLY HOSE. THE LEAK WAS SPRAYING RIGHT NEAR THE AIR INDUCTION ON THE COWL PANEL AND DRIPPING ONTO THE EXHAUST. DRIVING HOME FROM WORK AT 11:15PM ON SEPTEMBER 8TH, NEARING THE TOLL PLAZA IN GARY, INDIANA THE CAR MADE A SUDDEN SOUND KINDVE LIKE A BANG, THE ENGINE SHUT OFF, ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH CAME ON, I CAME TO A STOP AND TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO START THE VEHICLE AND IT WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING. EVERY TIME I TUNED THE KEY TO THE OFF POSITION AND THEN TURNED IT TO ACCESSORY, THE DASH DISPLAYS SERVICE AIR BAG AND SERVICE POWER STEERING. THE WINDOWS, DOOR LOCKS, TRUCK RELEASE WILL NOT WORK. I HAD TO CALL MY INSURANCE COMPANY AND SET UP A TOW TO GET THE CAR BACK HOME. I HAD TO BE AT WORK AT 7AM THAT DAY, I WORKED 16 HOURS, AND DIDN'T GET HOME TILL 1:30AM ON SEPTEMBER 9TH. THE CAR IS IN MY DRIVEWAY, IT WILL NOT START OR EVEN TURN OVER.

WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY, THE ENGINE STARTED REVVING EXTREMELY HIGH REGARDLESS OF THE GEAR I WAS IN. WE SAFELY GOT OUR SELVES OFF THE FREEWAY AND IN TO REGULAR STREET TRAFFIC. AFTER COASTING OFF THE RAMP INTO TRAFFIC, I WAS ABLE TO PUT IT IN 1ST AND DRIVE ABOUT. 3 MILES. WE STOPPED FOR A STOP LIGHT IN THE CENTER LANE ON A SLIGHT INCLINE. AND THEN THE CLUTCH HAD COMPLETELY FAILED. WHEN I TRIED TO MOVE I FIRST, THE CAR REVVED BUT ROLLED BACKWARD. NO PREVIOUS WARNING SIGNS. THE ISSUE ISN'T THE CLUTCH FAILURE, BUT THE LOW MILAGE OF THE CLUTCH FAILURE, 67000. WE WERE TOLD IT'S DUE TO WEAR AND TEAR, BUT THAT'S CONCERNING TO EXPERIENCE THIS ISSUE AT A RELATIVELY LOW MILEAGE.

WIPER BUSHING FAILS CAUSING LINKAGE TO UNATTACH LEAVING WIPER MOTIONLESS. THIS IS A SEVERE SAFETY ISSUE CAUSED BY POOR PARTS DESIGN/QUALITY OR INSTALLATION.

VEHICLE HESITATES WHEN MERGING ONTO HIGHWAY TRAFFIC. THIS BEGAN HAPPENING AFTER I OWNED THE CAR FOR MORE THAN 3 YEARS WITHOUT SIMILAR INCIDENTS. ITS DANGEROUS BECAUSE JUST WHEN YOU NEED POWER TO MERGE, THE POWER DIPS INSTEAD WHICH IS POTENTIALLY LIKELY TO END IN BEING REAR-ENDED. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED. THEY KEPT IT FOUR DAYS AND STATED THEY COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG BECAUSE THEY FOUND NO CODES. THEY STATE IT MIGHT BE DUE TO "TURBO LAG" WHICH IS NORMAL. IT IS NOT NORMAL AS I HAVE OWNED THE CAR ALMOST 4 YEARS BEFORE THIS BEGAN HAPPENING.

TAKATA RECALL FOR AIRBAGS ON A 2014 CHEVY CRUZE. AIR BAG FAILED TO FINISH DEPLOYMENT AFTER BEING TRIGGERED. I PASSED OUT FROM SHOCK DIRECTLY AFTER IMPACT AND WOKE UP HUNG OVER MY SEAT BELT WITH THE STEERING WHEEL SMOKING AND SPITTING SOOT ALL OVER THE DASH. THERE WAS ALSO A SIGN THAT DISPLAYED ON THE SPEEDOMETER RECOMMENDING AN AIRBAG SERVICE. AFTER POLICE ARRIVED, IT WAS OBVIOUS TO THEM THAT THE AIRBAG HAD MADE AN ATTEMPT TO DEPLOY BUT FAILED TO EVEN POP OUT OF THE STEERING WHEEL.

THE CAR HAS LESS THAN 40,000 MILES ON IT AND THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER NEEDS REPLACED? THE CHEVY GARAGE FOLKS TOLD MY 23 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IT COULD BREAK SUDDENLY WHILE ACCELERATING. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD JERK AND THE ENGINE WOULD REV WHILE STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE INTAKE MANIFOLD WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.

TRUNK HAS A BUTTON TO RELEASE AND OPEN IT, THE DESIGN BY GM HAS CAUSED MOISTURE TO EASILY GET INSIDE, THE OTHER ISSUE IS HOW THE BUTTONS ARE INSTALLED, MINE HAD A STRONG EPOXY SO IT MADE THE REPAIR IMPOSSIBLE WITH OUT A NEW TRIM PIECE. IF YOU LOOK AT THE CHEVY CRUZE IT IS THE PIECE THAT HAS THE LICENSE PLATE LIGHTS, IN THE MIDDLE IS THE TRUNK BUTTON, I DID CALL GM AND THEY DIDN'T SEEM TO CARE, THIS TRUNK ISSUE HAS BEEN AN ONGOING NUISANCE FOR ALOT OF CONSUMERS. CAR WILL TURN OFF WHILE DRIVING. IVE OWNED THIS CAR FOR A LITTLE OVER A YEAR AND JUST STARTED DOING THIS 5 TIMES IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE ON HIGHWAY IN TRAFFIC, TWICE IN TOWN IN TRAFFIC. THE CAR IS IN MOTION ON THE HIGWAY WHEN THIS HAPPENED, IT ALSO HAS HAPPENED TURNING ONTO HIGWAY WITH OTHER CARS BEHIND ME I ALMOST GOT REAR ENDED BY A CAR BEHIND ME CAUSE THE CAR LOST POWER! IT HAS ALSO TURN ITSELF OFF AND ON IN PARK. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED BEFORE THERE IS A MAJOR ACCIDENT THAT CAUSES BODLY HARM!!! THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARRD!!! I BOUGHT EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THIS CAR. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DEALERSHIP JULY 31ST TO FIND THE ISSUE. I ALSO HAVE CONTACTED GM. I KNOW THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR IGNITION PROBLEMS CONCERNING THIS VEHILCE IN 2014, WHEN YOU PULL UP MY VIN THERE HAS BEEN NO RECALL. I AM VERY CONCERNED FOR MY SAFTY IN THIS CAR. I HAVE HAD A FRIEND THAT HAS A CODE READER LOOK AND IT SAID THERE IS AN ENGINE ISSUE???? I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE TO GET AN ATTORNEY INVOLVED BUT I WILL IF THIS BECOMES AN ISSUE. THIS IS VERY SCARY!!!!
