Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2016 Evo, Salem, Sandstorm, Shockwave, Stealth, and Wildwood recreational trailers. The affected vehicles were mistakenly not equipped with a carbon monoxide detector to warn occupants of elevated levels of carbon monoxide.
If occupants are not warned elevated carbon monoxide levels, they are at an increased risk of injury.
Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will remove the existing Liquid Propane (L.P.) Detector and install a combination L.P./carbon monoxide detector, free of charge. The recall began on January 27, 2016. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-909-873-3777, extension 53. Forest River's number for this recall is 51-12072015-0119.

Suspension, rear, axle, non-powered axle assemblyJun 9, 2015
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2016 Evo, Salem, Sandstorm, Shockwave, Stealth, Wildwood, Cherokee Grey Wolf, Wildcat Maxx, Vibe, R-Pod, and Surveyor trailers. In the affected trailers, the studs that are used to attach the wheels to the axle hubs may break.
If the wheel studs break, the wheel could detach from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace any affected wheel hub, free of charge. The recall began on June 25, 2015. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-909-873-3777. Forest River's number for this recall is 51-05142015-0037.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2020 FOREST RIVER EVO T2360 TRAVEL TRAILER (NA) ATTACHED TO A 1996 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE TRAVEL TRAILER CAUGHT ON FIRE NEAR THE DRIVER'S SIDE WHEEL. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE WITH BOTTLES OF WATER. THE TRAVEL TRAILER WAS TAKEN TO THE NEAREST CAMPGROUND WHERE A CERTIFIED MECHANIC INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND STATED THAT THE FIRE WAS NEAR THE REAR LEFT DRUM AND THE AXLE NUT WAS NOT ATTACHED. THE DEALER (THE TRAILER HITCH, LOCATED AT 215 NORTH FRONTAGE RD, NIPOMO, CA 93444, 805-929-8095) WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE WHEEL BEARING FAILED BECAUSE THE NUT THAT WAS NEEDED TO HOLD THE BEARING IN PLACE WAS NOT PRESENT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FOREST RIVER MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE AND OPENED CASE NUMBER: WFB3429480. THE LIPPERT MANUFACTURER FOR THE REAR AXLE WAS ALSO CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 2118483. *BF *TR
