After sitting outside for 9 hours during a heavy rain storm and then driving for 30 minutes in the same storm, water is somehow entering the trim of the rear hatch, then draining into the trunk space via inside trim panel seams near the taillights. Water is entering the vehicle cabin trunk.

  7. Steering, Other or unspecified, Service brakes, Oct 21, 2023

The steering system has failed and also the brake system. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The Steering wheel appears to be sticky, so I personally have encountered a few near miss incidents where I end up over turning because I have to use excessive force to turn. The problem has not been confirmed by the dealer or inspected by anyone but myself. Yes, there were warning lights as stated earlier. The brake system light and a few other lights came on after the incident.

  8. Other or unspecified, May 16, 2023, fire

On a recent outing, I began to smell smoke and assumed it was from a nearby brush fire. In less than a minute after I first smelled smoke my vehicle began to shake. Suddenly my warning lights flashed and a puff of smoke came out from my hood near my windshield. I lost power in my vehicle as well as my steering and braking ability. Fortunately I was able to pull to the side of the road, at which point flames began to shoot out from the hood. The vehicle then became engulfed in flames and is now a total loss.

  9. Other or unspecified, Service brakes, Visibility/wiper, Apr 28, 2023

Less than 5,000 miles on car. Brake pedal, when pushing it down, began to vibrate / not go down smoothly. After a couple days of this, my brakes made a loud grinding sound when stopping or releasing the brake. Normally brakes will start to squeak before you reach a grinding sound. Again, less than 5,000 miles on this car, so way too soon to be dealing with this issue. Wiper fluid for the front has NEVER worked, even when full. It works for the back. I asked the techs who changed my oil to check it out and they could not find the issue; they recommended I take it to the dealership and suggested it may be a recall. I am getting it serviced tomorrow at a Honda service repair location near me. They said they will cover it since it is under the 3 year / 36,000 mile warranty. I hope that is true.

  10. Other or unspecified, Apr 20, 2023

Steering wheel has a sticking feeling, more noticeable at higher speeds. Seems to require more force to make small corrections, which results in over correction.

  11. Steering, Other or unspecified, Service brakes, Apr 3, 2023

The vehicle steering wheel locked up and several error warnings were displayed on the dashboard. We had to have the vehicle towed to the dealership.

  12. Other or unspecified, Mar 22, 2023

I started the car and had multiple system warning lights come on. They are electric power steering, tpms, vehicle stability assistance, low speed assist, lane keep assistance. I took to dealer and was told they don't know what problem is and was not covered under warranty. Car has less than 5000 miles on it. The car is available for inspection and the problems have not been fixed to date

  13. Steering, Other or unspecified, Lane departure, Jan 12, 2023

There are issues with steering possible lane assist. I took it to Honda to be accessed, initially the rep tried to tell me there was nothing wrong/ didn’t understand the issues I was having. Then I was told it was a small hose that was constantly triggering lane assist feature and that they needed to take the dash apart and install this part they claim they special ordered. I left my car at the service center for several days. They reported they had replaced defective part And the issue had been resolved however, It’s been 2 weeks and the car is worse than before. The steering wheel is stiffer than before and makes a clicking sound when turning any direction. I’m afraid of an accident because the issue forces the driver to constantly. The service guy claimed it’s not dangerous just something annoying. I feel frustrated because this shouldn’t be happening with a car that I just 1 year old

  14. Vehicle speed control, Other or unspecified, Forward collision avoidance, Apr 3, 2022

While driving on the freeway at 75 mph, the Adaptive Cruise Control was engaged, and when commnig up behind a slower moving truck in the slow lane, our car decelerated to match it's speed. I then went to pass the truck after several vehicles passed us on the left. As soon as I started to change lanes, the cruise control shut itself off and the car started to slow down with several more cars now right behind us in the fast lane. Once we were past the truck and back in the slow lane, I tried to re-engage the ACC, which refused to turn back on. It only gave a beep and showed an icon on the display that said ACC was off. (it was not off). The ACC would only start working again after we had gotten off the freeway and stoped the car. On this same trip, the ACC turned itself off, on about 6 or 7 different occasions. There was also a time when I was following a vehicle with ACC on, following at medium distance, and another vehicle sped past me on the left, and darted between our car and the one we had been following, and continued past that vehicle on the right side. As this other car passed between us and through, our car suddenly sped way up, forcing me to slam on the brakes so we wouldn't rear-end the vehicle in front of us. At this point, I do not trust the ACC, or any of the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems in this car, and will NOT be using them unless Honda makes some fixes. (and even then, I will be wary) Prior to this trip, my wife was in the car, parked, with engine off, using the radio to listen to a pod-cast via her phone (plugged into the usb) and the car suddenly gave her a warning message that all of the Driver Assist functions were disabled, and to please see the dealer. We took it in, and they said there were known issues with some of the cameras and they would replace ours when they get one in. They still haven't got one in, however, everything started working again on it's own after the dealer had looked at it.

  16. Vehicle speed control, Other or unspecified, Forward collision avoidance, Mar 1, 2022

While driving on a freeway, the cruise control will beep and then automatically and abruptly turn off and it will not turn back on. To turn it back on I have to pull the car over and, sometimes, turn it off and turn it back on to get the cruise control working again. This has happened multiple times and the frequency is about 2 times a week.
