Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2002-2006 CR-V vehicles. Moisture may enter the driver side power window master switch, causing the switch to fail or melt.
If the switch fails, it could overheat and smoke, increasing the risk of a fire.
Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the power window master switch and inspect the wiring harness for damage, replacing it if necessary, free of charge. The recall began January 29, 2021. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is P9D.

Vehicle speed control, accelerator pedalOct 10, 2019
Dorman Products, Inc. (Dorman) is recalling certain Accelerator Pedal Assemblies part numbers 699-114 and 825-5029-1, sold as replacement parts for 2003-2006 Acura MDX, 2004-2008 Acura TL and TSX, 2003-2007 Honda Accord, 2005-2006 Honda CR-V, 2007-2011 Honda Element, 2005-2008 Honda Pilot and 2006-2014 Honda Ridgeline vehicles. Driver side rear trailing arm broke free of the frame. Resulted in sudden loss of control and near accident.
Suspension, Mar 12, 2025
I purchased my vehicle used in 2019 and immediately noticed a loud creaking noise from the front passenger area, especially in colder weather when driving over bumps at low speeds. By 2024, the noise became louder, more frequent, and occurred in all temperatures. In October 2024, I lost control of my vehicle and nearly flipped. Warning lights briefly appeared, indicating possible suspension issues, but they disappeared before I could diagnose the problem. Unfortunately, I had no choice but to continue driving despite the safety risk. In February 2025, I had a flat tire on the front passenger side and discovered it was nearly bald—far more worn than the other tires of the same age. Upon removal, it became clear that the front lower control arm was in a dangerously unnatural state and needed replacement. I recalled seeing a 2012 recall for this exact part in my Honda account, but when I entered my VIN, it stated the recall didn’t apply—likely due to age rather than the actual defect. This is a life-or-death issue that could easily lead to a fatal crash. Honda must address this immediately.

WE PURCHASED A 2006 HONDA CR-V SE ON JANUARY 12, 2006. OUR MAIN CONCERN IS THAT THE VEHICLE SEVERELY PULLS TO THE RIGHT (PTTR). IF I LET GO OF THE STEERING WHEEL ON THE INTERSTATE, THE VEHICLE WILL CROSS OVER INTO THE ADJACENT LANE IN ABOUT 3-4 SECONDS. THE PULL IS MUCH WORSE ON SECONDARY ROADS THAT HAVE A CROWN. IN ADDITION, THE PTTR IS INCREASED BY EVEN MODERATE ACCELERATION. THIS CONDITION WAS APPARENT THE DAY WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE, HOWEVER, WE WERE ASSURED THAT AN ALIGNMENT WOULD CORRECT THE PROBLEM. SO FAR, THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN FOR REPAIR 3 TIMES. THIS INCLUDED, AN ALIGNMENT, A 5 DAY PERIOD WHERE A HONDA TECHNICAL REPRESENTATIVE WAS CALLED IN TO OVERSEE THE REPAIRS, AND LASTLY A 4 DAY DEALER VISIT WITH REPAIR RECOMMENDATIONS FROM HONDA TECHNICAL. THE FINAL OUTCOME IS THAT HONDA HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO CORRECT THE PTTR PROBLEM. WE FEEL THAT THE PTTR PROBLEM IS SEVERE AND IT CREATES AN UNSAFE DRIVING SITUATION. SUBSEQUENTLY, WE HAVE FILED A CLAIM WITH THE BBB THAT REQUESTS HONDA TO EITHER REPLACE OR REPURCHASE THE VEHICLE. HONDA HAS DENIED THE REQUEST. AN ARBITRATION HEARING IS PENDING. *NM
