Delphi Automotive Systems, LLC (Delphi) is recalling certain replacement fuel pump modules, part number FG1155-11B1, sold for use in 2005-2010 Honda Odyssey vehicles. The affected fuel pump may send an incorrect fuel reading to the fuel gauge possibly causing the vehicle to run out of fuel. The fuel gauge will always read 3/4 full to full regardless of the actual level.
A vehicle that runs out of fuel and stalls has an increased risk of a crash.
Delphi has begun notifying dealers and distributors, and will replace the fuel pump modules, free of charge. Owners may contact Delphi customer service at 1-877-411-8770. Delphi's number for this recall is GL14-004.

American Honda Motor Co., Inc. (Honda) is recalling certain 2005-2010 Honda Odyssey vehicles manufactured June 23, 2004, through September 4, 2010. In the affected vehicles, the fuel pump strainer cover may deteriorate allowing fuel to leak out.
A fuel leak increases the risk of a fire.
Parts to permanently repair the affected vehicles are not currently available. Honda will notify owners with an interim letter during May 2014. A second notice was mailed to owners October 6, 2014 when the remedy became available. Any vehicles that are currently leaking from the fuel pump cover will get a replacement, original cover. All vehicles, including those receiving the interim repair, will get an improved cover when they are available. Owners may contact Honda at 1-800-999-1009. The recall numbers associated with this campaign are JD9 (inspection and/or preliminary part replacement) and JE0 (final parts replacement).

I BOUGHT THIS CAR FROM COURTESY PALM HABOR HONDA IN 2010. AT 25000 MILES THIS CAR DIED OUT COMPLETELY ON ME. NOT A SINGLE THING WORKING INCLUDING LIGHTS ON DASHBOARD. CAR WAS TOWED TO NALLEY HONDA, BRUNSWICK GA AND WHILE IT WAS FIXED I WAS INFM THAT THE CAR HAD BAD FUSE. THE SAME WAS REPORTED TO AMERICAN HONDA PRIOR TO TOWING. AMERICAN HONDA HAS NOT TAKEN THIS MATTER SERIOUSLY SAYING IF THIS HAPPENS AGAIN PLEASE CALL US BACK AGAIN. WHAT IF THIS HAPPENS WHILE I AM ON ROAD WITH MY FAMILY. PRIOR TO THIS CAR I HAD ANOTHER 2010 HONDA ODYSSEY WHICH HAD SAME ISSUES AND WITH PRESSURE I HAD TO ASK COURTESY PALM HABOR HONDA TO REPLACE ME WITH NEW ONE WHICH THEY DID. THIS IS SOMETHING SERIOUS WHICH AMERICAN HONDA DIDN'T BELIEVE TO ADDRESS AND JUST WALKED AWAY. PREVIOUS VIN I HAD WAS [XXX]. WHO IS GOING TO BE RESPONSIBLE IF THE SAME THING HAPPENS AFTER THE MFG WARRANTY IS OVER FROM AMERICAN HONDA. I HAVE ADDRESSED THE ISSUE TO THE DEALER I BOUGHT FROM BUT THEY TOO HAVE RESPONDED WELL TO THE ISSUE AND LEFT ME SAYING NALLEY HONDA WILL TAKE CARE OF THE ISSUES. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH THE ABS LAMP AND THE SRS LAMP ILLUMINATED THEN ALL OF THE GAUGES ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL STOPPED WORKING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE COMPUTER COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND THE INSTRUMENT PANEL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIRED THE PROBLEM. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 HONDA ODYSSEY. UPON PARKING THE VEHICLE HE WAS UNABLE TO UNLOCK ANY OF THE DOORS. THE ANTI THEFT SYSTEM BEGAN TO SOUND AFTER REPEATED ATTEMPTS TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. THE INCIDENT WAS REPORTED TO THE POLICE WHO INFORMED HIM TO MOVE THE KEY BACK AND FORTH INSIDE OF THE IGNITION WHICH ALLOWED THE DOORS TO UNLOCK AND THE CONTACT TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE AND THE COMPUTER SYSTEM WAS RESET. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 5,120. UPDATED 01/14/11*LJ

2010 HONDA ODYSSEY. CONSUMER STATES SEVERAL PROBLEMS WITH VEHICLE *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WOULD STALL WHILE DRIVING. THE VSA LIGHT, DRIVE LIGHT, EMERGENCY BRAKE LIGHT WOULD ALL FLASH OR STAY ON CONSISTENTLY WHILE DRIVING. THE VEHICLE MADE A GRINDING NOISE AND THE ENGINE REVVED HIGH. *JB

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BACKUP SENSOR FAILED AND THE VOLUME WAS NOT LOUD ENOUGH FOR HIM TO HEAR WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN REVERSE. EVERYTHING IN THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF WHENEVER HE DROVE APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH IN REVERSE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THEY INFORMED HIM THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO TURN UP THE VOLUME BECAUSE OF THE DESIGN ON THE SENSOR. THE HONDA MANUFACTURER WAS CALLED AND THEY WOULD NOT LET HIM SPEAK WITH THE ENGINEER IN REGARDS TO THE VOLUME AND THE DESIGN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE WANTED THE DEALER TO INCREASE THE VOLUME WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN REVERSE. THERE WAS NO MAINTENANCE PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 380.

I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A 2010 HONDA ODYSSEY ON OCTOBER 16, 2009. ON JANUARY 16, 2010, I WAS DRIVING IN NEW YORK CITY TRAFFIC STOPPED AT A LIGHT BEHIND SEVERAL CARS. SUDDENLY THE CAR'S ENGINE STARTED TO RACE AND LURCHED FORWARD EVEN WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE. FOR SEVERAL SECONDS THE CAR KEPT LURCHING FORWARD AS I TRIED TO STEP DOWN ON THE BRAKE EVEN HARDER. AS SUDDENLY THE UNINTENDED ACCELERATION STOPPED. I CAME WITHIN INCHES OF CRASHING INTO THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. I HAVE FOUR PASSENGERS IN THE CAR WHO WITNESSED THIS EVENT AT THE TIME. *TR
