  1. Electrical system, Engine, Dec 4, 2025

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while his wife was driving 50 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power. The driver was able to pull over to the side of the road. There was no warning light illuminated. The driver was able to restart the vehicle after approximately 30 minutes, and the driver resumed driving. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V741000 (Electrical System) and 25V766000 (Engine), and related the failure to the recalls; however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where an unknown software update was performed, and the contact was advised not to use the hybrid system of the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle failed to start intermittently, made abnormal clicking sounds, and was glitching. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 16,000.

  2. Engine, Fuel/propulsion system, Dec 2, 2025

I purchased a used 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe (approx. 64,000 miles) from EIDE Chrysler in Waite Park, MN on 9/30/2025. On the initial drive home, a “Service 4WD” warning appeared. Before I could return for the axle repair, a Check Engine Light for the hybrid system also appeared. After purchase, I also began experiencing exhaust fumes entering the cabin, which is a health and fire concern. At the time of sale, the dealership provided two contradictory recall printouts for the only recall they disclosed—one stated a remedy was available and one stated no remedy was available. I was verbally told the recall had been repaired. This was inaccurate. After the sale, I discovered that my vehicle now has two open NHTSA safety recalls, both with no available remedies: • 25V741 – High-voltage battery fire-risk recall (federal stop-sale order applies). • 25V766 – Engine contamination recall that may cause engine damage or failure. These recalls did not exist at the time of purchase, but the dealership never notified me when they were issued. Stellantis only notified me of one recall; I had to discover the second by checking my VIN on NHTSA’s site. The drivetrain warning, hybrid-system fault, and exhaust fumes occurred despite very low mileage after purchase. The vehicle currently has multiple unresolved safety defects, including fire risk and potential engine failure, and cannot be repaired due to lack of available remedies. I have opened a case with Jeep/Stellantis (Case #: 94881053). I am reporting these issues because the combination of drivetrain malfunction, hybrid-system warning, cabin exhaust fumes, and two unrepaired safety recalls poses a significant risk to occupants and other drivers.

The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V766000 (Engine) and 25V741000 (Electrical System); however, parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The local dealer was contacted, and the dealer confirmed that parts were still unavailable. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The contact had not experienced a failure.

  4. Engine, Dec 2, 2025

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. In addition, the RPM became elevated. The contact drove the vehicle to the shoulder of the road. The contact then turned off the vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start. The contact stated that after several attempts, the vehicle started. In addition, the contact stated that the failure occurred once while attempting to drive forward from a stop light. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the failure was not duplicated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact stated that due to the failure, the vehicle was unsafe to drive. The contact stated that the vehicle was purchased to transport an elderly parent. The contact stated that the failure began one month after the vehicle was purchased, and the vehicle should not have been sold because of the unrepaired recall. In addition, the contact stated that the dealer had declined to schedule an appointment to service the vehicle, and the contact was informed that the parts were not available. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V766000 (Engine); however, the parts for the recall repair were unavailable. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. 5. Electrical system, Vehicle speed control, Engine, Nov 30, 2025

2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe — Ongoing Safety Defects With No Available Remedy I am reporting multiple unresolved safety defects on my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe that create a serious and ongoing risk of injury or death. I have contacted Stellantis bi-weekly since May, and my dealership has repeatedly stated they have no available repairs, no recommended remedies, and no ability to take the vehicle in due to outstanding recalls with no fix. I am being forced to operate a vehicle that is not safe to drive. 1. High-Pitch Electrical Hum and Continuous Cooling Fans While Parked/Off When the vehicle is turned off and not plugged in, it continues to emit a high-pitch electrical hum and the cooling fans run almost constantly. This behavior only occurs during charging or thermal management cycles, yet it happens while the vehicle is off, producing an abnormal load and possible electrical malfunction. Dealership confirms the issue but states there is no fix. 2. Instrument Cluster and Infotainment Screens Blacking Out While Driving Both digital displays shut off repeatedly while I am driving — up to 20 times per day. This removes access to critical information such as speed, warning indicators, and hybrid system status. The dealership again states they have no repair guidance from Stellantis and cannot resolve the issue. 3. Air Suspension Malfunctioning Hazardously The air suspension system releases and refills abruptly and uncontrollably. When I start the vehicle, the system rapidly raises and lowers regardless of mode or setting. It cycles continuously even when parked. The dealer acknowledges the behavior but reports no available service procedure or repair bulletin. 4. Sudden Uncommanded Acceleration When Slowing to a Stop (Most Dangerous Issue) When decelerating below 20 mph, the vehicle will suddenly rev to 4,000–6,000 RPM and lurch forward, requiring immediate and forceful braking to prevent collision. This happens in all modes (Hybrid, Electric, and e-Save). T

  8. Electrical system, Engine, Fuel/propulsion system, Nov 19, 2025

THIS HYBRID VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH A BATTERY THAT CAN COMBUST AND CATCH ON FIRE. A REMEDY IS UNAVAILABLE - THE CAR IS A SAFETY PROBLEM TO MY FAMILY SINCE IT CAN NOT BE CHARGED OR HOUSED IN MY GARAGE. THIS CAR WAS LEASED FOR ITS HYBRID OPTIONS FOR MY TRAVEL TO WORK - BASICALLY I AM PAYING FOR A FEATURE I CAN NOT USE. I ALSO WORRY ABOUT MY FAMILY DRIVING IN IT AS WELL. I WAS NEVER INFORMED BY ANY CORRESPONDENCE FROM STELLANTIS REGARDING THIS RECALL - IT WAS DISCOVERED BY MY OWN RESEARCH FROM NEWS ARTICLES. THERE IS NO IMMEDIATE REMEDY AND STELLANTIS REFUSES TO RELEASE ME FROM MY LEASE. THIS PROBLEM WAS CONFIRMED BY THE DEALERSHIP I LEASED THE VEHICLE FROM. THIS SUV IS AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION AT ANY TIME

  9. Electrical system, Engine, Nov 19, 2025

These vehicles need to be taken off the road and Stellantis needs to buy them back. 4 recalls all related to fires and/or failure of propulsion at speed that can cause accidents. Now I have 2 more open recalls, one for battery fire risk and another for the gasoline engine fire risk. Both the battery and gas engine systems on this vehicle are not safe enough to drive but there is no available fix for either. If the vehicles are unsafe enough to warrant these safety recalls with no fix then they should not be on the roads and those of us that are stuck with them should have relief from the manufacturer to get rid of them.

  10. Electrical system, Engine, Nov 18, 2025

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact noticed on the Mobile App, that the battery was charging every 3–5 hours. The dealer was made aware of the failure; however, the contact was informed that parts were not available to repair the vehicle. In addition, the contact was informed that a diagnostic test was needed, but because the parts were not available, the vehicle could not be repaired. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V741000 (Electrical System) and NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V766000 (Engine); however, parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The contact was advised to take the vehicle to the dealer for a diagnostic test. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000.

  12. Power train, Engine, Fuel/propulsion system, Oct 11, 2025

Vehicle had recall done for “loss of propulsion” and module replaced. Had vehicle back for 2 days and while driving 55mph, it shut itself off abruptly. Had to find an emergency place to coast to. The display says “service charging system”.

  13. Engine, Fuel/propulsion system, Oct 6, 2025

This Jeep does not get the fuel milage it is suppose too (19 city and 26 hwy). It has a rough idle and almost dies when air condition is on at a stop sign or red light. The valves chatter no matter what octane of gasoline you use.

  14. Electrical system, Engine, Fuel/propulsion system, Sep 20, 2025

I was driving with my three children in the car (including a newborn) on Monday, September 15th and was in the drive thru at the bank when my Jeep just froze. I luckily had placed it in park but it would neither turn on nor turn off - it was locked and I couldn't do anything to it. Right before it died it said "service hybrid system" and while it was in the weird not on but not off state, the battery icon was illuminated - even though the car was on. I called Stellantis for a tow because I was stuck - however they told me if they couldn't get it into neutral they couldn't tow it. After about 45 minutes the Jeep finally allowed me to turn it off and turn it back on, but I was terrified driving it home. My husband took it to Findlay Jeep in Post Falls on Wednesday, September 17th to see what the error code was and they said something about a cooling system error for the hybrid electrical system. We are taking it to Dishman Dodge on Monday September 22nd because that is the dealership we purchased from and they didn't have a technician who knew how to work on the hybrid system until then. I am also concerned about the current active recall for the propulsion system that has no current fix. I use this vehicle to carry my children around and now there are multiple safety concerns that can have lead to a fatal accident. I have filed a buyback request from Jeep because we have this vehicle on a lease - FCA Case #94280851.

  15. Steering, Electrical system, Engine, Sep 20, 2025

Sudden loss of power steering. After starting car, Codes came up immediately for backup sensor needing service, then loss of power steering needing service, check engine light and flashing mileage on dashboard. Currently at dealership waiting for assessment.

On 7/14/25, While driving 70mph on interstate, vehicle shut off, displayed service hybrid electric system, then came back on like normal. Today, 9/19/25, driving 60mph on highway, vehicle shut off, displayed service hybrid electric system and would not turn back on. I had to come to a complete stop on berm, shift to park, and restart vehicle.

  17. Engine, Jul 23, 2025

Vehicle states “Service Hybrid System” intermittently while driving and being idle. Vehicle shuts off intermittently while driving and being idle.

  18. Electrical system, Engine, Fuel/propulsion system, Jun 30, 2025

This car is a hybrid, plug in electric. I have issues with the car racing on it's own to charge the battery, meaning if I come to a stop and take my foot off the brake the car will race forward and cruise at 15mph without me accelerating. I find this to be extremely dangerous and will take it back to the dealer once again. I have had many other issues with the car and none have been resolved. This one to be is the most worrisome.

  19. Power train, Engine, Jun 24, 2025

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH, the temperature gauge rose to the maximum, the engine revved loudly, and the vehicle suddenly stalled. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact was unable to pull over to the side of the road. The vehicle was able to restart, and the contact continued driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the dealer attempted to diagnose the vehicle, but the failure could not be duplicated. The contact stated that the failure recurred while driving. The vehicle was taken to AutoNation Chrysler Jeep West (16300 W Colfax Ave, Golden, CO 80401); and the contact provided a video of a previous occurrence of the failure to the dealer; however, the dealer could not duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact was referred the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

As I was driving onto the highway I reached to about 70 mph. The vehicle said “service electric system” on the dashboard and instantly the vehicle lost power and turned off. It then shifted from drive to park without warning as I was still on the highway. I pulled over safely without causing an accident and turned the vehicle completely off.

First, this Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 4XE is a disaster! It has broken down 4 times so far. And it has been towed to the dealership 3 times. The safety issues is that is has literally stopped in the middle of the road or highway 3 times so far. It has been to shop 4 times to get fixed with no solution at all. I have talked to others who have or had this vehicle with many of the same issues. They hate the car, including m,e, and cannot wait or have gotten rid of the car. Lemon law is my next step. Cannot believe that you have not done a mandatory recall on all of these 4XE Jeeps/.

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle was jolting forward. The check engine warning light was intermittently illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the transmission had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The contact was denied vehicle rental assistance. The contact had just undergone a heart surgery and was concerned for his safety. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000.

My jeep is a 2024, with just about 12,000 miles. On Monday, May 5, 2025. My Air Conditioner stopped working. It was only blowing out warm air. Now I’m told there’s some kind of AC leak and it will take 2-5 days for parks and a full day to repair. After reading reviews. This is a known issue with 2022 jeeps. This needs to be an issue with 2024. This is my 3rd jeep and I’ve never had issues like this.

I was traveling on a highway at 65MPH in Hybrid mode. The car displayed a Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System Warning Message along with several other system failure messages in rapid succession. The battery failure icon was also on. The car lost all power and started slowing down. Luckily traffic was light and I was able to reach a point to where I was able to move to a spot on the roadside. I stopped the car and it automatically went into park and would not move out of park. After several tries I was able to start the vehicle in esave mode and it was running on the ICE. All of the errors cleared. I was able to proceed to a side road and eventually make it home. I took it to my local dealer the next day and a read of the code was a B273C indicating digital crash detection. The service manager said this is a known problem and they are waiting for a fix. Reference Star Publication S2408000063 Rev. C In most cases only the Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System Warning Message comes on for a few second and goes away. This has occurred on my vehicle multiple times with no side effects. One other time the car went into Turtle mode, which cleared after a restart. It was in town so was not an issue to pull over. This time the loss of power could have been catastrophic if traffic was heavy while traveling on a busy highway at high speeds.

The entire vehicle failed with a No Start Issue. The vehicle will not wake up, can not jump off. My safety is being stranded without a workable vehicle. No the problem has not been resolved after being towed into service to the dealer twice. The STAR engineers got involved this last time but asked the service center to release the vehicle to me because they could not replicate the issue. No warning lamps, messages or other symptoms to indicate a problem with the vehicle/engine/electronic system, the vehicle is just simply dead.
