Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2015-2018 Nissan Murano, 2016-2018 Nissan Maxima, and 2017-2019 Nissan Pathfinder and Infiniti QX60 vehicles. These vehicles were previously recalled and unrepaired, or inspected and determined to not need a repair, under recall number 18V-601. In addition, this recall expands the previous population. The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) actuator pumps may allow brake fluid to leak onto an internal circuit board.
A brake fluid leak on the circuit board may result in an electrical short, increasing the risk of a fire.
Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the ABS actuator, free of charge. Owners will receive a second notice when remedy parts become available, currently expected to be during summer 2020. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Note: If the ABS warning light remains illuminated for more than 10 seconds after engine start up, owners are advised to park the vehicle outdoors away from other vehicles or structures and to not drive the vehicle.

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Nissan Altima, Armada, Frontier, Kicks, Leaf, Maxima, Murano, NV, NV200, Pathfinder, Rogue, Rogue Sport, Sentra, Titan, Titan Diesel, Versa Note and Versa Sedan vehicles, as well as Infiniti Q50, Q60, QX30 and QX80 vehicles. Additionally included are 2019 Nissan GT-R and Taxi and Infiniti QX50, QX60, Q70, Q70L vehicles. The back-up camera and display settings can be adjusted such that the rear view image is no longer visible and the system will retain that setting the next time the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
The lack of an image in the back-up camera display increases the risk of a crash.
Nissan will notify owners in phases, having dealers update the back-up camera settings software, free of charge. The recall began November 11, 2019 and all affected VINs should be activated. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 or INFINITI customer service at 1-800-662-6200.

While entering the [XXX] going East (Home) exit [XXX] I needed to accelerate because of incoming vehicles to my left (Freeway) Instead of going fast my Nissan Pathfinder lose some power to accelarate and my speed reduce to 60 mph And I knew that something is very wrong there is a big trailer behind me, So at this point It felt like my SUV is not responding when I push the pedal, So I decided to pull over to the nearest exit which is [XXX] and end up pulling over near [XXX]. I turned off the engine hoping that the my SUV is going to be fine, But unfortunately the break is locked all of a sudden, To make the long story short it wont start, Here I am on the side of the freeway calling triple A , waited for almost 3 Hours, Thank God the triple A team helped me to calm down because at this point I have to take care of my safety first. I thank God that I was driving alone and not with my future wife and two children [XXX] and [XXX] old. I' m writing because this might happen again, not only to me but to other families,This is very unsafe I pray to God that you'll do something to fix this issue God bless. Cruise control does not always brake when coming close to object. ABS, traction control and collision warning lights will come on periodically causes cruse control to not operate at all. First time it happened was Dec of 2020, was told by dealer it was faulty sensor and was supposedly fixed yet warning lights continue to come on frequently and cruise control will not work until car if shut of and back on. Since 2020 I have reported is to Keating Nissan a few times but they say they lights have to be on when I bring it it. When car shut off lights go off and don’t always come back on right away. Car has tended to speed up on its own when cruise control is on when no need to speed up on flat straight road stretch. Last time light illuminated was Feb 1st, Jan 14 2023 although it has happened periodically since 2021 after first incident in 2020. Also warning sensor for coming close to objects in front of you when parking does not alert at all.

The ICC gives false crash warnings and automatically brakes your vehicle while driving at highway speeds, which is a dangerous situation. I believe it to be a bad Bosch Radar Sensor which is faulty. Other owners have told me of their same problem.

When using the Intelligent Cruise Control the car gets false readings and brakes your car automatically which is dangerous while driving on the highway.

GOING DOWN A BUSY ROAD AT 45 MILES PER HOUR MY CAR STOPPED COMPLETELY AND STARTED BEEPING AND A WARNING LIGHT CAME UP ON THE DASHBOARD WITH A BIG EXCLAMATION POINT. THERE WAS NOTHING IN FRONT OF MY CAR NO OTHER CARS AND IT COMPLETELY STOPPED ON ITS OWN. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE I WAS SCARED TO DRIVE MY CAR AND THEY SAID THE SENSOR WAS FAULTY THEY REPLACED IT WITH THE SAME SENSOR AND SAID THAT NISSANS DEVELOPMENT AND RESEARCH DEPT. WAS SHUT DOWN THAT THEY ARE THE ONES TO FIGURE THE ISSUE OUT BUT THEY REPLACED WITH SAME SENSOR AND SAID IT COULD HAPPEN AGAIN WITHIN 6 MONTHS TO A YEAR FROM THE HEAT.

AEB (AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING) LIGHT RANDOMLY COMES WHICH MEANS AEB FUNCTION HAS BEEN TURNED OFF. THIS ACTION DISABLES INTELLIGENT CRUISE CONTROL WHICH RELIES ON AEB TO AUTOMATICALLY SLOW THE CAR IF IT ENCOUNTERS A SLOWER VEHICLE AHEAD. ONLY HAD THE CAR A WEEK OR SO, BOUGHT USED WITH 40,000 MILES ON IT FROM ENTERPRISE CAR RENTAL. READING THE WEB INDICATES THIS COULD BE AN ISSUE IF YOU ARE DRIVING WITH CRUISE CONTROL ENABLED AND THEN CRUISE CONTROL IS RANDOMLY TURNED OFF DUE TO FAULTY (BOSCH?) RADAR SENSOR. VEHICLES WITH AEB SHOULD HAVE A MEANS TO TURN AEB OFF WITHOUT DISABLING FEATURES SUCH AS CRUISE CONTROL. CRUISE CONTROL FEATURE IS PRETTY STANDARD AND HAS BEEN AROUND FOR YEARS. SHOULD NOT DISABLE IT SIMPLY DUE TO NEW GOVERNMENTAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS.
