Triumph Motorcycles America, Ltd. (Triumph) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Daytona 660 motorcycles. The engine may fail due to internal damage from a disruption of oil flow.
Engine failure increases the risk of a crash.
Dealers will increase the engine oil capacity and install a redesigned dipstick, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 10, 2025. Owners may contact Triumph customer service at 1-678-854-2010. Triumph's number for this recall is SRAN 640.

Engine, Sep 25, 2026
The engine experienced catastrophic failure while riding the motorcycle at highway speeds - loss of power, a clicking noise, and then the engine died completely. Rider had to pull to the side of the freeway and coast to a safe location, engine would not restart. Motorcycle was then towed to the dealership who has evaluated the motorcycle and damage and opened a goodwill claim with Triumph corporate as the vehicle warranty expired at 20,000 miles (just prior to this incident occurring). The owner received the first and only recall notice for the low oil/short dipstick issue for this motorcycle on June 17th, 2026 via email - this was received five (5) days after the motorcycle was towed to the dealership on June 12th, 2026, and approximately 2.5 weeks following the engine's catastrophic failure. Warning lights showed up when the engine failed, but not prior. The manufacturer is refusing to replace/repair the engine due to the warranty being expired, even though the issue is due to the recall. I have only serviced this motorcycle with the dealership from which it was purchased (an authorized servicer of my motorcycle brand) and have maintained all records relating to services thus far (pre-sale inspection, 600 mile break-in service record, and 10k service record). The motorcycle was already on the schedule to be serviced for the 20k service interval. (10k service intervals for the Daytona 660, per the manufacturers recommendations). I also have written correspondence with the dealership regarding this issue and their communication with Triumph corporate.
