An ABS system that does not function properly can increase the risk of a crash.
Dealers will provide a new 17" spare tire and wheel assembly that is compatible with the accessory wheels, free of charge. Dealers will also apply a new spare tire information label, and provide owners with an owner's manual insert clarifying which spare tire to use with the accessory road tires and with the 17" original tires. Electrical system, 12v/24v/48v battery, cablesDec 12, 2019
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks. The battery positive (B+) cable rings may have been manufactured with excessive glue, potentially causing an intermittent electrical connection between the B+ cable and alternator.
An intermittent electrical connection between the B+ battery cable and the alternator could cause the vehicle to stall, increasing the risk of a crash. The intermittent connection could also lead to electrical arcing, which could generate sufficient heat to damage surrounding material, increasing the risk of a fire.
GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect for the presence of glue or other contamination at the B+ cable attachment to the alternator and clean the connection and reattach the B+ cable connection, as necessary. If arcing has damaged the cable, nut, or alternator, the dealer will replace the damaged components. All services will be performed free of charge. GM issued owners an interim notification on February 4, 2020. GM issued second notice and the recall began March 9, 2019. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC customer service at 1-888-988-7267. GM's number for this recall is N192273510.

I have 2019 chevy silverado 1500 that only has 38000 miles and bought it at 34000 miles. I drive it 20 miles if that to work and back only and use my wifes cars another chevy on weekends family car. One morning i turned it on and it stated no oil pressure to turn car off. I did as it stated lifted the hood and can tell the oil cooler line/hose came off due to the latch bracket not holding. Thank God i wasnt on the highway in dfw traffic could have caused an accident. Low and behold many hundreds of complaints with the same vehicle and issue has been filed with Gm motors. While in alaska and canada the exact same issue is recalled but not the united states of America! Please help as i cannot replace an engine in this time today with a family over an issue many hundreds of chevy owners are having. Its an obvious recall and part thats not up to the law or standards.

Cracked Engine. There was no warning. No indications prior to incident. Driving approximately 45/50 mph on road, out of NO WHERE a message appeared "Shift into NEUTRAL and SHUT OFF ENGINE" I coasted to the side of the of road, there was no power at all. I did as the message stated. Once I turned off the vehicle, it would not start. It has not been able to start since that time. I had to have the vehicle towed. First to my local mechanic who could not find anything and suggested to take to a dealer, I had to have it towed again. Thankfully other vehicles behind me were patient enough for me to get to the side of road. However, this could have caused a very serious accident. I have read other complaints online regarding the same issue. GM/CHEVY states there are not enough complaints of the issue but have had some. Does a death need to occur to get attention? I certainly hope not. The vehicle has been properly maintained. Chevy can not give a reason for this happening. My vehicle is over the warranty amount in mileage. Therefore I have to pay 30% of the cost for a new engine. I would not be as upset if there was something I did, but if it is properly maintained, why? No one can answer that question. All I get is "I understand". If they did, they would have done something sooner and they would cover this cost 100%.There has to be some defect or issue somewhere. They can not seem to give me an exact figure for the repair. Who knows what my out of pocket cost will be.

I was on my way to an important doctor appointment driving on the interstate in fairly heavy traffic. All at once with no warning my engine died and the transmission shifted itself into neutral. I was in the fast lane when the engine stopped. Fortunately I was able to make it over to the emergency lane. Otherwise I could have very likely have been hit by another driver. This was a very scary occurrence. I had it towed to the dealer and was told that my 6.2L engine was locked up. I have done my own oil changes for the past 55 years so I know for a fact that there was oil in the engine and it had be changed regularly. From what I have read on numerous other web sites this seems to be a common occurrence with these engines. I think there should be a factory recall on these engines immediately before someone is seriously injured or killed. Please look into this very serious problem.

Driving truck down road, suddenly alert on dashboard comes on that says “oil pressure low, shut off vehicle.” Turned into the parking lot, shut truck off. Noticed oil cooling line had come off the clamped side. Tried replacing it into clamp and replacing oil but engine would not turn over. Towed to shop. Had to replace entire engine. Noticed that other 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500s were recalled for same issue. Called to report to GMC—- they would not do anything about it since it was not part of the original recall. Please consider asking them to expand recall—-given that the recall reflects the exact issue we had with our 2019 Chevy.

The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, the "Oil Pressure Low, Turn Vehicle Off" message was displayed. The contact's wife pulled to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the failure was related to Customer Satisfaction Program: N212326940 (Engine Oil Cooler Lines Detaching from Crimp); however, the VIN was not included. The contact stated that the rear main seal had previously been replaced due to an engine oil leak, but the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 84,000.

I had an oil cooler line fail on the interstate, causing a sudden loss of oil pressure. Caused a great deal of smoke to the side and rear of vehicle as well as oil spilled beneath. I was fortunate to get off the road before an accident occurred. There was a related recall to this line in the past but covered only a small number of vehicles. It still seems to be a common occurrence according to several mechanics, vehicle owners, and tow truck drivers.

I am unsure why this organization has not made GM fix their lifter issues for their v8 engines. it is very common and has been around since the early 2000's especially with the 5.3-liter engine. my engine just had lifter failure at a little over 80,000 miles. this repair can cost up to 4000 to 12000 to fix depending on how bad the failure is. There are class action lawsuits on this issue. It's time to make GM pay up for customer losses. I am 5000 over my extended warranty, can't get a loaner from the dealership, haven't had my truck for almost over a month, spent 900 in car rentals so far. Again, this is a known problem, it needs to be addressed and fixed once for all. * Summary* Lifter failure Happened on the highway, lost almost complete power to my drive train abruptly. putting my safety and others safety at risk This is a very known and common problem with the dealerships, even the tow truck driver said must be your lifters before it was even at the deal, said he picks up 2-3 of these trucks a week with the issue. The component is at the dealership. diagnosed as failed lifters, still waiting for them to inspect the internal parts of the engine to see if it destroyed the internals with the failure. Warning lights came on at failure, and no symptoms beforehand.
Engine, Feb 21, 2024
Valve lifter broke cause misfire and engine slowdown. Truck towed back home, no longer useable, dealer stated vehicle off warranty GM has no recall. This is a known issue, with many incidents which has led to a class action lawsuit, that I am planning to join.
Engine, Feb 20, 2024
The contact owns a 2019 Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while her husband was driving 25 MPH, he observed a burning oil odor coming from the front of the vehicle. An unknown warning light illuminated with a message to turn off the vehicle. The vehicle was turned off and was towed to the residence. On another occasion, while driving approximately 55 MPH, the oil pressure warning light illuminated. The vehicle was turned off and towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the oil pressure lines had ruptured, and the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a complaint was filed. The failure mileage was 74,350.
Engine, Feb 20, 2024
Driving at normal speed, normal weather, and normal highway conditions my 2019 Chevy silverado 1500 suddenly, without any prior warning, became undrivable due to "No Oil Pressure". I had to pull over on the side of the highway where it stayed until the vehicle could be towed to a local auto mechanic. The mechanic informed me that the issue was due to an Engine Oil Cooler Line rupture; the same issue that's plaguing many other vehicles of my age and make. There is a recall: N212326940-01 as evidence. I don't understand why this recall hasn't been issued to others outside of Canada and Alaska, especially when this problem is happening at frequencies to cause a shortage of replacement parts in other parts of the U.S..
Engine, Feb 14, 2024
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving 50 MPH in extremely cold temperatures, the engine seized and the wheels locked up inadvertently, causing the vehicle to skid to a stop. The contact was unable to pull to the side of the road. The vehicle failed to restart. The contact stated had to walk back to the residence in the extremely cold weather. The vehicle was towed to a friend’s garage. The vehicle was then towed to an unknown dealer, where it was diagnosed that the lifters had failed. The dealer determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 71,000.

Engine cooler line is leaky. if I continue to operate the vehicle with low oil pressure, there may be a loss of propulsion. An engine operating with low oil pressure may also be prone to failure. In 2021, a TSB was issued to repair this problem, but it no longer is active.
Engine and engine cooling, Feb 12, 2024
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while the temperature was below zero, the oil cooler lines cracked and began to leak oil. The contact noticed oil spots on the driveway. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact called the local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the failure was related to the Customer Satisfaction Program: N192220080 (Engine Oil Cooler Lines Detaching from Crimp). The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 62,000.

The truck has lifter failure leaving the Engine in Operatable at best you and you kids are stranded in 0% wether or broken down in the road. The other outcome is the Engine Explodes like a bomb when the internals let go from the failure. Lucky I was just left in the cold where I could have frozen to death. This happened at 70k miles but is happening to all the 19+ trucks with 5.3-6.2 the other problem is a transmission shudder making you barely able to keep control of the vehicle. You have had so many complaints here there have been several class action lawsuits yet nothing has been done why is Gm not held accountable?
Power train, Engine, Feb 7, 2024
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at various speeds, the vehicle was shuttering with a whining sound coming from the engine compartment. The vehicle was taken to a dealer however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. On another occasion, while driving 70 MPH, the engine revved but the transmission failed to shift gear as needed and the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. The vehicle was not able to restart. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

The contact stated that while driving at 45 MPH, a warning chime sounded as the "Low Oil Pressure, Turn Vehicle Off Immediately" message appeared on the instrument panel. The contact pulled off to the shoulder of the highway and had the vehicle towed to the dealer. The dealer discovered a leak in the oil cooler line that needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the vehicle was out of warranty. The vehicle was not repaired and remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was 66,248.

I was driving my 2019 Chevy Silverado and the low oil pressure light came on. I pulled over to find that my truck was leaking oil. I called a tow truck and had the tow truck take me to location that I bought the truck (25 miles away). While waiting for the tow truck I did research about what could be happening. While doing my research I found this recall by Chevy: [XXX] My truck was looked at and I was called the next day and informed that the issue was "oil cooler line crimps coming apart and leaking". To my dismay I was informed that my VIN was not part of this recall. I find this to be either very ironic or the recall needs to be expanded to include additional 2019 Chevy Silverado's. I have an email from the service manager; Dereck West, at Victory Chevy Milan Michigan, stating that the diagnosis was as follows: "inspected to find oil cooler line crimps coming apart and leaking. replaced oil cooler line assembly". Again, this seems to match the recall perfectly. I was advised by Chevy to file a complaint and retain all records related to this incident. I have tried contacting GM for additional support. I have been unsuccessful with getting any responses from GM customer support. Upon additional research I found many forums that describe the exact same issue that I have described above. Customers having to pay for an issue that matches identically to a recall because their VIN is not part of the recall. It is my opinion that this recall should be expanded to include additional VIN's for 2019 Chevy Silverado's. I am more than willing to provide any additional information that might be needed. I appreciate your time in advance and look forward to hearing from you. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I started vehicle. Everything seemed fine. Drove 2 blocks and all eletricals started acting up. Lights flashing all warning lights went off. Service brakes, Service parking brake, service ECM, etc. Motor started to bog down and major knocking from engine. Took to GMC dealership. They found issues with lifters and had to replace all lifters and camshaft. Also replaced faulty brake sensor. Get truck back and oil cooler hose or line came off and was leaking oil. 1 week after repairs. Take back to dealership for repairs. 2 weeks later went to start truck all electronics went haywire, lights flashing, all warning lights start going off again. Truck will not start. Let sit for 15 mins. Try starting and no electrical power at all. Truck will not shift out of park. Major issue. Sounds to be a common issue with 2019 Trail Boss. Only has 40,000 miles.
