STEERING GEAR BOX NEEDED TO BE CHANGED. TOOK OUR VEHICLE IN FOR A LEAK COMING OFF WHAT LOOKED TO BE A COOLANT LINE. NEXT THING I KNOW WE GOT A CALL THAT OUR GEAR BOX NEEDED REPLACED WHICH LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THAT WHEN WE TOOK IT IN FOR A REGULAR SERVICE RECENTLY THEY SAID WE HAD A LEAK IN THE DRIVE LINE WHICH WE FIXED. THE DEALERSHIP LOOKED AT DETERMINED THE LEAK I SAW WAS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PROBLEM IM JUST REACHING OUT TO YOU GUYS TO MAYBE LOOK INTO THE STEERING GEARBOX ISSUE ONLY BECAUSE A CAR WITH 80000 MILES ON IT SHOULD NOT HAVE SUCH A MAJOR ISSUE. I KNOW THINGS GO WRONG ON VEHICLES JUST WOULD LIKE TO MAKE YOU AWARE OF A SITUATION THAT IS ONGOING I HAVE READ ON YOUR SITE OTHERS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. TO ADD TO IT THE CAR STEERING SEEMED NORMAL NO ISSUES I AM GLAD THEY CAUGHT CAUSE IF STEERING WERE TO FAIL THAT COULD BE A BAD SITUATION.

VEHICLE IS HAVING ISSUES STARTING WHILE PARKED. I HAVE SEEN THAT 2012 - 2013 DODGE DURANGO'S DO HAVE A ACTIVE RECALL FROM CHRYLSER ON CERTAIN MODELS FOR THE TIPM. THE ISSUES STEMS FROM THE CARS INABILITY TO START DUE TO THE TIPM NOT PROVIDING FUEL WHEN ATTEMPTING TO START. THE STARTER IS ATTEMPTING TO START THE VEHICLE BUT IT DOES NOT FULLY TURN OVER. HTTP://M.CARCOMPLAINTS.COM/NEWS/2015/CHRYSLER-DODGE-JEEP-TIPM-LAWSUIT.SHTML THIS ISSUE STARTED MID MARCH 2019 AND HAS PERSISTENTLY GOTTEN WORSE WITH SOMETIMES NOW FAILING TO PROPERLY START.

I HAD THE RECALL DONE IN 2015 FOR THE FUEL PUMP RELAY. I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE WHEN IT DIED AND NOW I AM BEING TOLD THE FUEL PUMP RELAY IS OUT AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I SPOKE WITH THE 800 NUMBER FOR DODGE WHO REFUSED TO COVER THE REPLACEMENT BECAUSE I HAD IT DONE ALREADY. THIS IS SOMETHING THAT SHUTS THE VEHICLE DOWN EVEN IF YOU ARE DRIVING. I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE AND IT SHUT DOWN AS SOON I CAME INTO MY NEIGHBORHOOD. IT HAD TO BE TOWED.

EVERY 3 OR 5 DAYS, AFTER STARTING THE ENGINE, IT COMPLETELY STOPS. ALL POWER IS LOST. IN ORDER FOR THE ENGINE TO START AGAIN, I HAVE TO DEPRESS THE IGNITION BUTTON AND OPEN UP THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR! IT SEEMS LIKE THIS IS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. I'M AFRAID THE ENGINE MIGHT STALL WHILE I'M DRIVING THE VEHICLE. HAS THERE BEEN A RECALL TO ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM? I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE EXACTLY ONE YEAR AGAIN AND THIS PROBLEM BEGAN EXACTLY ONE MONTH AFTER I PURCHASED IT. JUNE, 2018.

CAR STALLS OUT. NOTICED THERE WERE RECALLS FOR ALTERNATOR BUT DOESNT COME UP ON YOUR WEBSITE. DO RECALLS EXPIRE. WIFE WAS DRIVING ON RESIDENTIAL STREET WHEN CAR STALLED. SHE WAS ABLE TO GET IT STARTED. HAPPENED TWICE IN LAST MONTH

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE DURANGO. WHILE STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE ALSO OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 10-50 MPH. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS WERE MADE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. ON ONE OCCASION, THE VEHICLE RESTARTED INDEPENDENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO EXECUTIVE JEEP (LOCATED AT 900 UNIVERSAL DR N, NORTH HAVEN, CT 06473, (203) 239-5213) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO RETRIEVE A FAULT CODE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 64,000.

CAMSHAFT AND LIFTERS ON CHRYSLER 5.7L HEMI ENGINES NEED REPLACEMENT. I HAVE A 2013 DODGE DURANGO WITH THE 5.7L HEMI ENGINE. I HAVE THE OIL CHANGED REGULARLY AT 4000 MILES. WITH 91,000 MILES ON THE ENGINE, THE ENGINE REPORTED A MISS FIRE ON CYLINDER 5. HAD THE VEHICLE CHECKED AT THE LOCAL DODGE DEALERSHIP, AND THEY STATED THAT THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE CAM AND LIFTERS. THIS SOUNDS LIKE A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE ENGINES. THE DODGE MECHANIC TOLD ME HE WAS WORKING ON THREE OTHER 5.7L HEMI ENGINES THAT HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. IF YOU LOOK ON LINE, THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE WITH OTHER OWNERS OF VEHICLES THAT HAVE THE 5.7L ENGINE.

I HAVE 2013 DODGE DURANGO SXT AND I BOUT IT FROM MIKE ALBERTS DEALERSHIP IN CINCINNATI, OHIO. A LITTLE OVER A YEAR I BOUGHT IT, IT STARTED HAVING ISSUES WITH THE TRUCK CUTTING OFF WHEN I HIT BUMPS. THE HEADLIGHTS KEEP GOING OUT, I HAVE TO REPLACE THE THE BULBS AND THEN FINALLY REPLACED THE HARNESS THAT HOUSE THE BULBS BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL ONE WAS FRIED. OVER TIME THE ONES THAT I BOUT ARE BEGINNING TO BURN AS WELL CAUSING THE BULBS TO GO OUT. WHEN I TAKE THE TRUCK BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY SAY THEY HAVE CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT THE ISSUE IS WHEN IT COMES TO THE TRUCK CUTTING OFF. IT'S A SAFETY HAZARD FOR MY FAMILY DRIVING THAT TRUCK AND I'M SURE IT WOULDN'T LOOK NICE ON Y'ALL END IF I WAS TO GET INTO AN ACCIDENT WITH THIS VEHICLE IF IT STALLS ON ME.

I HAVE A 2013 DODGE DURANGO, TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME I HAVE AN ELECTRIC PROBLEM.. FOR THIS TRUCK TO ONLY BE 6 YEARS OLD AND FULLY LOADED IM NOT UNDERSTANDING WHY ITS A PROBLEM SO BIG... THE LIGHTS WENT OUT WITHOUT ANY WARNINGS.

WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE DRIVE POSITION AND WAITING FOR THE GARAGE DOOR TO OPEN, THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE HEAD REST AIR BAG DEPLOYED WITHOUT WARNING OR AN IMPACT. AFTERWARDS, THE AIR BAG INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE PASSENGER SUSTAINED A HEAD AND NECK INJURY THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER (POSNER PARK CHRYSLER DODGE, 42650 HIGHWAY 27, DAVENPORT, FL) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 117,000.

I WAS DRIVING AND THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING. THERE ARE NO LIGHTS ON, ON THE DASH AND IT IS NOT GIVING OFF ANY CODES. THE VEHICLE HAS SHUT OFF THREE TIMES NOW. THE FIRST TIME IN JANUARY, I HAD JUST GOT OFF OF THE HIGHWAY AND BEGAN TO TRAVEL AGAIN. THE TRUCK TURNED OFF WHEN I GOT UP TO AROUND 25-30 MILES PER HOUR. THE SECOND TIME IN MARCH, I HAD STOPPED AND STARTED TO TRAVEL AGAIN AND WAS GOING ABOUT 25 MILES PER HOUR COMING UP AN UNDERPASS.AND THE THIRD TIME WAS YESTERDAY. I WAS DRIVING UP A CITY STREET GOING ABOUT 40 MILES PER HOUR AND THE TRUCK SHUT OFF. THERE WAS NO ONE ON THE SIDE OF ME. IT FELT LIKE THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING. I WAS ABLE TO WRESTLE THE STEERING WHEEL TO MOVE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE TRUCK COASTED AND STOPPED. I COULD NOT PRESS THE BRAKE!!!! EACH TIME THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF WAS WHEN I WAS COMING OFF OF A STOP AND BRINGING THE VEHICLE BACK UP TO SPEED, EXCEPT YESTERDAY IT SHUT OFF ONCE I WAS UP TO ABOUT 40 MILES PER HOUR. THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF, I WAS UNABLE TO STEER THE TRUCK AS IF IT HAD NO POWER STEERING AND I COULD NOT PRESS THE BRAKES. I WAS ABLE TO WRESTLE THE TRUCK OVER AND RESTART IT. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE. I REPORTED IT TO DODGE TODAY AND THEY SAID THERE ARE NO OPEN RECALLS ON THIS ISSUE AND TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALER. HOWEVER, I SEARCHED ONLINE AND THERE ARE NUMEROUS SIMILAR COMPLAINTS. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE BEFORE SOMEONE DIES.

WHILE DRIVING MY CAR IS CONTINUOUSLY SHUTTING OFF. I LOSE POWER STEERING AND NEED TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND RESTART IT. THE FIRST TIME I WAS COASTING AT 45 MPH THE CAR DISPLAY CONTROLS WHEN OFF AND TURNED BACK ON. THE SECOND TIME I WAS TURNING INTO A PARKING STALL AND THE CAR DIED MID PARK AT WHICH POINT I HAD TO MANUALLY RESTART. THE MOST RECENT TIME I WAS DRIVING MY KIDS TO SCHOOL AND THE CAR DIED WHILE GOING 35 I HAD TO PULL OVER TO THE SHOULDER (WITH NO POWER STEERING) AND RESTART THE ENGINE. THE MUSIC AND HEADLIGHTS REMAINED ON WHILE THE ENGINE WAS OFF. THE CAR STARTS RIGHT UP WITHOUT HESITATION AND THE LOCAL DODGE DELEARSHIP IS NOT FINDING A CODE TO PROPERLY DETECT THE PROBLEM THEIR BEST GUESS IS TO REPLACE THE TIPM IN HOPES IT WILL FIX THE PROBLEM. I NEED A SAFE RELIABLE CAR AND NOT ONE THAT IS AS RISK OF DYING MID DRIVE AND CAUSING AN ACCIDENT HURTING MY FAMILY OR OTHERS.
Service brakes, Engine, Fuel/propulsion system, Apr 15, 2019
I WAS DRIVING IN SOME PRETTY HARD RAIN GOING ABOUT 60MPH. I SLOWED THE CAR DOWN TO ABOUT 40 AND WHEN ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE AGAIN THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE THEN SEEMED TO STALL AND LOSE BOTH BREAKS AND STEERING. I WAS ON A HILL SO IT WAS VERY SCARY. I WAS ABLE TO PUMP THE EMERGENCY BREAK AND GET THE VEHICLE TO STOP. SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THIS VEHICLE CAUSING IT TO NOT ACCELERATE, THEN LOSE POWER AND BREAKS. I WAS READING AN ISSUE WITH THE ALTERNATOR MAY BE THE CASE BUT I AM NOT SURE HOW THAT WOULD CAUSE LOSS OF BREAKS. ALSO MY DEALERSHIP STATES THEY ALREADY FIXED THE ALTERNATOR RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE.

CAR HAS ISSUES STARTING. STARTER IS CRANKING, NO FUEL TO FIRE THE CAR. CAR HAS 1/2 TANK OF GAS.
Electrical system, Engine, Apr 4, 2019
MY DURANGO SUDDENLY LOST ALL POWER TWICE WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 35-55 MPH. ONCE HEADING TO A STOP SIGN AND ONCE ON THE FAR LEFT SIDE OF HIGHWAY. I HAVE HAD TO QUICKLY PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, I ATTEMPTED NUMEROUS TIMES TO RESTART IT. PRIOR TO THAT, OFTEN TIMES YOU WOULD TURN THE KEY AND THE DASH LIGHTS WOULD COME ON AND THE CAR WOULD DO NOTHING...NOT EVEN TURN OVER. AFTER A FEW ATTEMPTS, IT WOULD START. I NEED TO GET THIS FIXED. I HAVE 116K MILES AND THIS HAS HAPPENED TWO ME TWICE IN THE LAST THREE WEEKS.
Fuel/propulsion system, Mar 28, 2019
UPON TRYING TO START MY VEHICLE IT STARTS TRIES TO START BUT SEEMS IT IS NOT GETTING FUEL TO ACTUALLY TURN THE MOTOR. THIS HAPPENS SEVERAL TIMES AND THEN IT WILL START. ONCE ALREADY I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WHEN THE VEHICLE STARTED SPUTTERING LIKE IT WASN'T GETTING ENOUGH FUEL. THEN IT SHUT DOWN SUDDENLY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. I WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE, THEY HAD TO RUN OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO KEEP FROM HITTING ME. AFTER SEVERAL TRIES TO RESTART THE VEHICLE I LET IT SIT FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES AND THEN TRIED TO RESTART IT AGAIN. IT RESTARTED AND I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE REST OF THE WAY HOME. HAD I BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY BAD AS I HAD A BOX OF HONEYBEES IN THE BACK OF THE VEHICLE. I AM UNABLE TO RECREATE THE ISSUES TO SHOW ANYONE ELSE. ALTHOUGH I FINALLY HAD A FAMILY MEMBER WITNESS THE CRANKING OF THE CAR ISSUE. AS IT HAPPENED AGAIN TODAY 03-28-19
