I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION P14/NHTSA 14V-154 I CONTACTED MY DEALERSHIP VIGO DODGE IN TERRE HAUTE, IN THEY TOLD ME THE PART WASN'T IN AND TO CALL BACK IN TWO WEEKS. I AM UNABLE TO GET THIS FIXED. *TR

  4. Service brakes, Aug 15, 2014

THERE HAS NOT BEEN AN ACCIDENT YET. THIS WAS THE ONLY PLACE I FOUND TO FILE A COMPLAINT REGARDING A RECALL. THIS IS NOT IN REGARDS TO A ACCIDENT BUT THE CONCERN OF THE RISK OF AN ACCIDENT RELATED TO THE RECALL OF THE BRAKE BOOSTER. THIS IS A SERIOUS RECALL THAT IS NOT BEING CORRECTED FAST ENOUGH AND IS BECOMING A GREAT SAFETY CONCERN. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF 400 OTHERS IN GETTING MY BRAKES REPAIRED. THE DANGER IF THE BRAKE BOOSTER FREEZES IT COULD CAUSE A CRASH NOT ONLY INFLICTING INJURY ON US BUT POSSIBLY OTHER PEOPLE. I DO NOT TAKE THIS LIGHTLY. WHY IS IT TAKING SO LONG TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM RESOLVED? I HAVE TALKED SEVERAL TIMES TO THE DEALER AND CALLED THEIR RECALL ASSISTANCE CENTER TO NO AVAIL. THE DEALER IS ONLY RECEIVING SMALL AMOUNTS OF THE SHIELD TO FIX THE CARS AND ARE CONTINUALLY WAITING FOR MORE TO COME. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. DOES FURTHER ACTION NEED TO TAKE PLACE REGARDING THIS RECALL. POSSIBLE LEGAL ACTION? I AM NOT COMFORTABLE WAITING UNTIL SOMEONE IS KILLED BEFORE AGGRESSIVE ACTION IS TAKEN. RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE P14/NHTSA14V-154 FROM CHRYSLER REGARDING THE BRAKE BOOSTER. ASKED FOR THIS TO BE ADDRESSED ON THE ABOVE SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT DATE OF 06/10/2014. I WAS TOLD BY THE SERVICE ASSISTANT SHE DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS IN, BUT THEY EXPECTED TO HAVE THE PARTS IN 2-4 WEEKS. SHE ASKED THAT I GIVE HER A CALL OR SEND HER AN EMAIL TO VERIFY THE PARTS WERE IN AND SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. I HAD AN APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED FOR 8AM ON FRIDAY, 07/12/14, AND WHEN I SHOWED UP I WAS TOLD THE DEALERSHIP COULD NOT HANDLE ANY OF THE SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS THEY HAD; THEY WERE ONLY ABLE TO SERVICE OIL CHANGES. SHE SAID THE ELECTRICITY HAD BEEN OUT THE DAY BEFORE, THEIR SYSTEMS WERE STILL HAVING TROUBLE, AND THEY COULD NOT HANDLE THE CUSTOMER LOAD. SHE SAID THEY HAD TO TAKE ALL THE CUSTOMERS' INFORMATION ON PAPER AND WOULD CALL EACH CUSTOMER BACK TO SCHEDULE A NEW APPOINTMENT. IT IS NOW 08/05/2014 AND I HAVE YET TO HEAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. *TR

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ehicle speed control, Engine, Jun 27, 2014

UPON PULLING OUT OF MY NEIGHBORHOOD FROM A FULL STOP, THE SUV WAS SLOW TO ACCELERATE. IT SEEMED "SLUGGISH", AS IF IT WAS NOT SWITCHING TO THE PROPER GEAR AND HAD TROUBLE SPEEDING UP. CAUSED AN ONCOMING CAR TO HAVE TO HIT THE BRAKES TO KEEP FROM HITTING ME, WHEN I SHOULD HAVE HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO PULL OUT, UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS. THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES. IT ALSO HAPPENS WHILE I'M DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND TRY TO SPEED UP. THIS IS AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO FERMAN DODGE TWICE NOW, AND THEY TELL ME THAT THEY "HOOKED IT UP TO THE COMPUTER AND COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH IT", AND WHEN THEY TEST-DROVE IT, THEY COULD NOT REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS ONLINE, I HAVE COME ACROSS OTHERS WHO HAVE ALSO EXPERIENCED THIS ISSUE. I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE NEW IN NOVEMBER 2013, AND IT DID NOT DO THIS WHEN I FIRST GOT IT. IT NOW HAS ONLY 3160 MILES ON IT. I DO NOT FEEL THAT IT IS SAFE TO DRIVE, CONSIDERING ITS UNPREDICTABILITY. *TR

I EXPLAINED TO THEM THAT NO WARNING LIGHTS APPEARED WHEN THIS HAPPENS. *TR

I HAVE A RECALL ON MY BRAKE BOOSTER AND THE DEALER IS SAYING THAT PARTS ARE COMING IN A LITTLE BIT AT A TIME. IT IS GOING TO BE ABOUT 2 MONTHS BEFORE IT CAN BE FIXED. IF THERE IS A RECALL, I FEEL AS THOUGH THE PARTS SHOULD BE SENT OUT IN ENOUGH QUANTITY FOR PEOPLE TO GET THEIR VEHICLES FIXED. I HAVE CONTACTED 2 DEALERS IN MY AREA AND GOT THE SAME RESPONSE. I THINK IT'S RIDICULOUS FOR A RECALL TO BE ISSUED, BUT THE PARTS NOT AVAILABLE TO GET IT FIXED. *TR

TODAY'S REPLACEMENT MADE ME INVESTIGATE MORE CLOSELY AND FOUND THAT THE BULB WAS OK BUT IT HAD TILTED SLIGHTLY. MANUALLY MOVING THE BULB CAUSED THE BULB TO FUNCTION AGAIN. IS THE SOCKET FAULTY? 24. Engine, Apr 24, 2014

ON APRIL 2013 WE PURCHASED A BRAND NEW 2013 DODGE DURANGO RS. TWO MONTHS LATER, IN JUNE, WE TOOK A TRIP, THE CAR OVERHEATED ON THE HIGHWAY. WITHIN A FEW MINUTES THE CAR SHUT DOWN- WE GOT IT TOWED TO THE CLOSEST SERVICE STATION. DODGE DETERMINED THE CAUSE OF OVERHEATING WAS DUE TO A BROKEN HEATER HOSE. ON MARCH 2014 WE TOOK ANOTHER TRIP, TWO HOURS INTO OUR TRIP IT OVERHEATED AGAIN, WE LET IT COOL DOWN AND DROVE IT TO THE NEAREST SERVICE STATION. THE CAR WAS SERVICED FOR TWO DAYS, DODGE DETERMINED THE CAUSE OF OVERHEATING WAS DUE TO THERMOSTAT AND SENSOR MALFUNCTION. A WEEK LATER- MARCH 22, WE TOOK IT BACK FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. DODGE DETERMINED THE CAUSE OF OVERHEATING WAS DUE TO AIR PRESSURE IN THE ENGINE. FOUR WEEKS LATER, APRIL 21, WE TOOK IT YET AGAIN FOR THE SAME PROBLEM, WHICH BRINGS ME TO TODAY. AS A RESULT OF THIS CONSTANT PROBLEM WE HAVE BEEN SPENDING A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF ENERGY, TIME AND MONEY (HOTELS, RENTALS, ECT). THIS ISSUE HAS RUINED MY VACATION, HAS CAUSED ME TO MISS WORK AND MEET DEADLINES. WHEN WE HAD OUR FIRST INCIDENT, I DECIDED TO CALL IT A FLUKE. I SAID, THIS CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE, I DECIDED TO FORGET IT AND MOVE ON. WHEN IT RUINED MY VACATION YET A SECOND TIME AND THE PROBLEM CONTINUED AFTER MULTIPLE SERVICES, WE CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THIS CAR WAS UNSAFE AND UNRELIABLE FOR ME AND MY FAMILY. I DON'T THINK IT'S FAIR THAT I KEEP THIS CAR AND RISK THE CHANCE OF THIS VEHICLE HAVING SOME INTERNAL DAMAGE THAT WILL AFFECT MY FAMILY IN THE FUTURE. I AM NOT LOOKING FOR A WAY OUT OF MY LOAN BUT SIMPLY WOULD LIKE FOR DODGE TO PUT ME IN A NEW VEHICLE. I CURRENTLY HAVE A CLAIM WITH DODGE AND I DON'T FEEL LIKE I BEEN GETTING THE ATTENTION I DESERVE. JUST GOT NEWS ON MY VEHICLE TODAY AND THEY WANT TO OPEN THE ENGINE AND CHANGE OUT THE HEADS. IF I CAN GET SOME HELP ON THIS MATTER I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATED.
