Recalls and investigations
Seat belts, frontApr 8, 2021
General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2014-2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 2015-2016 Chevrolet Tahoe, and 2014-2015 GMC Sierra 1500 vehicles that may have received an incorrect replacement tensioner cable assembly as part of a previous recall remedy or a subsequent repair. The flexible steel cable connecting the driver's seat belt to the outboard side of the seat may be repeatedly bent over the seat side shield as the driver enters and exits the vehicle causing the cable to fatigue and separate.
A broken pretensioner cable reduces the effectiveness of the driver's seat belt, increasing the risk of injury.
GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver seat belt lap pretensioner, free of charge. The recall began on May 5, 2021. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020, and GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is N212330040.

Service brakes, hydraulic, antilock/traction control/electronic limited slip, wheel speed sensor/tone ringOct 24, 2019
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2015-2020 Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, and GMC Yukon, and 2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 vehicles equipped with a 5.3-liter engine, a 3.08-ratio rear axle and four-wheel drive. If a wheel-speed sensor fails, while the vehicle is traveling between 41 and 60 mph in four-wheel or automatic mode, the Electronic-Brake Control Module (EBCM) software may activate the driveline-protection system.
Unintended activation of the driveline-protection system will cause unintended braking on the wheel on the opposite side of the failed sensor, causing the vehicle to pull to one side unexpectedly, increasing the risk of a crash.
GM will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the EBCM, free of charge. The recall began December 11, 2019. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-630-2438 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is N192261050.

Service brakes, hydraulic, power assist, vacuumSep 6, 2019
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2015-2017 Cadillac Escalade, 2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, 2015-2018 Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Yukon vehicles. The amount of vacuum created by the vacuum pump may decrease over time.
As the vacuum level drops, the brake assist decreases, increasing braking effort, extending the distance required to stop the vehicle, thereby increasing the risk of a crash.
GM will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the Electronic Brake Control Module, free of charge. The recall began October 8, 2019. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-630-2438, Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is N192268490.

EquipmentApr 26, 2018
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2009-2014 Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD, 2009 GMC Topkick 5000, 6000, 7000 and 8000 Series and Isuzu F Series, and 2009-2018 Chevrolet Express, and GMC Savana vehicles, equipped with certain Plastic-Handle Fire Extinguishers or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or requiring excessive force to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. For a full list of the affected fire extinguisher models visit: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17E062-5427.pdf
In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
GM will notify owners, instructing them to contact Kidde to get a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began June 11, 2018. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020, GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782, and Isuzu customer service at 1-866-441-9638. GM's number for this recall is 18146.

Air bags, frontalJul 10, 2017
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 Buick Lacrosse and Chevrolet Spark EV, Caprice PPV and SS vehicles, 2014-2017 Buick Encore and Chevrolet Corvette, Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 vehicles, 2015-2016 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Tahoe, Trax, Suburban and Silverado 2500 and 3500 and GMC Yukon and Yukon XL vehicles, and 2015-2017 GMC Sierra HD 2500 and 3500 vehicles. While being previously remedied for recall 16V-651, the affected vehicles may not have received the complete software update necessary to remedy the recall condition. Without the update, certain driving conditions may cause the air bag sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) software to activate a diagnostic test. During this test, deployment of the frontal air bags and the seat belt pretensioners would not occur in the event of a crash.
A failure of the front air bags or seat belt pretensioners to deploy in the event of a crash necessitating deployment increases the risk of injury to the driver and front passenger.
GM will notify owners, and dealers will reflash the SDM software. Vehicles that have had a previous air bag deployment will have the SDM replaced. These repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall began on August 4, 2017. Owners may contact Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300, Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020, or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. Steering, electric power assist systemJun 29, 2017
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 vehicles. The vehicles may have a temporary loss of electric power steering (EPS) assist, especially during low-speed turning maneuvers.
If EPS assist is lost and then returns, the driver might lose temporary control of the steering wheel, increasing the risk of a crash.
GM will notify owners, and dealers will update the EPS module software, free of charge. The recall began on August 10, 2017. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC customer service at 1-800-432-8782. GM's number for this recall is 17276.

In the affected vehicles, certain driving conditions may cause the air bag sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) software to activate a diagnostic test. During this test, deployment of the frontal air bags and the seat belt pretensioners would not occur in the event of a crash.
A failure of the front air bags or seat belt pretensioners to deploy in the event of a crash necessitating deployment increases the risk of injury to the driver and front passenger.

Seat beltsApr 12, 2016
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks manufactured January 29, 2013, to January 21, 2015. While entering the vehicle, the seat belt tensioner cable may be positioned such that the driver slides over it. This movement may result in the fatigue and separation of the cable.
If the tensioner cable separates, the driver may not be properly restrained in the event of a crash, increasing their risk of injury.
GM will notify owners, and dealers will modify the vehicles to prevent the tensioner from being damaged. Any tensioner that has already been damaged will be replaced, free of charge. The recall began on August 11, 2016. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is 15822.

The overheated exhaust components may melt nearby plastic parts and may result in an engine fire.
General Motors will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the engine control module, free of charge. The recall began on January 16, 2014. Owners may contact Chevrolet at 1-800-222-1020 and GMC at 1-800-462-8782. General Motors' number for this recall is 14008.

I CURRENTLY OWN A 2014 GMC SIERRA 1500 WITH 55,000 MILES.ON MAY 15 2017 THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH NEEDING AN AC CONDENSER AT GREINER BUICK GMC BECAUSE THE VEHICLE HAD STOPPED BLOWING COLD AIR. WE WERE TOLD THE PART HAD TO BE ORDERED AND THEY WOULD CALL US WHEN IT ARRIVED TO BE INSTALLED. THAT FOLLOWING DAY WE RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM THE PARTS DEPARTMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP STATING THAT THE AC CONDENSER IS UNAVAILABLE AND THEY DID NOT HAVE AN ETA BECAUSE THE PART WAS BACKORDERED. ABOUT A WEEK HAD PAST, AND BEING FRUSTRATED WITH HAVING NO AC , LIVING IN 110 DEGREE WEATHER AND DRIVING THIS VEHICLE WITH A 2 MONTH OLD AND 4 YEAR OLD CHILD, I WAS DESPERATE TO HAVE IT FIXED. I CONTACTED GENERAL MOTORS DIRECTLY TO SEE WHAT THE ISSUE WAS WITH THE PART AND SEE IF THEY COULD HELP ME. AFTER SPEAKING TO THE REPRESENTATIVE, I GOT NO ANSWERS BESIDES THEY ARE "WORKING ON IT." SHE TOLD ME THIS WAS A NATIONWIDE PROBLEM AND THEY ARE TRYING TO GET THE PART AVAILABLE FROM THE MANUFACTURER. I TOLD HER MY SITUATION AND THE SAFETY ISSUE WITH NO AC AND THE CLIMATE I LIVE IN AND SHE TOLD ME THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING OR EXPEDITE GETTING THE PART. MY HUSBAND AND I LOOKED INTO GETTING AN AFTERMARKET CONDENSER AND THOSE TOO ARE UNAVAILABLE. WE DID RESEARCH AND THERE ARE TONS OR COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE AC CONDENSER BREAKING IN THE GMC SIERRAS AND CHEVY SILVERADO MODELS AND GM HAS DONE NOTHING ABOUT RECALLING IT. THIS PART RARELY FAILS IN A VEHICLE, UNLESS IT IS DAMAGED. IT IS CLEAR THAT THIS PART IS DEFECTIVE, AND IS UNAVAILABLE EVEN TO BE REPLACED. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN AND GM NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS. STILL, 2 MONTHS LATER OUR VEHICLE STILL HAS NO AC AND GM HAS DONE NOTHING TO HELP US.

AIR CONDITIONER FAILS BECAUSE OF FAULTY CONDENSER, THIS IS A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM SINCE A REPLACEMENT PART IS NOT AVAILABLE WORLDWIDE BECAUSE OF THE DEMAND. THE DEALERSHIPS ARE SENDING VEHICLES TO 3RD PARTIES TO HAVE THE CONDENSER REPAIRED. THIS REPAIR IS NOT COVERED BY ANY WARRANTY.
Other or unspecified, Jul 12, 2017
AIR CONDITIONER NOT WORKING. AC CONDENSER HAS DEVELOPED A LEAK. IN DOING RESEARCH I DISCOVERED THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR GM VEHICLES OF THE MODEL AND THE LIKE, BUT GM HAS ALSO PULLED ALL CONDENSERS FROM THE SHELVES BUT WILL NOT DO A RECALL TO ADDRESS THE DEFECTIVE CONDENSER.

WHEN DRIVING AT HIGHER SPEEDS (50+ MPH - TYPICALLY ON THE HIGHWAY) THE ENTIRE TRUCK SHAKES: THE CONSOLE, STEERING WHEEL, ETC. YOU CAN FEEL IT IN THE SEATS AND THE FLOOR BOARDS. IT FEELS AS THOUGH THE TRUCK IS GOING TO GO OUT OF CONTROL OR BREAK DOWN AT ANY MOMENT. OVER THE PAST TWO YEARS, WE HAVE HAD OUR ENTIRE TRUCK SUSPENSION, ALIGNMENT, BRAKES/ROTORS, ETC INSPECTED NUMEROUS TIMES AND WERE TOLD MORE THAN ONCE BY GM TECHNICIANS THAT THIS VEHICLE PERFORMS UNDER ACCEPTABLE CONDITIONS ACCORDING TO GENERAL MOTORS, EVEN THOUGH THEY AGREE THAT IT DOES NOT FEEL ACCEPTABLE. MY LAST INSPECTION WAS TODAY AND I WAS TOLD THE SAME THING.

AIR CONDITIONER STARTED BLOWING HOT AIR IN NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2016 AT OR AROUND 50K MILES. IN JUNE 2017, PAID A GMC DEALERSHIP TO DIAGNOSE THE VEHICLE. RESULTS SHOW A CONDENSER LEAK.. CONTACTED GM CUSTOMER CARE DEPT. (SPOKE TO BETH). BETH CONFIRMED THE DIAGNOSIS, INFORMED ME OF THE BACKORDER, THEN INFORMED ME THAT GM WOULD NOT PROVIDE COST ASSISTANCE FOR THE REPAIRS.
Other or unspecified, Jul 5, 2017
45,000 MILES. AIR CONDITIONER STARTS BLOWING WARM AIR ABOUT A MONTH AGO. THE FOLLOWING WEEK, TAKE THE PICKUP TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO DIAGNOSE THE FOLLOWING. CONDENSER IS LEAKING. INFORMED THAT THE PART IS ON A NATIONAL BACKORDER AND THEY WILL CALL ME WHEN IT COMES IN. THREE WEEKS AND COUNTING SO FAR. I LIVE IN THE SOUTHWEST SO THE TEMPERATURES HAVE BEEN VERY HOT LATELY AS THIS IS THE HOTTEST PART OF THE YEAR.
Other or unspecified, Jul 3, 2017
A/C CONDENSER FAILURE. REPAIR PART IS ON NATIONAL BACKORDER. ESTIMATED ARRIVAL TIME IS 10-12 WEEKS. TEXAS SUMMERS CREATE A VERY HOT VEHICLE. CHILDREN IN CAR SEATS WITHOUT AIR CONDITIONING IS DANGEROUS WHEN SITTING IN BUMPER TO BUMPER TRAFFIC. RAINFALL REQUIRES EITHER THE WINDOWS GET ROLLED UP OR CHILDREN GET PELTED WITH RAIN DROPS ON THE HIGHWAY. NEITHER ARE ACCEPTABLE.
Other or unspecified, Jun 29, 2017
A/C CONDENSER WENT. GM HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL. THERE IS A NATIONAL BACK ORDER ON THE RE-DESIGNED CONDENSER. PEOPLE ARE BEING FORCED TO WAIT MONTHS AND ARE GOING WITHOUT A/C. GM CLAIMS THAT THEY ARE AWARE AND ARE WORKING WITH TWO MANUFACTURERS TO GET THE NEW PART MADE AND SHIPPED TO DEALERS. PLEASE SEE DOCUMENTATION OF CHAT SESSION WITH GM REP.
Other or unspecified, Jun 7, 2017
A/C CONDENSER ISSUES ACROSS MANY DIFFERENT VEHICLES HAVE CAUSED THE PART TO BE ON BACK ORDER IN SOME CASES FOR MONTHS. TO ME THIS SOUNDS LIKE A DEFECTIVE PART THAT WARRANTS A RECALL. A CAN OF REFRIGERANT CAN LEAK OUT, FOR ME, IN THE MATTER OF JUST A FEW WEEKS AND I TOOK IT IN AND WAS INFORMED OF THE CONDENSER LEAK. THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING THING THAT MANY OTHERS HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT. I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS DOES NOT QUALIFY AS A SAFETY ISSUE BUT OTHERS HAVE STATED THIS IS THE PROCESS TO CONDUCT A RECALL INVESTIGATION IF WARRANTED.

MAJOR PROBLEM WITH MY AIR CONDENSER THAT IS DEFECTIVE... DOES NOT WORK. THERE IS A NATION WIDE BACK ORDER FOR THIS ITEM FOR ALL GMC SIERRA'S AND NOTHING IS BEING DONE TO SERVICE THE CUSTOMERS. IT'S BEEN 3 WEEKS AND COUNTING NOW AND STILL NO ANSWERS. AIR CONDENSER PROBLEM... MY AC UNIT IS NOT OPERATING.

OCTOBER 2016 A/C STOPPED WORKING BROUGHT TO DEALER. DEALER RECHARGED SYSTEM FOUND LEAK TO BE A/C COMPRESSOR HOSE AND BRACKET NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND NOT UNDER WARRANTY CUSTOMER PAY. APRIL 2017 A/C STOPPED WORKING BROUGHT TO DEALER. DEALER RECHARGED SYSTEM FOUND LEAK TO BE A/C CONDENSER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED NOT UNDER WARRANTY - CUSTOMER PAY. NO CONDENSERS AVAILABLE - NATIONAL BACK ORDER. 50,000 MILES

AC IS BLOWING HOT AIR. DEALERSHIP CONFIRMED THE CONDENSER WAS LEAKING AND REQUIRED REPLACEMENT. DEALERSHIP HAS ORDERED NEW PART AND ADVISED THAT PART IS ON A NATIONAL BACK ORDER AND COULD NOT PROVIDED AN ESTIMATED TIME OF ARRIVE FOR REPLACEMENT PART.
Other or unspecified, Apr 4, 2017
THERE IS A LEAK IN MY AIR CONDITIONING CONDENSER. WHEN BROUGHT IN FOR SERVICE I WAS TOLD THERE IS A NATION-WIDE BACKORDER ON THE CONDENSERS. I THEN HAD TO BRING IN MY TRUCK FOR A IGNITION COIL FAILURE AND WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THEY HAVE BEEN SEEING A HIGH NUMBER OF LEAKING CONDENSERS AND CANNOT GET PARTS. WHILE NOT A SAFETY ISSUE THIS IS AN EXTREMELY COSTLY FIX ON A FAIRLY NEW VEHICLE AND SEEMS AS THOUGH THERE IS A HIGH OCCURRENCE OF FAILURES AND THIS NEEDS TO BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE PUBLIC AND GMC.

I AM WRITING TO INFORM THAT MY SIERRA HAS WHAT IS KNOW AS THE"CHEVY SHAKE" IN WHICH IT VIBRATES IN SPEEDS RANGING FROM 65 TO 80. PLEASE HELP WITH THIS ISSUE, AS IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THIS VIBRATION FATIGUES A STRUCTURAL COMPONENT. THANKS.
Structure, Other or unspecified, Jan 16, 2017
MY VEHICLE HAS SIDE BOARD STEPS. THE TREAD PATTERN IS SUCH THAT WHEN WET OR ICY THE STEP IS A VIRTUAL SKID PAD. WHEN YOU PLACE WEIGHT ON THE FOOT ON THE TREAD IT IMMEDIATELY SLIPS OUT FROM UNDER YOUR POSITION. LAST YEAR I BROKE A FOOT WHEN I SLIPPED AND THIS YEAR IT WAS AN ANKLE. TREAD DESIGN NEEDS TO BE IMPROVED AND TURNED 90. AS DESIGNED THERE IS NO TRACTION PROTECTION. JUST THE OPPOSITE, IT PROMOTES LACK OF TRACTION RESULTING IN SLIPPING AND FALLING.
Other or unspecified, Visibility/wiper, Feb 25, 2016
THE HEADLIGHTS ON THE TRUCK ARE NOT AS BRIGHT OR AS EFFECTIVE AS THEY SHOULD BE WHEN TRAVELING IN THE DARK. I AM FORCED TO USE THE HIGH BEAM FAR MORE THAN I WOULD NORMALLY DO IN MY CAR. EVEN WITH THE UPGRADE, THE LIGHT IS STILL WEAK. EVEN TO THE POINT THAT I DECIDED TO BUY AFTER MARKET LEDS TO REPLACE THEM. THE 2016 HAD A COMPLETE REDESIGN OF THE HEADLIGHTS AND I WONDER WHY. AS FOR THE INFOTAMENT SYSTEM. IT IS WEAK TO SAY IT NICELY. THE FACT THAT MY 2014 MODEL CAN NOT GET THE SAME FEATURES THAT THEY INTRODUCED IN THE 2015 (SPEECH TO TEXT) AND 2016 (CAR PLAY) IS APPALLING. ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY SAY THE HARDWARE IS NOT THERE FOR THE TEXT TO SPEECH BUT THERE ARE 3RD VENDORS WHO CAN GIVE IT ON THE 2014 MODELS. AS FOR THE RUST PROOFING ON THIS TRUCK. IT WAS CHEAPLY DONE AND THE PROTECTIVE FILM IS WEARING OFF. I WOULD TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP BUT I DECIDED THIS SPRING I WILL HAVE IT PROFESSIONALLY FIXED WITH SOME RUST PROOF PAINT AND NOT THE CHEAP WAX THAT GM USED.
Other or unspecified, Nov 3, 2015
THE FACTORY SUPPLIED RUNNING BOARDS HAVE TREADS THAT FAIL TO PROVIDE ANY TRACTION FOR FEET WHILE ENTERING OR EXITING. THE TREADS NEED TO BE ROTATED 90 DEGREES AND MADE OF A SOFTER RUBBER WITH A DEEPER AND MORE AGGRESSIVE TREAD PATTERN. AS THEY EXIST THEY ARE VERY SLIPPERY ESPECIALLY WHEN WET OR FROZEN. GIVEN THE ADDED HEIGHT OF TRUCKS IT REQUIRES SOME USE OF THE RUNNING BOARDS TO ENTER/EXIT THE TRUCK. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE 68. AS DESIGNED AND MANUFACTURED THEY ARE ACTUALLY AN ACCELERANT IN SLIPPING FEET. I FEEL THEY ARE OF DEFECTIVE DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE AND COULD/SHOULD BE MADE SAFER. I FELL THREE TIMES IN THE PAST MONTHS WHILE EXITING MY SIERRA 1500.
Other or unspecified, Oct 5, 2015
NO ACCIDENT HAS OCCURRED YET AS A RESULT OF THE FOLLOWING DEFICIENCY. HEADLIGHTS ON MY 2014 GMC SIERRA 1500 SLT ARE TOTALLY INADEQUATE ON HIGH OR LOW BEAM. THE LIGHTING DISTANCE IS INADEQUATE AND IS SO DIRECTIONAL THAT THERE IS NO SIDE FLAIR LIGHTING FOR TURNING LIKE YOU HAVE WITH CONVENTIONAL HEADLIGHTS. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY BY THE NHTSA. I HAVE HAD THIS VEHICLE FOR 1 1/2 YEARS AND THE PROBLEM IS ONGOING SINCE I BOUGHT IT. THE DEALER HAS NO SOLUTION.
Power train, Wheels, Other or unspecified, Sep 17, 2015
VEHICLE HAS SHUDDER, WOBBLE AND VIBRATION WHEN BEING DRIVEN AT SPEEDS 40-80. GMC HAS DIAGNOSED AS A TIRE ISSUE BUT VEHICLE HAS BEEN SEEN 14+ TIMES AND TIRES HAVE ALL BEEN ROAD FORCE BALANCED, NUMEROUS TIMES. GMC REFUSES TO DIAGNOSE FURTHER AND HAS NOT IDENTIFIED THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. VIBRATION HAS AFFECTED OTHER COMPONENTS. COMMONLY REPORTED PROBLEM AFFECTING 2014 GMC SIERRA TRUCKS BASED ON INTERNET SEARCH.
Other or unspecified, Equipment adaptive/mobility, Aug 17, 2015
THE BACKSEAT HEADRESTS DO NOT REMAIN IN THE UPRIGHT POSITION. THEY SLIDE DOWN WITH THE SLIGHTEST CONTACT FROM THE PERSON'S HEAD. THE MAINTENANCE/SERVICE PERSON AT THE DEALERSHIP INDICATED THAT THERE HAS BEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS FROM OWNERS. HE INDICATED THAT AT THIS TIME IT IS A "NO FIX" PROBLEM. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND DOES NOT MEET THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC BOARDS REGULATIONS ON HEADREST EQUIPMENT. THIS IS A REAL SAFETY CONCERN. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT INDICATED THAT A LATCH NEEDS TO BE INSTALLED TO HOLD THE HEADREST IN PLACE. IF THIS IS NOT CORRECTED, PEOPLE WILL AT SOME POINT IN TIME SUSTAIN SERIOUS INJURY. I FEEL LIKE CONTACTING 60 MINUTES WITH THE PROBLEM AND YOUR RESPONSE.

TRUCK VIBRATED NEW WITH 8 MILES WHEN WE FIRST DROVE IT HOME. PINPOINTED SPECIFIC SPEEDS AND RETURNED 9+ TIMES TO DEALERSHIP OVER 7 MONTHS. TIRES (TWICE), SHOCKS AND REAR END WERE ALL REPLACED BUT DID NOT STOP VIBRATION. 5 MONTHS FROM PURCHASE WE WERE FOLLOWED BY A NEIGHBOR AND THEY SAW MY TRUCK "DOG TRACKING" (TRAVELING SIDEWAYS DOWN THE ROAD). DEALER NOTED BUT WOULD NOT FOLLOW AT DISTANCE AND SPEED REQUIRED TO WITNESS THE "DOG TRACKING". DEALER TOLD ME THEY WERE CLUELESS AND COME GET THE TRUCK. LOCAL AUTO REPAIR SHOP FOLLOWED ME AND SAID THERE IS DEFINITELY A PROBLEM. FRONT CENTER OF WHEEL TO BACK CENTER OF WHEEL MEASURES 1/2 INCH LESS ON DRIVER SIDE THAN PASSENGER SIDE BUT DEALER SAYS THAT IS NOT A GOOD MEASUREMENT BECAUSE THEIR COMPUTER SAYS EVERYTHING IS FINE. THIS TRUCK VIBRATES AND "DOG TRACKS" AND DEALERSHIP REFUSES TO MAKE PROPER OFFER AND HAS GIVEN UP ON REPAIR ATTEMPTS. I AM PRESENTLY SEEKING HELP FROM A DIFFERENT DEALER.
