  2. Other or unspecified, Mar 9, 2023

I was driving and I was at a stop light then went sounded like my car was in neutral but it wasn't.. sounds like a bad transmission, I'm not 100% sure. Started a clanking sound. Went to park and turned off the vehicle then started it up didn't make a sound until I put it in reverse then it wouldn't reverse.

  3. Other or unspecified, Jan 18, 2023

THE TPMS LIGHT STAYS ON, EVEN AFTER TIRES ARE FILLED WITH THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF AIR AND THEN TIRES REPLACED . ALSO ON THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR PANEL THE LEATHER IS BLISTERING , CAR IS GARAGE KEPT . I AM NOT SURE THE EXACT DATE I NOTICED THIS , IM GIVING AN ESTIMATION.

  4. Other or unspecified, Jan 13, 2023

Was driving and took a left hand turn and transaxle broke in half. Could not move after that. Was no warning and it looks like that transaxle was rusting and broke.

  5. Power train, Aug 29, 2022

Both the passenger and driver side CV axles have a rubber vibration isolator mounted in the center of each drive axle. The rubber is cracking and showing rust heave underneath, The attachment method has deteriorated and the rubber damper is trapping moisture and salt that have seeped underneath. This has caused significant corrosion to the steel axle thereby weakening the axle and creating a safety hazard due to potential breakage. Neither axle has broken yet, but there are currently recalls on other model year Honda Accords for the same issue.

  6. Air bags, Aug 26, 2022

Air bag light on, air bag recall not shown

  7. Engine, Aug 16, 2022

CVT actuator makes noise on cold start up.

  8. Tires, Jul 28, 2022

The contact owns a 2011 Honda Accord equipped with Bridgestone Tires, Tire Line: Ecopia EP422 Plus, Tire Size: 235/45/R18, DOT Number: BANOO3767. The contact stated that the tire dealer had previously replaced the driver's and passenger's side front tires due to bubbles along the sidewall. The dealer was made aware of the failure; however, the passenger's side front tire was not replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 77,000.

  9. Seats, Jan 29, 2022

No accident occurred!, seats are extremely uncomfortable and is causing me back pains when sitting for long periods of time, I can imagine in a collision these seats would be very unsafe to a persons body, they’re so stiff if would be like getting pressed against a wall if hit hard enough, it’s time Honda FIXES this problem!

  10. Electrical system, Jan 5, 2022

The calendar reset to January of 2002 instead of 2022 and the clock is an hour ahead now. I went online and many people are having the same issue with the navigation version such as mine.

  11. Steering, Oct 5, 2021

I have a 2011 Honda Accord with 70,000 miles and the power steering rack went bad and is leaking fluid. It is unsafe to drive without power steering. There was no warning when it failed.

  12. Power train, Engine, Aug 21, 2021

The engine on the Honda Accord car shudders and loses power when there is a change in gears. Based on my research and after consultation with my mechanic, the Honda Odyssey had similar problems. The problem was traced to the torque converter. Supposedly Honda had to implement a software fix for the torque converter on those Odyssey's.

  13. Air bags, Aug 3, 2021, crash

The contact owned a 2011 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at 40 - 45 mph, a Ford pick-up truck traveling about 50 mph crashed into the her vehicle's front driver side corner then hit her rear driver side. The failure mileage was approximately 78,000.

  14. Power train, Jun 25, 2021

This issue is related to Honda TSB issued for faulty VTC actuator . My car makes a loud grinding sound when started from cold everyday. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2016/SB-10087883-2280.pdf I sent a email to Honda support on June 8th 2021, asking if this issue will cause catastrophic engine failure while driving (case id : 12274491) and can cause serious bodily injury? I never received a response. I sent a followup email on June 17th 2021 and still no response. My only worry is that this issue is so much widespread that all Accords manufactured between 2008 - 2012 are affected. Serious quality control issue. What if my car suddenly stops in the middle of a busy highway..what if Engine completely seized, break apart, due to damage happening over the period of time? I believe that Honda understand all these issues and not willing to respond over email, to avoid legal liability. With this complain i would like NHTSA to get a official statement from Honda on seriousness of this issue and if its a safety issue (if not fixed), it should fall under Recall.

  15. Power train, Jun 24, 2021

the drive shaft axle snapped when I made a left turn while driving.

No injuries were reported and no police report was taken. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The local dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 100,000. Invalid VIN.

  17. Steering, May 11, 2021, crash

I WAS PULLING SLOWLY OUT OF A DRIVE-THROUGH BANK FACILITY ONTO A ONE-WAY STREET WITH NO TRAFFIC, AND SUDDENLY MY CAR STARTED TO TURN TO THE SIDE. I HAD NO CONTROL OVER THE STEERING AND THE CAR PING-PONGED FROM CURB TO CURB, STRIKING SEVERAL STATIONARY OBJECTS AND A PARKED CAR.

  18. Engine, Mar 23, 2021

ENGINE RATTLES LOUDLY FOR ABOUT 4 SECONDS AT STARTUP WHILE STATIONARY. I BELIEVE THE VARIABLE VALVE TIMING CONTROL (VTC) ACTUATOR IS DEFECTIVE.

  19. Air bags, Feb 17, 2021

I HAVE RESPONDED TO HONDA'S RECALL NOTICES FOR AIRBAG REPAIRS ON THIS 2011 CAR SEVERAL TIMES AND TOLD THEM THAT THE CAR WAS LEASED IN 2011 AND RETURNED TO HONDA IN 2014. I AM CONCERNED THAT WHOEVER HONDA SOLD THIS CAR TO IS NOT RECEIVING RECALL NOTICES. ON THE LAST NOTICE THAT I RECEIVED, I WROTE ON THE INFORMATION CHANGE CARD PROVIDED THAT THE CAR WAS RETURNED AT JOYCE HONDA IN DENVILLE, NJ WHEN I LEASED A 2014 HONDA. I ALSO WROTE THAT I WOULD NOTIFY NHTSA OF HONDA'S INABILITY TO CORRECT THE RECALL NOTICE. I JUST RECEIVED ANOTHER NOTICE ON 2/15/2021. PLEASE LET HONDA KNOW WHAT THEY NEED TO DO TO REALLY COMPLY WITH THE LAW.

AFTER 2 YEARS OF OWNING MY NEW 2011 HONDA ACCORD, I NOTICED A GRINDING SOUND DURING COLD STARTS THAT LASTED 1-2 SECONDS AND THEN STOPS. I HAVE THE DEALERSHIP INSPECT THE PROBLEM BUT THEY QUICKLY DISMISSED AND SAID THE NOISE WAS BEING MADE BY THE VTC AND TO NOT WORRY ABOUT THE NOISE. IN ADDITION, THEY SAID THAT NO HARM WOULD BE CAUSED BY THE NOISE. NOW I HAVE OVER 100,000 MILES ON THE CAR AND THE NOISE IS ON EVERY COLD START NO MATTER WHAT THE TEMPERATURE AND LAST FOR 2-5 SECONDS. I RECENTLY CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY INDICATED THAT IF THE VTC WAS THE PROBLEM (WHICH IT HAS BEEN ALL ALONG), THEN I WOULD NEED TO PAY IN FULL FOR THE REPAIR SINCE IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY.
