Vehicle: 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Elite VIN: [XXX] Recall: Stellantis / Jeep Recall 01C (NHTSA 25V‑011) Dealer: Carson Dodge Chrysler Jeep, Carson City, Nevada Description: My 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Elite (VIN [XXX] ) is included in Stellantis Recall 01C. It has now been more than a year since the recall was issued, and Stellantis still has not provided a remedy for my vehicle. My servicing dealer, Carson Dodge Chrysler Jeep in Carson City, Nevada, reports that no parts are available for the recall and that Stellantis has not provided any timeline for when parts or the required software remedy will be released. This recall involves a safety‑related defect in the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) that can cause loss of drive power or loss of Park function. Despite the severity of the defect, Stellantis continues to delay both the software remedy and the availability of replacement PTU components. I am unable to obtain the required repair, and the manufacturer has not met the federal requirement to provide a timely remedy. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate Stellantis for an unreasonable delay in providing recall repairs for Recall 01C and require the manufacturer to supply the remedy without further delay. 2. Power train, Feb 2, 2026

Subject: Safety Recall 25V 011 – Remedy Delay Over One Year / Request for Immediate Action I am contacting you regarding Safety Recall 25V 011 affecting my 2019 Jeep Cherokee. I received the original recall notice over a year ago, and Stellantis has still not provided the required repair parts or an approved remedy. Federal law requires manufacturers to provide a free recall remedy within a reasonable time, and NHTSA generally considers 60 days to be the guideline for timely completion. A delay exceeding one year is not reasonable, especially for a defect that can cause loss of motive power, inability to shift, and potential roll away. I am requesting the following: 1.Written confirmation that the recall remedy and parts are still unavailable. 2.Escalation of my case to Stellantis for review due to the excessive delay. 3.A loaner vehicle or alternate transportation if my vehicle is considered unsafe to operate under the recall conditions. 4.Notification as soon as parts become available or if interim repairs or accommodations are authorized. Please document this request in your system and provide a written response. I am also filing a report with NHTSA regarding the extended lack of remedy. Thank you for your prompt attention. 3. Power train, Feb 2, 2026

See attached document for complaint. Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Unresolved Recall and Vehicle Held Since February 2025 To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this letter to formally report significant concerns regarding an unresolved safety recall affecting my Jeep Cherokee. My vehicle has now been held at an authorized dealership since February 2025 due to the lack of an available remedy. Since the original recall notice, I have contacted both the dealership and the Stellantis recall hotline multiple times. Each time, I am given a new projected month for the remedy to become available. In October I was told November, in November I was told December, and now in December I am being told January. This cycle continues with no definitive solution, effectively leaving me without access to my vehicle for nearly a year. I am also concerned about the extended period of inactivity and the resulting potential for component degradation, including leaky seals, warped rotors, electrical issues, and tire damage. The service department assured me this would not be a concern, but I disagree and believe the prolonged storage may create additional safety issues or repair needs. I am requesting NHTSA’s assistance in reviewing this matter, as the lack of remedy and extended vehicle hold time appears unreasonable and may represent a failure in recall execution. Thank you for your attention to this safety concern.

  9. Power train, Jan 28, 2026

The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer to be repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V011000 (Power Train). The dealer performed a transmission flush, which the contact stated could cause additional issues with the current recall that had not been repaired due to parts not being available. The contact reported an issue with the Warranty Group because the Warranty Group would not cover additional failures under warranty. The contact stated that the transmission failed to shift properly while driving. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 137,000.

  10. Power train, Jan 27, 2026

I have been having an intermittent 4WD SERVICE light come on, then after a while it stayed on. I brought the vehicle to my mechanic who diagnosed the issue as a failing Power Transfer Unit (PTU). He suggested I bring to the dealership for diagnosis as he saw recalls and service bulletins related to this issue, indeed I found "NHTSA Campaign 25V011000 (Reported April 2025): Involves the power transfer unit (PTU), which may damage and cause loss of drive power or park function. Consequence: Increased crash or injury risk from stall or rollaway. Remedy: Software updates and PTU replacement if needed (free); final remedy expected January 2026. Contact FCA at 1-800-853-1403 (recall #01C)" Even tho this issue is the same as reported in the recall, for some reason my VIN is not included in the recall. The car has been at the dealership awaiting repair since Monday, Jan 12 and I am told the part is on backorder and will not be available until Feb 16. So my car is out of commission for about 5-6 weeks due to this faulty part that is prevelant in these vehicles. I argued for some goodwill assistance and they did give me some relief, but I believe this should be included in the recall. Can you assist me with getting my vehicle included in the recall? The issue was first diagnosed by my mechanic in Nov 2024 at 53,998 miles then again in Jan 2026 at 64,896 miles. The dealer has had the car since Jan 12, 2026.

  11. Power train, Jan 27, 2026

The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V011000 (Power Train); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated while driving 20-25 MPH, the vehicle experienced reduced power and jerked significantly. The contact was able to drive to the nearby residence. The AWD warning light was illuminated. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the dealer for assistance. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, to be diagnosed, and the dealer determined that the PTU had failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer informed the contact there would be reimbursement for any vehicle rental expenses; however, the contact was unable to afford a rental, and the manufacturer had become unreachable. The failure mileage was approximately 51,000.

Failing PTU (power train unit) causing power loss and high risk of breakdown or crash

  13. Power train, Jan 25, 2026

Since December 2025 we have had a "Service 4WD" light on our dash. Recall 01C was announced on 01/26/25. I have contacted Jeep dealers and Chrysler customer service with help/resolution to this. That all tell me to wait for parts. It's been a year. When will this be addressed???

  14. Power train, Engine, Fuel/propulsion system, Jan 23, 2026

Well the engine definitely failed to provide power for me to drive my vehicle. And as I am doing more and more research on what the PTU does, which is what there is a recall on. It appears the PTU not working correctly on my vehicle affected the engine, and the ability for car to properly utilize oil, thus affecting the operation of the cylinders 1 and 4 on my vehicle. I am being told I need a new engine however, I believe the PTU problem directly affected my engine because everything that happens with the failure of the PTU is similar things that happen with the failure of my engine, thus the two really are related. And if the PTU "talks to" the engine for proper consumption and usage of oil then, my current engine replacement needs to be covered under the recall of the PTU and any other possible engine problems with other Jeep Cherokee engine recalls. I would like someone to contact me and have a discussion with me and/or an attorney as I am considering now hiring one because of the safety risk of continued problems especially putting in another engine and having the PTU affect the engine again. Also mechanics are saying there is no way that this engine failed unless there was something else wrong upon installation of the engine or something else affected the operation of the engine, as in the PTU.

  15. Power train, Engine, Jan 23, 2026

The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that on three occasions after refueling the vehicle and driving approximately two feet, the vehicle unexpectedly shutoff. The message to “Shift to Park” was displayed. The contact activated the hazard lights. The accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to respond as needed. The vehicle was eventually restarted. The contact associated the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V011000 (Power Train). The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 107,000.

  16. Power train, Vehicle speed control, Service brakes, Jan 22, 2026

There has been an open recall for over a year and no remedy has been found. I am having failure with my speed power and every dealership wants to charge me because there is no remedy for this recall. My vehicle is eventually going to give out if I don't get this fixed and unfortunately i don't have the money.

  17. Air bags, Jan 21, 2026, crash

Was in an accident due to hitting ice hit a guard rail going 60 mph on the highway totaled the vehicle but not one air bag deployed.

  18. Power train, Jan 21, 2026

I am reporting an open safety recall on my vehicle that has had no available remedy for over a year. My 2019 Jeep Cherokee is subject to Recall 01C, which warns of potential loss of power and loss of park function. Due to this defect, my vehicle’s 4-wheel drive system is currently inoperative. I live in Minnesota, where 4WD is necessary for safe winter driving. The loss of 4WD significantly affects the safe operation and intended use of the vehicle in snow and icy conditions. The recall notice has repeatedly stated that a remedy would be available by a certain date, but each time the date passes it is pushed back again. There has been no repair available despite the recall being open for more than a year. While I have not yet experienced a complete loss of power or park function, the recall states this is a possibility, and I am concerned about the safety risk this presents. The vehicle is currently being operated with a known safety defect that cannot be repaired. I am requesting that this issue be reviewed, as the prolonged lack of a remedy for a safety-related recall is creating an ongoing safety concern and hardship.

  19. Other or unspecified, Jan 20, 2026

PTU failure. Causing vehicle to roll when placed in park. Service 4WD indicator light. Many other 2019 Cherokee models are part of a major recall. This one should be included.

  20. Power train, Jan 19, 2026

The Power Transfer (PTU) unit exploded while driving on the highway, upon inspection from the Jeep dealership it was found with multiple cracks on the PTU housing and even described in the service report from the tech that the PTU exploded. The car experienced sudden loss of power and if other cars were around I could of been rear ended. This part has recalls on other Jeep Cherokee models (Safety Recall W47 / NHTSA 20V-343) but my particular VIN does not fall under this recall. They're were not any warning lights on or symptoms that pertained to a possible faliure of the PTU.

  21. Power train, Jan 18, 2026

Service 4WD light came on and stays on. Odometer flashes continuously. No 4 wheel drive functions operate. Dealer scanned for codes. Determined the transfer case control module was defective. Replacement did not fix the problem ($600.00). Then the fix was new tires because the front tires were worn more than the rear ($ 1000.00). That did not fix the problem either. Now we wait for the recall to materialize. The recall came out a year ago ( JAN 2025). Still no parts or fixes available for this problem.

  22. Power train, Electrical system, Fuel/propulsion system, Jan 17, 2026
