Chrysler Group, LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles manufactured January 8, 2013, through August 20, 2013. Due to a disruption of computer communications and loose alternator ground wires, the affected vehicles may experience random illumination of multiple instrument cluster warning lights, loss of cluster illumination and loss of anti-lock brake system (ABS) and electronic stability control (ESC) function. Fuel/propulsion system, Apr 1, 2024
The Z46 Manufacture Campaign has been open for an extended period of time. I have not been able to have my vehicle fixed because of a continued lack of parts at the dealership. I have had my vehicle in for service on multiple occasions and each time I am told "the parts are on back-order". I dropped my vehicle off this morning and again was told "the parts are on back-order".
Other or unspecified, Engine, Fuel/propulsion system, Mar 29, 2024
The problem with my vehicle is with emissions system which was covered under the Ecodiesel Extended Warranty lawsuit the EPA filed against the manufacturer Stellantis. My jeep has been down at Crystler Dodge Jeep Ram dealerships for 2 years. The extended warranty states they would repair problems, but they have not. I was told today that they will only give me 8741 for my car but they want to keep it. I’ve had to go to the hospital twice from the first dealership that had my car for a whole year giving me carbon monoxide poisoning. I’ve been paying full coverage insurance for 2 years. This manufacturer has placed and is placing me in a hardship. They said they would/ coukd repair my car and stayed in writing they would have certified techs working on my car, they had the parts manager working on my car and almost killed me. Now, their leadership is trying to bully me into selling them my car for this low ball amount. Why didn’t they offer to buyback before putting me through 2 years of hell. Is it Leah’s to breach a binding legal contract they agreed to honor. I am aware they are to suffer penalties for not honoring the warranty, and for not keeping databases updated by VIN. I was told my parts weren’t covered for months, I had to constantly show them the warranty said the parts were covered they trying to charge me for. I want my vehicle fixed under the extended warranty. I want compensation for this excessive time, and for them not honoring the consent decree they told the EPA and NHTSA they would honor. Please help me get my vehicle fixed under my extended warranty. My car is covered til 199,189 miles or May 13, 2024. I really need help, the manufacturer is not adhering to the consent decree they promised the government and NHTSA they would.

Driver sustained a headache from impact. Headrest will not reset. If system deployed while driving down the highway it could have resulted in traffic accident. Concern for the owner as subject has severe spinal issues and impact could result in fatal damage. There is no codes visible at this time.
Power train, Engine, Mar 23, 2024
While driving at about 50 mph, the transmission shifted into neutral and would not allow me to shift it back into drive while moving or stopped. This put me in a very dangerous situation as I was in traffic and in the left lane on a 4-lane road. After about 10 minutes of the engine being shut off, it started again and ran just fine. A check engine light did come on, giving error code P0205 and U0002-88 when scanned. I believe the latter code is a stored code from a previous issue. No warning lights were on immediately prior to the incident. This is the second time it has happened in the span of about 4 months. The mechanic was not able to diagnose the cause after the first occurrence. After the second occurrence, the local Jeep dealer was contacted; they were not aware of any such issues and recommended adding fuel injector cleaner and changing the spark plugs/getting a tune up. The dealer did not inspect the car. The next day the check engine light went off, though the code may be stored in the car’s memory.

Jeep customer care said my jeep was imported from Canada and is void of any and all parts warranty. So that's why dealership couldn't register my jeeps engine warranty. Sale person said the jeep was USA built spec but it's a Quebec Canadian build spec imported into USA. I got the original window sticker downloaded its French & metric. So no warranty. Fraudulent sale of a gray market import with no disclosure of the major issue they tried to repair while I waited for my jeep. I already purchased it $37k but was waiting on them to prep it for sale and deal with my trade in. Low mile 2013 dodge charger RT max AWD with every option and dealership maintained. The first time it happened, I was driving on the highway going 70 when all of a sudden the transmission jumped into neutral, which caused me to jump several lanes to get off the highway to avoid being hit by several cars. I was scared to death!! It has has happened several times after that..There are no warning lights that comes on, it just goes from drive to neutral on its own. I’ve taken it to a transmission shop and was told there was nothing wrong with the transmission but there is definitely a problem and a safety hazard for sure!! after looking online, there’s definitely an issue with the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokees, this is extremely dangerous.

Engine, Feb 24, 2024
The car down shifts while apply light pressure to the gas pedal mostly on an incline there is a slight clunk and the engine shuts off. This mostly happens at 70 MPH on the highway from 8th gear to 7th gear but has happened in lower gears as well. The power to the engine is cut. Everything else works no lights flash just no power to the motor. I have to pull over put the car in park and restart and the car drives normal again. This happens about once per month but I baby the car so it could occur more often if I push the engine more. A great example is if I am behind someone about 50 mph and coasting then I press on the gas pedal to pass them the car seems like it will gasp for fuel then clunk and the engine shuts off. This has been going on for several year now and no one has an answer. The dealership said once there were no codes, another time they said the oil pressure switch is bad. The car now has 172,000 miles on it however this has been happening when the car had under 140,000 miles on it.

Even though the recall "fix" didn't work, FCA said that the proper fix wasn't covered, because the vehicle isn't under warranty. My youngest son was away at college, using the vehicle to go to and from class. He was driving the Jeep home for summer break when suddenly, the wipers turned on and the dashboard warning lights lit up the dash like a Christmas tree. He did not know what to do, who would? Then the dashboard went completely black. He tried turning off the wipers and then suddenly the car shifted into park in the middle of traffic all on its own, with cars on both sides. He was fortunate that he was not rear-ended and severely injured. My son is a cautious driver, as he fears any accident that could end his athletic career. He pulled over and turned the jeep off and then on and things looked normal. No more flashing dash warning lights, so he continued down the road, hazard lights on, paying close attention to vehicles around him. The dashboard warning lights were flashing repeatedly, vehicle auto shifting itself, dash going completely black and vehicle stalling in moving traffic...this happened several times on his way home. What my son experienced on the road, has happened to me several times since. It is a very frightening and dangerous experience. I believe I have been grossly misled by Chrysler Jeep Sales and continue to be misled about the soundness of my vehicle and the after reporting to the AutoNation (Chrysler Jeep) Service Department, the dangerous situation my family was in by driving my Jeep, I feel I was not dealt with fairly. Is this how they treat all customers or is it because I am Latina and a woman? With a vehicle with so many recalls, so many complaints and so many investigations by the NHTSA, it is a wonder why it is still on the road. Those who know would say, because no one has died, yet. Should that be the accepted answer or response? Should someone have to lose their life before this vehicle is taken off the road? Please see my attached document. I urge you to do a thorough investigation of these serious safety issues. (CPU, modules have been ongoing issues

While traveling down the highway with my gastank 3/4 full my car suddenly lost all power. Thankfully the large truck behind me and the car beside me were alert and they let me glide into the breakdown lane, where I was able to put the car into park and restart it. After doing a search I have noticed 2014 jeeps have been recalled for this issue, although when I entered my VIN a recall didn't come up.
Fuel/propulsion system, Jan 22, 2024
Z46/NHTSA 22V-406. high pressure fuel pump. I received multiple recall notices for this defect. I received the first notice in JUNE of 2022. Today it is Jan 2024, 19 months after being notified to have repairs made. The JEEP dealer has, for 19 months, told me they cannot a make the repair. The recall notice states "fuel starvation may result in an unexpected loss of motive power, which can cause a vehicle to crash without prior warning". I believe 19 months exceeds the requirement to "remedy the defect within a reasonable time" Is there anything being done to motivate JEEP to remedy the defect? Thank you for your time.

The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

The dashboard has bubbles and is delaminating from the dash. This problem exists in many of the jeeps and a secret service bulletin was issue for only a 6 month period back in December 2019 to June of 2020. Jeep owners were not contacted about this and a recall should be declared for this defective part.

Brought car to Daytona Chrysler/jeep dealer for recalls and after a few days car was not done for the 2 recalls. They wanted me to pay more than $ 4k dollars for some repair they want which has nothing to do with the recall.
Electrical system, Vehicle speed control, Jan 7, 2024, crash
Our car was stopped and then engine started intermittently lunging forward for no reason. Rear ended the car in front of us and had to use the emergency brake to stop the car. Jeep Corp sent an independent inspector to check the car but only shared the car was drivable and didn't say there was a problem. They wouldn't share the computer findings with us or the dealer, only that is was drivable. They also wouldn't allow the dealer to see the computer while it was being tested. The car is currently parked and we bought another car. Waiting for Jeep to cover replacing parts or do something to the Jeep before it has another accident.
