Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2014-2018 Dodge Journey, Charger and Durango, RAM 2500, 3500, 3500 Cab Chassis (more than 10,000lb), 4500 Cab Chassis and 5500 Cab Chassis, Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee and Chrysler 300, 2014-2019 RAM 1500, 2015-2018 Dodge Challenger, 2015-2017 Chrysler 200, 2016-2018 RAM 3500 Cab Chassis (less than 10,000 lb), 2017-2018 Chrysler Pacifica and 2018 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. These vehicles are being recalled to address a defect that could prevent the cruise control system from disengaging. If, when using cruise control, there is a short circuit within the vehicle's wiring, the driver may not be able to shut off the cruise control either by depressing the brake pedal or manually turning the system off once it has been engaged, resulting in either the vehicle maintaining its current speed or possibly accelerating.
If the vehicle maintains its speed or accelerates despite attempts to deactivate the cruise control, there would be an increased risk of a crash.

Power train, automatic transmission, lever and linkage, column shiftDec 20, 2017
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2016-2017 Ram 3500 Cab Chassis with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of less than 10,000 lbs, 2011-2017 Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 Cab Chassis vehicles, 2009-2017 Ram 1500 and 2010-2017 Ram 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks, all equipped with a column shifter. Pushing the brake pedal for prolonged periods when the vehicle is running and in PARK may cause the Brake Transmission Shift Interlock (BTSI) pin to stick in the open position. With the pin in the open position, the transmission can be shifted out of PARK into any gear without pushing the brake pedal or having the key in the ignition.
Being able to shift the transmission without pushing the brake pedal and/or without a key in the ignition can increase the risk of an unintended vehicle rollaway that may result in personal injury or a crash.
Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will update the vehicle software, inspect the BTSI, and, as necessary, replace it, free of charge. The recall began February 26, 2018. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is T79.

Certain driving conditions, such as driving off-road or debris striking the vehicle may cause the roll rate sensor to trigger a fault within the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC). If this fault occurs, the rollover side curtain air bag and the seat belt pretensioner will be disabled from deploying.
If the rollover side curtain air bags and seat belt pretensioners are disabled, there is an increased risk of injury to the vehicle occupants in the event of a crash that necessitates activation of these safety systems.
Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will update the ORC software, free of charge. The recall began June 26, 2017. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is T25.

If the seat cover impedes the air bag deployment, the seat thorax air bags may not provide adequate protection in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of a injury.
Chrysler will notify owners to remove the front seat covers and return them for a full refund. The recall began on July 1, 2016. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is S30.

Without a heat shield, heat from the exhaust system may damage the spare tire. When used, the damaged tire may have a tread separation or side wall rupture, resulting in a loss of control and an increased risk of a crash.
Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will install a spare tire heat shield if the vehicle is missing one. Vehicles that have already been sold with an excess of 50 miles will also have their spare tires replaced. These repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall began on December 2, 2015. Lack of action on an existing NHTSA recall. FCAUS has failed to act on NHTSA recall 22V-406 for the high pressure fuel pump. Today I contacted the local Ram dealership service department and was told that they do not have a waitlist to fix the issue, or any idea when repair parts will become available. This is 566 days after the recall was announced in June 2022. The inaction of FCAUS/Stellantis is a danger to the livelihood and safety of owners of affected vehicles and the safety of drivers that share the roads with owners of affected vehicles.

Good afternoon, I have filed multiple complaints regarding recall 22V-406 (11501200, 113003170). It has been over 1.5 years since the recall was issued and there is still not resolution. The NHTSA site mentions if there isn't a fix within a reasonable time, then to contact you again. 1.5 years does not seem reasonable when it comes to a safety hazard. The last update I received from NHTSA was letters will be mailed 12/14/23 and wanted to confirm this timing hasn't slipped. My 2016 RAM 1500 has been experiencing intermittent electric power steering. system failures, causing vehicle control failure when I try to turn left or right. When I disconnect the car battery, the electric power steering system temporarily works again, but then shows the same symptoms again. I haven't had any accidents with the vehicle, but I've been avoiding taking long trips due to the insecurity of the malfunction of the electric power steering.
Electrical system, Wheels, Service brakes, Dec 4, 2023, crash
The vehicle has a faulty ABS module, which has resulted in my truck losing traction on dry roads and wet roads, however the “wet” roads are a result of a minimal sprinkle. The vehicle is beyond a vital component of my ability to make a living, i work in construction and have to be able to safely move equipment and supplies to sites; as of right now I am unable to drive the vehicle. The faulty ABS module caused my brakes to lock while pulling out of a park space with a slight incline in my place of employment, resulting in the sliding backwards towards a company vehicle and to avoid hitting it I moved the steering wheel to collide with a brick wall. The brakes and rotors were replaced a few months earlier this year as well as the truck being serviced regularly, however, the truck has continued to have parts fail throughout this year. From the starter to the fuel injection system, pump, gaskets between the engine and fuel intake, and now the vehicle is literally completely unsafe to drive and operate on the road! The traction control regulator is apart of the ABS system control module! I have looked everywhere (Firestone, DARCARS, Ect.) to find a replacement part and have been told that there are none available until sometime in March of 2024! There are no other options for me to reach out to. The vehicle can be inspected if requested, the issue appeared 3-4 weeks ago before being brought into the firestone shop before being serviced for faulty gaskets and fuel injection issues. The vehicle is under 100,000 miles, and I purchased it with just over 43,000 miles. I am in the process of contacting my insurance company and collecting the various service charges from different repair shops resulting in the inability to get the part.

Fuel/propulsion system, Nov 27, 2023
My truck lost power and the engine shut off in the middle of an intersection. I had it towed to my local Ram dealer in June of 2023. It is now November 27th of 2023 and the vehicle cannot be fixed because of the Z46 recall has no parts. I have been in contact with my dealer and they gave me a quote of $13000 to replace the fuel pump with no guarantee I could get reimbursed for these repairs. The recall was scheduled to be out by August of 2023 and was pushed back to January of 2024. That will be 6 months of paying for a vehicle I cannot drive because Ram won't issue a fix for this. The dealer did verify that the fuel pump is the problem.
