Recalls and investigations

  1. Seat belts, frontApr 8, 2021

General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2014-2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 2015-2016 Chevrolet Tahoe, and 2014-2015 GMC Sierra 1500 vehicles that may have received an incorrect replacement tensioner cable assembly as part of a previous recall remedy or a subsequent repair. The flexible steel cable connecting the driver's seat belt to the outboard side of the seat may be repeatedly bent over the seat side shield as the driver enters and exits the vehicle causing the cable to fatigue and separate.

A broken pretensioner cable reduces the effectiveness of the driver's seat belt, increasing the risk of injury.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver seat belt lap pretensioner, free of charge. The recall began on May 5, 2021. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020, and GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is N212330040.

  2. Service brakes, hydraulic, antilock/traction control/electronic limited slip, wheel speed sensor/tone ringOct 24, 2019

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2015-2020 Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, and GMC Yukon, and 2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 vehicles equipped with a 5.3-liter engine, a 3.08-ratio rear axle and four-wheel drive. If a wheel-speed sensor fails, while the vehicle is traveling between 41 and 60 mph in four-wheel or automatic mode, the Electronic-Brake Control Module (EBCM) software may activate the driveline-protection system.

Unintended activation of the driveline-protection system will cause unintended braking on the wheel on the opposite side of the failed sensor, causing the vehicle to pull to one side unexpectedly, increasing the risk of a crash.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the EBCM, free of charge. The recall began December 11, 2019. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-630-2438 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is N192261050.

  3. Service brakes, hydraulic, power assist, vacuumSep 6, 2019

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2015-2017 Cadillac Escalade, 2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, 2015-2018 Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Yukon vehicles. The amount of vacuum created by the vacuum pump may decrease over time.

As the vacuum level drops, the brake assist decreases, increasing braking effort, extending the distance required to stop the vehicle, thereby increasing the risk of a crash.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the Electronic Brake Control Module, free of charge. The recall began October 8, 2019. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-630-2438, Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is N192268490.

  4. Steering, electric power assist systemSep 7, 2018

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Tahoe and Suburban, GMC Sierra 1500 and Yukon, and Cadillac Escalade vehicles. Electric power steering (EPS) assist may be lost momentarily, followed by a sudden return of EPS assist.

If EPS assist is lost and then suddenly returns, the driver may have difficulty steering the vehicle, especially at low speeds, increasing the risk of a crash.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will update the EPS module software, free of charge. The recall began October 12, 2018. Owners may contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 and GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is 18289.

  5. Seat belts, frontMay 3, 2018

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2015-2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and Tahoe Police Pursuit and Special-Service vehicles. The flexible steel cable connecting the driver's seat belt to the outboard side of the seat may be repeatedly bent over the seat side shield as the driver enters and exits the vehicle causing the cable to fatigue and separate.

If the pretensioner cable becomes fatigued or breaks, the driver may not be properly restrained in the event of a crash, increasing their risk of injury.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the pretensioner cable and seat side-shield, free of charge. The recall began June 19, 2018. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is 18156.

  6. Air bags, frontalJul 10, 2017

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 Buick Lacrosse and Chevrolet Spark EV, Caprice PPV and SS vehicles, 2014-2017 Buick Encore and Chevrolet Corvette, Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 vehicles, 2015-2016 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Tahoe, Trax, Suburban and Silverado 2500 and 3500 and GMC Yukon and Yukon XL vehicles, and 2015-2017 GMC Sierra HD 2500 and 3500 vehicles. While being previously remedied for recall 16V-651, the affected vehicles may not have received the complete software update necessary to remedy the recall condition. Without the update, certain driving conditions may cause the air bag sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) software to activate a diagnostic test. During this test, deployment of the frontal air bags and the seat belt pretensioners would not occur in the event of a crash.

A failure of the front air bags or seat belt pretensioners to deploy in the event of a crash necessitating deployment increases the risk of injury to the driver and front passenger.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will reflash the SDM software. Vehicles that have had a previous air bag deployment will have the SDM replaced. These repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall began on August 4, 2017. Owners may contact Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300, Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020, or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. In the affected vehicles, certain driving conditions may cause the air bag sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) software to activate a diagnostic test.

8. Electrical system, ignitionOct 9, 2015

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks manufactured January 24, 2014, to February 26, 2014, 2015 Chevrolet Suburban vehicles manufactured February 12, 2014 and Chevrolet Tahoe vehicles manufactured February 6, 2014, to February 13, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the ignition lock actuator may bind, making turning the key difficult or causing the ignition to get stuck in the "Start" position.

If stuck in the "Start" position, the ignition may suddenly snap back into the "Accessory" position, causing a loss of engine, steering, and braking power, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. If the vehicle is in a crash, the air bags may not deploy, increasing the risk of occupant injury.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the ignition lock housing, free of charge. The recall began on November 20, 2015. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is 15573.

  9. Steering, electric power assist systemNov 10, 2014

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2015 Chevrolet Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Sierra, and Yukon XL vehicles, equipped with electric power steering (EPS). Due to a problem with the EPS module, the affected vehicles may experience a sudden loss of power steering assist during vehicle operation.

An unexpected loss of power steering increases the risk of a crash.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the power steering assist motor kit, free of charge. The recall began on November 17, 2014. Owners may contact GM customer service at 1-800-222-1020 (Chevrolet), or 1-800-462-8782 (GMC). GM's number for this recall is 14743.

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2015 Chevrolet Suburban, Suburban LTZ, Tahoe, Tahoe LTZ, GMC Yukon, and Yukon XL Denali vehicles manufactured on May 13, 2014. The affected vehicles were assembled with a roof rail air bags (RRAB) that were not reinforced at the points were the bags contact the hardware used to attach the roof carrier.

During deployment, the RRAB may be punctured or torn by the roof carrier hardware, reducing its performance and increasing the risk of occupant injury in the event of a crash.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the roof carrier attaching hardware, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in early September 2014. Owners may contact GM customer service at 1-800-222-1020 (Chevrolet) or 1-800-462-8782 (GMC). GM's number for this recall is 14359.

  11. Power train, transfer case (4-wheel drive)Jun 27, 2014

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra vehicles, and model year 2015 GMC Yukon and Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe vehicles. In the affected vehicles, an electrical signal short may cause the transfer case to shift to neutral without the driver's input.

If the transfer case switches to neutral while the vehicle is parked and the parking brake is not in use, the vehicle may roll away increasing the risk of injury to bystanders. If the transfer case switches to neutral while the vehicle is being driven, the vehicle would lose drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will re-program the software in the transfer case control module, free of charge. The recall began in early August 2014. Owners may contact General Motors customer service at 1-800-222-1020 (Chevrolet), or 1-800-462-8782 (GMC). GM's number for this recall is 14192.

  12. Electrical system, softwareJun 6, 2014

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, and 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban vehicles equipped with a base radio and an internal amplifier. The radios in the affected vehicles may become inoperative, and as a result, there would be no audible chime to notify the driver if the door is opened with the key in the ignition or no audible seat belt warning indicating the seat belts were not buckled. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 114, "Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention," and 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

Without an audible indicator, the driver may not be aware that the driver's door is open while the key is in the ignition, increasing the risk of a vehicle rollaway. Additionally, there would be no reminder that the driver's or front seat passenger's seat belt is not buckled, which could increase the risk of injury in a crash.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will update the radio software, free of charge. The recall began on July 2, 2014. Chevrolet owners may contact GM's customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GMC owners may contact GM's customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is 14315.

In the affected vehicles, the tie rod threaded attachment may not be properly tightened to the steering gear rack.

An improperly tightened tie rod attachment may allow the tie rod to separate from the steering rack, resulting in a loss of steering, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.

GM notified all owners, and dealers will inspect the inner tie rods to make sure that they are correctly tightened, replacing the steering gear, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on May 14, 2014. Owners may contact General Motors customer service at 1-800-222-1020 (Chevrolet), or 1-800-462-8782 (GMC). GM's number for this recall is 14204. 1. Steering, Suspension, Electronic stability control (ESC), Jun 17, 2019

WHILE DRIVING SUSPENSION SYSTEM ALLOWS CAR TO BOUNCE BADLY, AS IF ALL SHOCKS ARE NOT WORKING, LTZ MODEL HAS MAG RIDE ACTIVE SUSPENSION. THIS PROBLEM IS FOUND TO BE COMMON ON 2015 TAHOE AND SUBURBANS. MANY FORUMS ON WEB HAVE REPORTS OF THIS SYSTEM FAILURE AT LOW MILAGE. MY TAHOE WAS PURCHASED NEW AND HAS ONLY 71K MILES, NO COLLISIONS OR ACCIDENTS. ALL MAINTAINED CE PERFORMED AS NEEDED.

  2. Suspension, Jun 10, 2019

OUR STRUTS WENT OUT AT 60K MILES. WE ONLY OWNED THE CAR FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS AND WE BOUGHT IT FROM A CHEVY DEALERSHIP WITH ONLY 1 OTHER OWNER. WE HAD TO HAVE THEM REPLACED AND IT COST $1500. WE WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CHEVY AGAIN. MY HUSBAND'S SILVERADO HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT A MONEY PIT AS WELL. THESE EXPENSIVE CARS SHOULD LAST.

  3. Suspension, May 21, 2019

SUSPENSION SUDDENLY BECAME VERY BOUNCY WHEN DRIVING ON A CITY STREET. STEERING WHEEL IS AFFECTED BY BUMPS IN ROAD, TURNING THE VEHICLE INTO OTHER LANES OF TRAFFIC UNLESS HOLDING ONTO HE WHEEL TIGHTLY. MORE DIFFICULT TO CONTROL. VEHICLE LEANS WHEN TURNING. DOES NOT FEEL SAFE TO DRIVE. I AM NOT DRIVING THE VEHICLE UNTIL REPAIRED. SHOCKS ARE LEAKING AND BEGINNING TO SEIZE. VEHICLE ONLY HAS 39,990 MILES. NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY. SEARCHED THE WEB AND THIS ISSUE SEEMS TO AFFECT ALL TAHOE, ESCALADE AND YUKON MODELS ALONG WITH CHEVY AND GMC TRUCKS WITH THE MAGNERIDE SUSPENSION.

  4. Suspension, Mar 15, 2019

THE SUSPENSION ON MY 2015 CHEVY TAHOE MAKE THE TRUCK VERY BOUNCY. I HAVE APPROX. 75,000 MILES ON IT. WHEN GOING DOWN THE ROAD I FEEL EVERY BUMP IN THE ROAD AND WHEN GOING INTO CURVES IT FEEL LIKE I MAY LOOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. WITH ALL THE COMPLAINT ABOUT THE SUSPENSION ON THIS VEHICLE I FEEL THAT CHEVY SHOULD HAVE A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE.

  5. Suspension, Dec 10, 2018

Z95 MAGNETIC SUSPENSION STRUT FAILED AND LEAKING, MAKING THE RIDE VERY BOUNCY AND UNCRONTROLLABLE. THIS FAILED AT ABOUT 65K MILES.

  6. Suspension, Dec 10, 2018

THE VEHICLE IS VERY BOUNCY AND HARD TO STEER. TOOK IT TO A DEALERSHIP THEY ADVISED IT NEEDED NEW SHOCK ABSORBERS. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AMONG 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE LTZ, SURBURBAN LTZ, CADILLAC ESCALADE AND GMC DENALI THAT GENERAL MOTORS IS FAILING TO TAKE OWNERSHIP OF.

  7. Suspension, Dec 1, 2018

THE MAGNETIC RIDE STRUTS ON MY TAHOE LTD ARE FAILING. SEEMS TO BE A DEFECTIVE DESIGN. THE DISCUSSION BOARDS ARE FULL OF FAILURES BEGINNING IN THE 30,000 MILES. THEY ALSO APPEAR TO BE THE MOST EXPENSIVE STRUT ON A CHEVROLET. SAME STRUT AS A CADILLAC ESCALADE OR A GMC YUKON DENALI. WHICH APPEAR TO HAVE A HIGH FAILURE RATE. ALSO FOUND ON HIGHER END GMC AND CHEVROLET PICKUPS.

  8. Suspension, Nov 15, 2018

I HAVE A 2015 CHEVY TAHOE LTZ. RIDES LIKE CRAP EVEN AFTER I INSTALLED THE $1800 FRONT AND REAR STRUTS. ITS VERY ROUGH AT LOW OR HIGH SPEEDS. ITS VERY BOUNCY AND DANGEROUS. RIDICULOUS THAT A $65,000 LUXURY VEHICLE HAS SUCH A BAD DESIGN ON THE SUSPENSION!

  9. Suspension, Oct 24, 2018

VEHICLE IS NOTICEABLY LOWER IN THE FRONT END, YOU CAN SEE THE ANGLE OF THE VEHICLE WHILE STANDING BESIDE IT. WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, COMING OUT OF A PARKING LOT, GOING OVER A SPEED BUMP, GOING OVER AN UNEVEN PART OF THE ROAD, OVER EVEN GOING OVER A BRIDGE (SO BASICALLY JUST DRIVING IN GENERAL!) THE VEHICLE BOUNCES UP AND DOWN HARSHLY. THE VEHICLE WILL BOUNCE SEVERAL, SEVERAL, SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE IT RIDES "NORMAL" AGAIN DOWN THE ROAD, AND I SAY "NORMAL" LOOSELY AS IT IT STILL NOT RIDING PROPERLY. AT TIMES THE VEHICLE BECOMES SO BOUNCY, THAT I FEEL THE VEHICLE COME OFF THE ROAD, AND HAS CAUSED ME TO GO INTO THE OTHER LANE BEFORE. GM IS GOING TO LOOK AT , BUT IF ITS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, IT WILL COST OVER $2,000 TO FIX. THIS IS ALSO A CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED WITH A POWER-TRAIN, AND CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED WARRANTY CURRENTLY ACTIVE. I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO REPLACE WHAT I BELIEVE TO BE BAD MAGNETIC STRUTS ON SOMETHING I'VE OWNED 1 & 1/2 YEARS. VEHICLE IS VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE, BUT GM HAS ZERO LOANER VEHICLES FOR ME TO DRIVE, SO THEY SUGGEST I PAY OUT OF POCKET AND USE ENTERPRISE. IT'S GOTTEN SO BAD, THAT I KNOW THE PARTS IN THE ROAD WHERE IT BOUNCES THE WORST, AND I HAVE TO COME TO A NEAR COMPLETE STOP BEFORE GOING OVER THAT PATCH, JUST TO KEEP THE VEHICLE ON THE ROAD. THIS HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREET, HIGHWAYS, DIRT ROAD, BASICALLY ANY TYPE OF ROAD.

  10. Suspension, Oct 12, 2018

MY 2015 TAHOE RIDES LIKE I AM ON A WASHBOARD ALL THE TIME - ANYTIME THE CAR IS IN MOTION. I CAN FEEL EVERY BUMP IN THE ROAD. IT IS JUST AWFUL. I EVEN CAMP UP OFF MY SEAT TODAY JUST RIDING DOWN THE ROAD. IT STARTED RIGHT AROUND THE TIME THE CAR TURNED 50,000 MILES. MY HUSBAND HAS A 2011 GMC PICKUP TRUCK THAT RIDES BETTER THAN THAT VEHICLE. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH IT APPEARS THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH THE MAGNETIC RIDE SHOCKS. THERE ARE MANY, MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ONLINE. I AM WRITING TO REQUEST A RECALL ON THE SHOCKS FOR THE 2015 TAHOE.

  11. Suspension, Oct 2, 2018

EXTREMELY ROUGH RIDE IN FRONT END OF 2015 TAHOE WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS. DEALERSHIP FOUND ROUGH RIDE TO BE CAUSED BY THE SUSPENSION. LEAKING SHOCKS AND STRUTS. 2015 CHEVY TAHOE LTZ. FRONT MAGNETIC RIDE CONTROL STRUTS BLOWN OUT WITH 56,000 MILES. RIDICULOUS. $1600 COST TO REPLACE. GM NEEDS TO RECALL THESE AND REPLACE. THESE SHOULD LAST MUCH LONGER. IT'S A SAFETY ISSUE AS YOUR NORMAL DRIVER WOULD PROBABLY NEVER KNOW. THIS TAHOE HAS NEVER EVEN SEEN DIRT.

  15. Suspension, Aug 7, 2018

FRONT MAGNETIC SUSPENSION FAILED AT 79,000 MILES. NUMEROUS SIMILAR COMPLAINTS REPORTED ONLINE FROM OTHER CONSUMERS. GM MUST ADDRESS THIS! CONSUMERS UNFAMILIAR WITH DETECTING MECHANICAL FAILURE MIGHT CONTINUE TO DRIVE WITH THIS COMMON, DANGEROUS SUSPENSION FAILURE AND CAUSE SEVERE INJURY OR FATALITY.

  16. Suspension, Seats, Jul 6, 2018

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS ON DIFFERENT OCCASIONS, THE DRIVER'S SEAT MOVED BACKWARDS AND FORWARD UNCONTROLLABLY. ALSO, THE FRONT SHOCKS FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. WHILE DRIVING AT NORMAL SPEEDS, THE CONTACT FELT EVERY BUMP AND DIP IN THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BUCKALEW CHEVROLET (1100 INTERSTATE 45 S, CONROE, TX 77301, (936) 657-4462) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE MODULE THAT CONTROLLED THE SEAT MOVEMENT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THAT THE SHOCKS ALSO NEEDED REPLACEMENT DUE TO NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000.

  17. Suspension, Jun 22, 2018

WHEN DRIVING ON A MAIN HIGHWAY IF A BUMP IS HIT CAR BOUNCES EXTREMELY TOO MUCH. REALLY ROUGH RIDE OR BOUNCES LIKE A BASKETBALL DOWN THE ROAD. HAD A MECHANIC LOOK AT IT AND SAID THE STRUTS ARE LOCKED UP AND NEED TO BE REPLACED. HE SAID HE SEES A LOT OF THE CHEVROLET TAHOE'S COMING IN WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM. HAVE NOT GOTTEN THEM REPLACED YET BUT IT IS CRAZY HOW BAD IT HAS GOTTEN RECENTLY.

  18. Suspension, May 24, 2018

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE RIDE. FRONT END VERY, VERY BOUNCY, I WAS JUST TOLD I NEED BOTH FRONT SHOCKS REPLACED, TRUCK ONLY HAS 60,000 MILES. COST OF REPAIR IS NEARLY TWO-THOUSAND DOLLARS. GM IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND ISSUED A BULLITIEN BUT REFUSE TO PAY FOR REPAIRS BECAUSE IT IS OUT OF ORIGINAL WARRANTY. THIS IS A COMMON AND FREQUENT COMPLAINT WITH THE LTZ MODELS, AND IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN AS THE VEHICLE IS HARD TO CONTROL.

  19. Suspension, Other or unspecified, May 3, 2018

SUSPENSION SEIZED (BECAME VIOLENTLY UNSTABLE WHEN GOING OVER THE SLIGHTEST OF BUMPS) FIRST YEAR, TOOK CAR BACK TO DEALER THREE TIMES UNTIL FINALLY DIAGNOSED AND FIXED, POWER LOCK ON REAR DRIVER SIDE DOOR DOES NOT LOCK/UNLOCK EVERY TIME SINCE FIRST YEAR PURCHASED AND AT 40,000 AC STOPPED COOLING. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN TROUBLE FROM THE BEGINNING!

MY WIFE AND MYSELF PURCHASED A NEW CHEVROLET TAHOE LTZ IN 2015. THE FIRST MONTH THE A/C HAD TO BE REPLACED, RAC AND PINION STEERING AND REAR SHOCKS. THE WARRANTY COVERED THE COST. 2016 OF JANUARY THE A/C STARTED MAKING NOISES AND NOT COOILNG, THE FRONT STRUTS MAGNETIC,BALL JOINTS AND STEERING RACK PINION WENT OUT. THIRD OCCURRENCE WAS IN 2017 DECEMBER THE FRONT MAGNETIC STRUCTS AGAIN. WE HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THIS NEW VEHICLE FROM THE TIME WE PURCHASED IT. THE SUSPENSION IS HORRIBLE AND WE LATER FOUND OUT THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF OTHERS WITH THE IDENTITCAL HORRIBLE SUSPENSION PROBLEM. THIS VEHICLE IS PRESENTLY AT 62K MILE AND NEEDS FRONT END SUSPENSION REPLACEMENT. THE WARRANTY DO NOT COVER PASS THREE YEARS. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS HORRIBLE GENERAL MOTORS PRODUCT. THE VEHICLE IS PRESENTLY INOPERABLE BECAUSE OF SUSPENSION PROBLEMS AND GM WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THERE PRODUCT.

I HAVE HAD THIS VEHICLE SINCE JUNE 2015 AND HAD THE TAHOE WITH AUTONATION CHEVY ON SEVERAL OCCASSIONS. AT ONE POINT IT WAS THERE FOR ALMOST 3 MONTHS. THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE SHAKES AT 77 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY. THE ENTIRE FRONT END SHAKES. THEY HAVE CHANGED THE MOTOR MOUNTS, REAR TIRES AND THEY HAVE ALIGNED VEHICLE. THEY HAVE FOUND NOTHING. 2015 CHEVY TAHOE LTZ: CONDENSER AND COMPRESSOR WENT OUT STOPPING ANY COOL OR COLD AIR FLOW IN MIDDLE OF A JUNE. MUST ORDER PARTS DIRECTLY FROM GMC. PARTS ESTIMATE $3,500+ LABOR ESTIMATE $780. WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE? IT'S A LEASED VEHICLE. CHEVROLET WON'T COVER. SAME 2015 CHEVY TAHOE- AT 111K, 4,5,AND 6 GEAR FAILED. TRANSMISSION FAILED GOING UP HILL WITH MY 2 YEAR OLD IN THE VEHICLE! CHEVY ONLY COVERED A PORTION LEAVING ME A $2K BILL IN APRIL 2017. JUNE 2016- I HAD TAKEN MY TAHOE (LEASED) ONLY TO ONE DEALERSHIP WHEN NEEDING ANY MAINTENANCE. MY RECORDS SHOW I STARTED COMPLAINING ABOUT SUNROOF BELLOWS AT 20K MILES AND THE APPLIQUS ON BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE DOORS. JUNE @68K MILES I HAD TO REPLACE SUNROOF, DVD PLAYER, BELLOWS, AND INTERNAL WIRING. ALSO, DRIVERS SIDE STRUT. I SPENT OVER 2K ON MY TAHOE, ONLY TO NOTICE THE DVD PLAYER IS NOT WORKING.... AGAIN.

CAR WAS VIBRATING WHEN GETTING ABOVE 45 MILES PER HOUR. THOUGHT WHEELS NEEDED TO BE BALANCED. ONCE BALANCED,PULLED TRAILER AND VIBRATION WAS EXTREMELY WORSE. VIBRATING LIKE WE HAD THE BACK WINDOW ROLLED DOWN, BUT ALL WINDOWS WERE UP. WENT BACK TO DEALER IN NEWNAN GEORGIA AND THEY HOOKED UP A TRAILER TO ANOTHER VEHICLE AND IT HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. WE WERE TOLD THEY COULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. WE THEN BOUGHT NEW TIRES THINKING IT WOULD HELP THE ISSUE. WE HAVE SINCE BOUGHT TWO SETS OF TIRES, CONSTANTLY HAVING THE VEHICLE TIRES ROTATED AND BALANCED TRYING TO MINIMIZE THE VIBRATION. WE ARE CURRENTLY UP TO 53K ON THE VEHICLE AND VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE VEHICLE WITH THE LUXURY PRICE WE PAID. THIS ALL HAPPENED UPON PURCHASE.

I HAVE TAKEN MY 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE IN SEVERAL TIMES FOR A VIBRATION ISSUE. FIRST TIME IT WAS MENTIONED ON AN INVOICE WAS AUGUST OF 2016 BUT HAD BEEN GOING ON FOR MONTHS BEFORE. MY VEHICLE VIBRATES AT ABOUT ANY SPEED. THE FIRST TIME TO THE DEALER THEY SAID THEY DIDN'T THINK THERE WAS A PROBLEM. THE SECOND TIME THEY SAID THAT IT IS THE SUSPENSION BUT THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT. THE VIBRATION HAS MADE PARTS OF THE VEHICLE TO RATTLE. THE THIRD TIME TO THE DEALER THEY HAD TO FIX A LIGHT ISSUE AND A RATTLE BETWEEN THE PASSENGER FROM DOOR AND BACK DOOR. THE VIBRATION HAPPENS EVERY WHERE AT EVERY SPEED. SCARIEST ON THE HIGHWAY THOUGH. FEELS LIKE THE VEHICLE IS GOING TO "CRACK" IN HALF. SCARY.
