  1. Power train, Jun 28, 2021

I have had a problem with my Ford Focus for months. The car jerks, rattles and shakes when I am driving it. I have taken it back to Ford three times. January 2021, I attempted to get an appointment at Autonation Ford on Phillips Highway Jacksonville, FL. I was told that their repairman had COVID-19 and they could not service my car. I called again and was told that their transmission service man quit and that I had to take the car to Autonation Ford in Orange Park on the other side of Jacksonville. Time 1) I took the car to the dealer in Orange Park on March 16, 2021. They told me that it met specifications and they would not fix it under warranty. Time 2) April 14, 2021, I took it to Autonation Ford in Orange Park. I was told the same story. Time 3) June 17, 2021, I took it to Autonation Ford on Phillips highway In Jacksonville, FL. June 19, 2021, My husband [XXX] talked to the general manager [XXX]. He said he would get back to him in writing. He hasn’t. June 21, 2021, I talked to [XXX], the service person at Autonation Ford on Phillips Highway. He said I could pick up the car. He also said that the invoice wasn't complete and he would e-mail it to me. So far, I haven't received it. June 22, 2021, My husband [XXX] contacted Ford Customer Care and obtained a case number from [XXX]. ([XXX]) She said she could not at that time contact [XXX], but she would continue to attempt to contact him and get back to [XXX]. Attempts to contact her at [XXX] and get a written response have also failed. Each time I have been told that it is within specification and fixing it is not under warranty. I also have been told that it can be fixed now if I pay for it. The cost was estimated at $3,000. When it jerks jerks and shutters, it startles me and distracts me from attention on controlling the car. This condition is not safe. I am now mainly using my husband's Tesla. INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

The contact owns a 2017 Ford Focus. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to accelerate after stopping for a while at a stoplight or in traffic. Additionally, the engine overheated on occasion. The contact turned off the vehicle and waited for the engine to cool down before restarting the vehicle in order for the vehicle to accelerate. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and diagnosed that the transmission fluid was burnt and had metal shavings in the fluid. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that the VIN was not under recall. The approximate failure mileage was 120,095.

  3. Power train, Jun 17, 2021

The Transmission is slipping and car won't reverse. This is practically a new car. I had it for only two years and it's not drivable.

  4. Power train, May 26, 2021

2017 Ford Focus. Less than 80,000 Miles. Without warning the vehicle losses power while driving and RPM's go up over 4000. Additionally as I approach intersections with my foot on the break preparing to stop, the RPM's, again go up over 4000 and the car lurches forward with foot on break. Emergency Transmission Fault, Service now - RED - on dash, came on after the second incident listed, does not stay on, comes on intermittently. Vehicle no longer goes into reverse. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE SHUDDERED AND HESITATED WHILE ACCELERATING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER REFUELING, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT WOULD ATTEMPT TO RESTART THE VEHICLE 15-20 TIMES AND THEN ALLOWED THE VEHICLE TO REV FOR 2-3 MINUTES BEFORE THE VEHICLE RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE AND DETERMINED THAT THE FUEL TANK HAD EXCESSIVE VACUUM PRESSURE. THE FUEL TANK NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V845000 (POWER TRAIN) AND 18V735000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) AS POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS TO THE FAILURE HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. JOE COTTON FORD, INC. (5 W. NORTH AVE, CAROL STREAM, IL 60188, (630) 682-9200) WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. MY FORD FOCUS HATCHBACK IS A AUTOMATIC AND CAN SHIFT INTO SUPER AUTO/MANUAL ARE AVAILABLE. MY VEHICLE STAGGERS, SHUTTERS, AND SHAKES ONCE IN DRIVE MODE. MY VEHICLE ALSO ROLLS BACKWARDS WHEN ON A INCLINE IF I DO NOT PRESS THE BREAK PEDAL, AND IF I DO NOT ACCELERATE AT ALL OR TOUCH THE BREAKS IT WILL LOSE MOMENTUM AND BEGIN TO ROLL BACKWARDS IF THE FRONT OF THE VEHICAL IS INCLINED. THIS ISSUE IS NOT SOLELY THE MANUAL MODELS MY 2017 FORD FOCUS FWD AUTOMATIC SHUTTERS WHILE ACCELERATING FROM A COMPLETE STOP. I CHECKED TRANSMISSION FLUID ALL LEVELS WERE GOOD THERE. MY ELECTRONIC 'ANTICIPATION' SCORE IN MY CARS ECO FAQS DASHBOARD IS 5/5. 5/5 IS THE BEST YOUR SCORE CAN BE. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE FOR NOT JUST 2014-2016 BUT 2017 AUTOMATICS AND MANUALS BOTH! IF YOU CAN'T ACCELERATE YOUR VEHICLE WITHOUT TRANSMISSION STAGGERING, SHUTTERING, SHAKING AND RELATED ISSUES WITH DRIVING NEW TO PREOWNED 60K-100K AND UNDER VEHICLES THIS IS VERY CONCERNING. MY VEHICLE IS UNDER 52K MILES I GOT IT AROUND 49K. IT WAS BRAND NEW ONE OWNER BEFORE ME AND THE CAR FACS REPORT WAS DETAILED ON ITS SERVICE HISTORY AND VERY WELL MAINTAINED. IF MY VEHIC IS AUTOMATIC WITH ECO AND TECHNOLOGY AS WELL AS UP TO DATE SYNC UPDATES THENT ELECTRONICALLY MY VEHICLE IS COMPUTING INCORRECTLY AND THIS FLEX FUEL IS CAUSING SOME COMPUTER ISSUE WITH MY TRANSMISSION. IF MY UP TO DATE VEHICLE TECHNOLOGY IS CAUSING ISSUES THEN I CAN'T TRUST MY VEHICLE TO KNOW HOW TO KEEP ME SAFE. IF I NEED TO ACCELERATE BUT HAVE TO PRESS THE BREAKS OR LET OFF THE GAS UNTIL THE SHUTTERING/STAGGERING/SHAKING COMPLETELY GOES AWAY THEN HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO ACCELERATE TO AVOID SOMETHING, TO MERGE AND GET UP TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC SPEED? MY ANTICIPATION IS 5 OUT OF 5 FOR MY ACCELERATION RATINGS TO BE THE BEST POSSIBLE. MY VEHICLE IS UNSAFE FOR AVOIDING SAFETY HAZARDS AND DRIVING FROM A COMPLETE STOP INTO 1ST, AND 2ND GEAR. THE STEERING IS GREAT.

  12. Power train, Engine, Mar 23, 2021

2017 FORD FOCUS S, SHUDDERS/SHAKES WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A FULL STOP. THE CAR ACTS AS IF THE TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING. THE CAR IS PARKED AND I REFUSE TO MOVE IT UNTIL THIS ISSUE IS ADDRESSED. FORD NEEDS TO FIX THIS ISSUE OR ISSUE EVERYONE WHO OWNS THIS VEHICLE A FULL REFUND OR A DIFFERENT MODEL! THIS IS NOT SAFE AND CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURIES TO ANYONE DRIVING IT, ESPECIALLY ON A HIGHWAY OR BELTWAY AT A GREAT AMOUNT OF SPEED AND THE CAR REFUSES TO ACCELERATE WITHOUT SHUDDERING OR SHAKING.

  13. Power train, Mar 6, 2021

2017 FORD FOCUS - TRANSMISSION SHUTTERS AND HESITATES IN LOW GEARS UPON ACCELERATION. STARTED AT LESS THAN 20K MILES.

  14. Power train, Engine, Mar 4, 2021

ENGINE TIMING CHAIN COVER IS SEEPING OIL AFTER APPROXIMATELY 130,600 MILES. VEHICLE HAS BEEN MAINTAINED PER THE FORD MAINTENANCE MANUAL AND HAS NEVER MISSED A SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE EVENT.

  15. Power train, Mar 1, 2021

THE TRANSMISSION SHUDDERS WHEN ACCELERATING FROM FULLY STOPPED, SUCH AS WHEN DEPARTING FROM A STOP LIGHT OR STOP SIGN. IT ALSO SHUDDERS WHEN ACCELERATING FROM LOW SPEED, SUCH AS COMING OUT OF A PARKING LOT AND ACCELERATING AFTER SLOWLY TURNING ONTO A STREET. THE ENTIRE CAR SHAKES AS IT TRIES TO PICK UP SPEED. THIS HAPPENS WHETHER THE ENGINE IS COLD OR WARM. I HAVE READ DOZENS UPON DOZENS OF IDENTICAL ACCOUNTS FROM OTHER 2017 FORD FOCUS OWNERS. SOMETHING IS INHERENTLY WRONG WITH THE POWERTRAIN SYSTEM THROUGHOUT THE FLEET AND THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD FIX THE PROBLEM.

  16. Power train, Engine, Feb 26, 2021

I PURCHASED MY FORD FOCUS MAY 2017 AS A BRAND NEW VEHICLE WITH ONLY 12 MILES ON IT. IN TWO YEARS, I BEGAN TO FEEL A SHUDDER WHENEVER I STARTED TO DRIVE FROM A STOP. THE SHUDDER WAS ON AND OFF FOR A MONTH AND INCREASINGLY GOT WORSE. I TOOK MY VEHICLE INTO FORD, JULY 2019. THEY STATED THAT MY CLUTCH WENT BAD AND I NEEDED TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. IT WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. SINCE THIS IS A BRAND NEW VEHICLE I WAS SURPRISED IT WAS ALREADY HAVING SUCH A MAJOR ISSUE. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT STAFF NOTIFIED ME THAT THIS PROBLEM IS COMMON WITH FORD FOCUS'S. A YEAR IN A HALF LATER, I BEGAN TO HAVE THE SAME ISSUES AND SYMPTOMS AGAIN. I CALLED FORD TO NOTIFY THEM IN DECEMBER 2020, HE STATED IT MAY BE THE SAME PROBLEM BUT THEY HAVE TO TAKE A LOOK AT IT. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT AND GOT MY VEHICLE REPAIRED FOR THE SAME CLUTCH ISSUE THAT WAS REPLACED ORIGINALLY. THIS WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. I WAS INFORMED THAT ONCE MY WARRANTY EXPIRED THEY WILL NO LONGER COVER THE COST FOR MY REPAIRS ON THE CLUTCH IF IT WENT BAD AGAIN. THIS WOULD RESULT IN ME PAYING $2,300 EACH TIME IT NEEDED A REPAIR. GIVEN THE TWO CLUTCH REPLACEMENTS WITHIN 3.5 YEARS OF HAVING THIS BRAND NEW CAR, I WAS UPSET SINCE THIS SEEMED TO BE AN ISSUE THAT SHOULDN'T BE OCCURRING. I LOOKED UP RECALLS ON 2017 FORD FOCUS'S AND FOUND THE RECALL NUMBER 18V845000 & 18V169000 (18S07). THESE TWO RECALLS SPECIFICALLY MENTION THE TYPE OF ISSUE I'VE HAD TWICE WITH THIS NEW VEHICLE WITHIN 1.5 YEARS OF EACH OTHER. ITS STATES THE SNOWBALL EFFECT OF DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE WITH THE CLUTCH FRACTURS. I CALLED 800 NUMBER TO FORD REGARDING THIS MATTER AND THEY ARE UNABLE TO ASSIST ME UNTIL THIS PROBLEM HAPPENS THREE TIMES. I AM APPALLED SINCE A NEW VEHICLE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM THREE TIMES FOR ASSISTANCE. THIS IS A SERIOUS LIFE-THREATENING MANUFACTURES DEFECT, I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO KEEP PAYING, EVEN AFTER WARRANTY.

  17. Power train, Vehicle speed control, Fuel/propulsion system, Feb 15, 2021

I PURCHASED THIS CAR NEW AND WITHIN A WEEK IT BEGAN SHUDDERING, STUDDERING, JERKING DURING ACCELERATION. FOR A WHILE I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ME GETTING USED TO THE CAR AND PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL ODDLY. OVER THE YEARS THE PROBLEM HAS BECAME WORSE AND APPROXIMATELY 12-15 MONTHS AGO I TOOK IT IN TO BE CHECKED OUT. I HAD TO CONTACT THE DEALERSHIP AND COMPLAIN ABOUT THE WAY MY CAR WAS DRIVING NUMEROUS TIMES BEFORE THEY ALLOWED ME TO BRING IT IN. I CANNOT REMEMBER IF THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE TRANSMISSION OR IF THE "REPAIR" WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. EITHER WAY, THE DEALERSHIP TRIED EVERYTHING THEY COULD TO AVOID ME- SO MUCH THAT I PASSED THE MAXIMUM MILES COVERED IN THE MANUFACTURER WARRANTY BEFORE I WAS ALLOWED TO BRING IT IN BUT THEY DID STILL HONOR IT, CONSIDERING MY COMPLAINT WAS WELL BEFORE THE THRESHOLD WAS SURPASSED. WHEN I PICKED MY CAR UP I WAS TOLD A NEW ELECTRONIC COMPONENT WAS INSTALLED IN(?) THE TRANSMISSION THAT WOULD RECORD AND ADAPT TO MY DRIVING STYLE, ALLOWING A MUCH SMOOTHER TRANSITION BETWEEN GEAR SHIFTS, SOLVING THE SHUDDERING. WHATEVER THEY DID WORKED FOR ABOUT A WEEK, JUST LONG ENOUGH TO ENSURE THE MANUFACTURER WARRANTY EXPIRED. NOW IT IS WORSE THAN EVER- SEVER SHUDDERING AND JERKING BETWEEN GEARS, TAKING LONGER THAN IT SHOULD TO SHIFT GEARS, EVEN SLIPPING GEARS SOMETIMES, OCCASIONAL UNINITIATED ENGINE REVVING AND BOGGING DOWN, HESITATING TO ACCELERATE- BOTH AT A STOP AND WHILE IN MOTION, ROLLING BACKWARDS ON AN INCLINE WHILE IN DRIVE. I'M AFRAID TO PULL OUT ONTO A ROAD IF THERE'S ANY TRAFFIC COMING, AFRAID TO CROSS AT A MEDIAN, MERGE INTO TRAFFIC FROM AN OFF RAMP. I'VE KNOWN FROM THE BEGINNING THAT SOMETHING ISN'T RIGHT WITH THIS CAR, AND READING THROUGH THE CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST FORD FOR THIS SAME MODEL CAR YEARS 2012-2016, I BELIEVE FORD KNOWS, TOO.

  18. Power train, Feb 13, 2021

2017 FORD FOCUS SHUDDERS WHEN SHIFTING FROM 1ST TO 2ND GEAR WHEN HOT. WHEN COLD, NO ISSUES. AFTER A LONG ROAD TRIP ON THE HIGHWAY, WE STOPPED FOR A QUICK BREAK AND STARTED THE CAR UP AGAIN. THIS TIME, I NOTICED A VERY HARSH SHUDDER AND SHAKE AS I ACCELERATED FROM A STOP. NO INDICATORS ON THE DASH, NORMAL PRESSURE AND TEMP LEVELS, OIL LEVEL PERFECT.

  19. Power train, Feb 8, 2021

MY 2017 FORD FOCUS FOR A WHILE NOW HAS HAD MANY TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS INCLUDING STUTTERING, SHUDDERING, AND EVEN ROLLING BACKWARDS WHILE ON A HILL IN DRIVE. I HAVE HAD MY FORD FOCUS FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS NOW AND HAVE UPDATED IT ON ALL OF ITS RECALLS. BUT, NOT TO LONG AFTER I GOT IT, THE TRANSMISSION STARTED SHOWING PROBLEMS AS THE ONES I LISTED EARLIER. IT BEGAN FIRST WITH THE STUTTERING AND THEN PHYSICALLY BECAME NOTICEABLE WHEN I ROLLED BACK ON A HILL. I KNOW THERE HAVE BEEN RECALLS AND A LAWSUITS AGAINST FORD FOR THE PREVIOUS MODELS, PRIMARILY BETWEEN 2012-2016. BUT, I THINK THE 2017 HAS THE SAME ISSUES BUT NO RECALLS ON IT YET. I'M HOPING THAT BY FILING A REPORT, SOMETHING WILL COME OFF IT BECAUSE IT IS A SUBSTANTIAL PROBLEM. DEALERSHIPS ARE REAPING EVEN MORE BECAUSE AS SOON AS I HAD MY PROBLEMS, I IMMEDIATELY WENT BACK TO MY DEALERSHIP TO TELL TO THEM AND THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS A MATTER OF GETTING USED TO. SOMETHING ABOUT THE CAR ADJUSTING TO MY FOOT PRESSURE BUT IT'S ONLY BEEN GETTING WORSE. AFTER MUCH USAGE IS WHEN IT'S VERY NOTICEABLE BUT THERE IS SOMETHING DEFINITELY WRONG. I'VE BEEN IN INSTANCES WHERE I'M TRYING TO TURN ON CITY STREETS BUT BECAUSE THE CAR STUTTERS, IT MAKES ME SLOW DOWN OR PAUSE; HENCE, PLACING ME IN POSITIONS OF ACCIDENTS OR SOMETHING WORSE. I JUST HOPE SOMETHING CAN BE DONE.

  20. Power train, Feb 3, 2021

CAR SHUDDERS FROM 1ST TO 2ND GEAR WHEN AT A COMPLETE STOP OR WHILE DRIVING. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER MULTIPLE TIMES. THEY REPLACED THE CLUTCH TWICE. THE OTHER TIMES THEY VERIFY THE SHUTTER BUT SAID ITS WITH IN NORMAL SPEC. THEY SAID FORD IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE.

  21. Power train, Jan 23, 2021

WHEN ACCELERATING "NORMALLY" THE TRANSMISSION WILL SLIP BETWEEN 1ST AND SECOND GEARS. WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A ROLLING START LIKE ON A FREEWAY, THE TRANSMISSION WILL REV AND THEN SHIFT AND/OR SLIP CAUSING TEMPORARY LOSS OF POWER

  22. Power train, Jan 20, 2021

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HIS DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING, THE VEHICLE SHIFTS RANDOMLY FROM FIRST TO SECOND GEAR THEN STARTS TO SHUDDER. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT WHILE HIS DAUGHTER WAS MAKING A RIGHT TURN INTO TRAFFIC, THE TRANSMISSION SHUDDERS, THE DRIVER LED OFF HER FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND NEARLY GOT HIT BY OTHER UPCOMING VEHICLES WITH HER CHILD IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CHAPMAN FORD, 1255 COLUMBUS AVE, MARYSVILLE, OH 43040, AND WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CLUTCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER CALLED FORD MANUFACTURER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE RANGE WAS NOT WITHIN THE PARAMETER FOR THE REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND REMAINED AT THE DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

  23. Power train, Engine, Jan 18, 2021

I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE JANUARY 9TH 2021. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AS THE HEAD GASKET RECALL HAD BEEN DONE ALREADY. I COULDN'T HAVE THE CAR CHECKED OUT AS I WAS 3 HOURS EACH WAY FROM HOME AND HAD TO MEET THE DEALER AT 9 PM. I DROVE THE CAR AND ALL SEEMED GOOD. ON THE 3 HR DRIVE HOME I NOTICED OIL PRESSURE WAY GOING BACK AND FORTH AND THE CAR DIDN'T SEEM TO HAVE THE POWER IT DID 1 HR BEFORE, I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST IN MY HEAD. SO MONDAY I PUT THE CAR ON THE LIFT AT WORK AND SEEN THEIR WAS OIL COMING FROM THE HEADGASKET AREA AGAIN. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL PAPERWORK FROM WHEN IT WAS DONE AT A DEALER BUT IT ALSO IS KNOWN THAT THE EARLY RECALLS THAT WERE DONE DID NOT USE THE CORRECT GASKET EVEN FOR THE RECALL. I AM ASKING FOR THIS TO GET FIXED AS I DIDN'T PAY 30,000 FOR A CAR THAT I CANT DRIVE AND HAVE TO PAY 11,000 TO FIX THE MOTOR. THE CAR HAD 51522 MILES WHEN I BOUT IT. IT IS 200 MILES FOR THE DRIVE HOME. AND IT HAS 51833 ON IT RIGHT NOW AND I DRIVE IT DAILY.

SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE I NOTICED THE CLUTCH SLIPPING WHILE DRIVING. THIS INCLUDES SLIPPING INTO NEUTRAL AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, AS WELL AS SLIPPING WHILE TRYING TO ACCELERATE, LEAVING ME WITH NO POWER. THE SHIFTS, ESPECIALLY 1ST TO SECOND ARE VERY VIOLENT AND ROUGH. WHILE SHIFTING THE WHOLE CAR SHAKES AGGRESSIVELY WHILE ALSO BEING PAIRED WITH A SHUDDERING AND GRINDING NOISE. FORD WAS NOTIFIED OF THIS PROBLEM AT 49,195 MILES ON NOVEMBER 19TH 2019. FORD TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE AND SAID THAT THEY COULD NOT RECREATE MY COMPLAINT. I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT "THIS IS HOW THIS CAR DRIVES". I BELIEVE I WAS TOLD THIS AS A DETERRENT FROM MAKING FUTURE COMPLAINTS. TWO THOUSAND MILES LATER I WENT BACK TO FORD AFTER MY CAR WAS NOT DRIVING IN REVERSE. FORD CHOSE TO RELEARN THE CLUTCH HOWEVER THIS WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION ITSELF AS WELL AS THE CLUTCH, NO FURTHER REPAIRS WERE MADE. I WAS THEN TOLD AGAIN THAT THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE. WE ALSO MADE 2 REPORTS TO FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE NOTIFYING FORD OF THIS PROBLEM AS I WAS STILL UNDER MY WARRANTY. NOW 9 THOUSAND MILES OUT OF WARRANTY (69,000) FORD IS TELLING ME THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH MY TRANSMISSION AND THAT THE VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THEY ARE REQUIRING A DIAGNOSTIC FEE OF 1200 DOLLARS TO INVESTIGATE THE PROBLEM AND SEE WHAT NEEDS REPAIRS AT MY EXPENSE. I BELIEVE FORD IS ONLY ACKNOWLEDGING THE PROBLEM WITH THIS UNSAFE VEHICLE NOW THAT I AM OUT OF WARRANTY.

I BOUGHT MY 2017 FORD FOCUS SE WITH 8 MILES ON IT WHEN IT GOT ABOUT 5,000 MILES ON IT MY TRANSMISSION BEGAN TO SHUTTER. BROUGHT IT TO 3 DIFFERENT FORD DEALERSHIPS TO BE TOLD NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. ABOUT 20,000 MILES I NOTICE THE SHUTTER BECOMING WORST AND WORST TO BE TOLD ONCE AGAIN NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. NOW MY CAR IS AT 50,000 AND ANYTIME IT'S UNDER THE HALF WAY MARK WITH GAS THE SHUTTER BECOME MORE INTENSE. STILL FORD WANTS TO TELL ME THERE IS NO PROBLEMS
