TRANSMISSION GEARS ARE ROUGH, SLIPPING, JERKS A LITTLE AND TRANSMISSION OVERHEATS AND CAN'T DRIVE. LOOSES POWER WHEN DRIVING. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS VEHICLE BUT I WAS TOLD ONLY THE CARS THAT IN A MANUFACTURED AREA OR A GROUP ARE IN RECALL. MAKES NO SENSE BECAUSE WE HAVE THE EXACT SAME CAR THAT IS BEING RECALLED AND WE WEREN'T IN THAT GROUP OR MANUFACTURED AREA SO OUR VEHICLE WON'T BE REPAIRED. SOMETHING IS SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH THIS WHOLE ISSUE. IT'S THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE ONES IN GROUP THAT ARE BEING RECALLED. WHY ISN'T OUR CAR BEING RECALLED, IT'S A SAFETY ISSUE ALSO... THIS SEAMS VERY WRONG. OUR CAR IS ONLY TWO YEARS OLD AND WE DON'T HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY TO FIX ON OUR OWN...

WHEN I'M DRIVING MY CAR IT DOESN'T MATTER THE SPEED I USED TO THINK IT ONLY HAPPENED IF I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY BUT IT HAPPENED ON MY WAY HOME A DAY AND I WAS GOING 35-40 MPH. BASICALLY WHILE DRIVING MY CAR STARTS TO SLOW DOWN AND NO MATTER HOW MUCH I PRESS THE GAS IT DOESN'T CHANGE GEARS/ SPEED UP. WHEN THIS TENDS TO HAPPEN THE ENGINE FAULT LIGHT WILL COME ON. BY THE TIME I GET TO THE DEALERSHIP AND TURN THE CAR OFF AND TURN IT BACK ON THEY SAY NOTHING READS ON THE DIAGNOSTIC SO BASICALLY WHATEVER REASON THE LIGHT COMES ON FOR DOESN'T STAY IN THE SYSTEM SO THAT THEY CAN SEE THE ISSUE. THIS HAS HAPPENED FIVE TIMES WITHIN THE PAST TWO MONTHS.

I BOUGHT MY CAR BRAND NEW. THE TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN SHUDDERING AT AN INCREASING RATE. THE CAR IS SLOW TO PICK UP SPEED AND OFTEN JERKS AS IT TRIES TO INCREASE SPEED BY SMALL INCREMENTS, SUCH AS 5MPH. WHEN I DO TRY TO ACCELERATE THE CAR EXPENDS A TON OF EFFORT, THE RPM SHOOTS UP, THE CAR SHUDDERS AND SHAKES. AS THE PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE INCREASING, MY CONCERN FOR MY SAFETY IS ALSO INCREASING. IT IS DIFFICULT TO MERGE INTO HEAVY TRAFFIC AS MY CARS ABILITY TO ACCELERATE IS ALWAYS DIFFICULT TO ESTIMATE. THIS IS BECOMING MORE AND MORE OF A SAFETY RISK. I AM DEEPLY CONCERNED THAT THESE TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS CREATE A SAFETY RISK FOR WHEN I AM DRIVING ON HIGHWAYS. HOWEVER, THE PROBLEMS ARE STILL PRESENT ON CITY ROADS BECAUSE MY CAR IS UNABLE TO KEEP UP WITH THE EVERCHANGING SPEED LIMITS IN MY TOWN. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN ONGOING SINCE I BOUGHT MY FORD, BUT HAS DEFINITELY INCREASED IN ITS SEVERITY.

I NEED THIS TAKEN CARE OF BEFORE TIME FOR THE INSPECTION IN A MONTH. HOW DO I GO ABOUT SEEING IF THIS IS IN FACT A RECALL AND GET IT FIXED ASAP??

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE DEALER; HOWEVER CLEANED THE THROTTLE BODY. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V735000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) WAS A POSSIBLE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. I CAME CLOSE TO A CAR REAR ENDING MY VEHICLE AS MY ENGINE STARTED AUTOMATIC SLOWING SPEED. THIS ISSUE COMES AND GOES. I'VE BEEN READING THERE IS A RECALL ON THIS SO I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE SO I CAN TAKE IT TO A DEALER TO GET THIS ENGINE FIXED.

I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW 2017 FORD FOCUS AND WITHIN A YEAR OF HAVING THE VEHICLE IT BEGAN TO SHUTTER WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOPPED POSITION. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY SAID THERE WAS NOT A BIG ENOUGH PROBLEM TO FIX. A FEW MONTHS LATER IN ADDITION TO THE SPUTTERING WHILE TAKING OFF FROM BEING STOPPED THE TRANSMISSION NOW SHUTTERS WHEN I REACH SPEEDS OF 50-65. I KNOW I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS PROBLEM. FORD IS PUTTING OUT A GARBAGE PRODUCT AND REFUSING TO FIX THE PROBLEM.

THE HEADLINER AT THE TOP OF THE WINDSHIELD HAS COME LOOSE AND IS SEPERATING . LOOKS AS IF IT WAS NOT GLUED OR NOT ENOUGH MATERIAL WAS USED TO KEEP IT IN PLACE. DO NOT KNOW HOW FORD FASTENS THE HEADLINER TO THE WINDSHIELD AREA,BUT FOR IT TO COMES LOOSE AFTER ONLY HAVING BOUGHT IT NEW IN MAY OF 2018 I THINK IS RIDICULOUS , HEADLINER IS 90% TO 95% ALL THE WAY ACROSS.. THIS WAS DISCOVERED IN DRIVEWAY AND CAR WAS NOT IN MOTION WHEN TAKING A SUNSHADE FROM THE WINDSHIELD. THIS WAS FIRST NOTICED ON 06=03-2019.

PURCHASED 9/2018.CARE HAS BEEN SHAKING LIKES ITS GOING TO FALL APART EVER SINCE THEN. . I HAVE A MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND CAR GRUNTS WHEN PICKING UP SPEED LIKE I HAVE A CLUTCH SHIFT AND MAKES THIS SCRATCHING NOISE WHEN I SHIFT FROM PARK TO REVERSE. OR REVERSE TO DRIVE. ALSO WHEN I BARELY TAP THE BREAKS ITS STOP SO SUDDENLY THE JILT FORCES ME FORWARD.. TODAY 9/13/19 THE TRANSMISSION FAULT MESSAGE CAME ON. AND WENT OFF. THEN WHEN I START THE CAR BACK UP TO CHECK SYSTEMS.. THE MESSAGE SYSTEM SAYS ALL SYSTEMS NORMAL AND THE LIGHT DIDNT COME BACK ON AFTER DRIVING IT AROUND, SHIFT FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE, AND SHUTTING OF AND STARTING UP CAR 3 DIFFERENT TIMES.

WHEN STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT THE VEHICLE HAS A JOLTING SIMILAR TO DROPPING THE CLUTCH IN A MANUAL TRANSMISSION. WHEN SHIFTING FROM 1-2 THERE IS A LOUD GRINDING (REALLY BAD) AND NOTICABLE SHIMMY IN THE VEHICLE ACCOMPANIED BY A LOSS OF POWER AND A SUDDEN JUMP WHEN THE CLUTCH CATCHES. THERE IS A COMMON LOSS OF POWER WHEN COMING FROM A STOP. THESE SYMPTOMS ARE EVEN MORE COMMON WHEN THE VEHICLE HAS WARMED UP AND DRIVEN FOR MORE THAN 10 MINUTES.
Other or unspecified, Sep 1, 2019
I HAD THE CLUTCH REPLACED INSIDE TRANSMISSION 8 MONTHS AGO BECAUSE OF A HARD VIBRATION AFTER I PRESS GAS PEDAL FROM A STOP MAJOR OF TIMES. THIS DILEMMA IS STILL OCCURRING A HARD VIBRATION AFTER I PRESS THE GAS PEDAL FROM A STOP MAJOR OF TIMES WHEN I'M IN TRAFFIC WAITING 4 THE LIGHT TO CHANGE TO PROCEED ON THE ROADWAY.

MY CAR IS THE THE 2017 FOCUS HAS A NEW DESIGN BUT THE SAME DUAL CLUTCH 'AUTOMATIC' TRANSMISSION SYSTEM AS PREVIOUS YEAR MODELS. ... HOWEVER, WHERE THE FOCUS IS MANUFACTURED DOES NOT EXCUSE THE FACT THAT FORD HAS KNOWN ABOUT THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEM FOR YEARS AND HAS CONTINUED TO IGNORE THE PROBLEM. THIS HAPPENS ONLY WHEN DRIVING.

HELLO, I HAVE A 2017 FORD FOCUS. I HAD TOOK MY CAR TO A AUTO SHOP BECAUSE I STARTED TO SMELL GAS AND MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAD CAME ON. THE AUTO SHOP TOLD ME THAT THERE IS A LEAK SOME WERE AND ITS GOING TO COST ME $430 JUST TO DROP THE TANK TO SEE WERE THE LEAK IS COMING FROM BUT THEN TOLD ME THERE WAS A NEW RECALL FOR THE SAME YEAR MAKE AND MODEL FOR A FUEL TANK DEFECT.
