Recalls and investigations

  1. Air bags, side/window, curtain, inflatorJul 1, 2021

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2015-2016 GMC Sierra 1500, 2500, 3500, and Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 2500, and 3500 trucks. The roof-rail air bag (RRAB) inflator end cap may detach from the inflator, or the inflator sidewall may rupture.

A separated inflator end cap or inflator rupture can allow compressed gas to escape, resulting in the end cap or other components being propelled into the vehicle, increasing the risk of injury or crash.

Dealers will replace the left and right side RRAB modules, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters informing owners of the safety risk were mailed on August 18, 2021. Owners will receive a second notice when the remedy is available. Phase I owner notification letters were mailed on May 5, 2022. Phase II owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on May 31, 2022. Owners may contact GMC customer service at 1-888-988-7267 or Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. This recall supersedes NHTSA recall number 20V-736. GM's number for this recall is N202324251.

  2. Seat belts, frontApr 8, 2021

General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2014-2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 2015-2016 Chevrolet Tahoe, and 2014-2015 GMC Sierra 1500 vehicles that may have received an incorrect replacement tensioner cable assembly as part of a previous recall remedy or a subsequent repair. The flexible steel cable connecting the driver's seat belt to the outboard side of the seat may be repeatedly bent over the seat side shield as the driver enters and exits the vehicle causing the cable to fatigue and separate.

A broken pretensioner cable reduces the effectiveness of the driver's seat belt, increasing the risk of injury.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver seat belt lap pretensioner, free of charge. The recall began on May 5, 2021. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020, and GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is N212330040.

  3. Air bags, side/window, curtain, inflatorNov 25, 2020

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2015-2016 GMC Sierra 1500 and Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500, and Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and 3500 trucks. The roof-rail air bag (RRAB) inflator end cap may detach from the inflator.

If the end cap separates from the inflator, the compressed gas will escape and the end cap can be propelled into the vehicle, increasing the risk of injury or a crash.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the RRAB modules on the left and/or right side, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters were mailed on December 22, 2020. Owners may contact GMC customer service at 1-888-988-7267 or Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. Note: GM filed a new recall, number 21V-504 that supersedes this recall. All vehicles previously recalled under 20V-736 will now be repaired under the new recall number 21V-504. GM's numbers for this recall are N202309680, N202309681, and N202309682.

  4. Service brakes, hydraulic, antilock/traction control/electronic limited slip, wheel speed sensor/tone ringOct 24, 2019

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2015-2020 Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, and GMC Yukon, and 2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 vehicles equipped with a 5.3-liter engine, a 3.08-ratio rear axle and four-wheel drive. If a wheel-speed sensor fails, while the vehicle is traveling between 41 and 60 mph in four-wheel or automatic mode, the Electronic-Brake Control Module (EBCM) software may activate the driveline-protection system.

Unintended activation of the driveline-protection system will cause unintended braking on the wheel on the opposite side of the failed sensor, causing the vehicle to pull to one side unexpectedly, increasing the risk of a crash.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the EBCM, free of charge. The recall began December 11, 2019. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-630-2438 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is N192261050.

  5. Service brakes, hydraulic, power assist, vacuumSep 6, 2019

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2015-2017 Cadillac Escalade, 2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, 2015-2018 Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Yukon vehicles. The amount of vacuum created by the vacuum pump may decrease over time.

As the vacuum level drops, the brake assist decreases, increasing braking effort, extending the distance required to stop the vehicle, thereby increasing the risk of a crash.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the Electronic Brake Control Module, free of charge. The recall began October 8, 2019. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-630-2438, Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is N192268490.

  6. Steering, electric power assist systemSep 7, 2018

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Tahoe and Suburban, GMC Sierra 1500 and Yukon, and Cadillac Escalade vehicles. Electric power steering (EPS) assist may be lost momentarily, followed by a sudden return of EPS assist.

If EPS assist is lost and then suddenly returns, the driver may have difficulty steering the vehicle, especially at low speeds, increasing the risk of a crash.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will update the EPS module software, free of charge. The recall began October 12, 2018. Owners may contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 and GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is 18289.

  7. Air bags, frontalJul 10, 2017

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 Buick Lacrosse and Chevrolet Spark EV, Caprice PPV and SS vehicles, 2014-2017 Buick Encore and Chevrolet Corvette, Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 vehicles, 2015-2016 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Tahoe, Trax, Suburban and Silverado 2500 and 3500 and GMC Yukon and Yukon XL vehicles, and 2015-2017 GMC Sierra HD 2500 and 3500 vehicles. While being previously remedied for recall 16V-651, the affected vehicles may not have received the complete software update necessary to remedy the recall condition. Without the update, certain driving conditions may cause the air bag sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) software to activate a diagnostic test. During this test, deployment of the frontal air bags and the seat belt pretensioners would not occur in the event of a crash.

A failure of the front air bags or seat belt pretensioners to deploy in the event of a crash necessitating deployment increases the risk of injury to the driver and front passenger.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will reflash the SDM software. Vehicles that have had a previous air bag deployment will have the SDM replaced. These repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall began on August 4, 2017. Owners may contact Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300, Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020, or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. 8. Air bags, frontalSep 8, 2016

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2015-2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, 3500 HD, Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD, GMC Yukon, GMC Yukon XL, Cadillac Escalade and Cadillac Escalade ESV vehicles and 2014-2017 Chevrolet Corvette, Silverado 1500, Trax, Caprice Police Pursuit Vehicle, GMC Sierra 1500, Buick Encore, and 2014-2016 Buick Lacrosse, Chevrolet Spark EV and SS vehicles. In the affected vehicles, certain driving conditions may cause the air bag sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) software to activate a diagnostic test.

The recall began on October 13, 2016. Owners may contact Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300, Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020, or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. 9. Seat beltsApr 12, 2016

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks manufactured January 29, 2013, to January 21, 2015. While entering the vehicle, the seat belt tensioner cable may be positioned such that the driver slides over it. This movement may result in the fatigue and separation of the cable.

If the tensioner cable separates, the driver may not be properly restrained in the event of a crash, increasing their risk of injury.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will modify the vehicles to prevent the tensioner from being damaged. Any tensioner that has already been damaged will be replaced, free of charge. The recall began on August 11, 2016. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is 15822.

  1. Service brakes, Nov 20, 2020

BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY IN REVERSE APPLIED THE BRAKES AND BRAKE WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND DID NOT STOP THE VEHICLE LIKE IT SHOULD. THIS VEHICLE HAD A RECALL ALREADY ON IT FOR THE VACUUM PUMP FAILING CAUSING A LOSS OF BRAKING POWER. I GOT THE RECALL REMEDIED ( SUPPOSEDLY BY INCREASING THE VACUUM PRESSURE BUT NOW 6 TO 7 MONTHS LATER THIS IS A HUGE ISSUE IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS DRIVING IN LOW SPEEDS DOWN RESIDENTIAL AREAS WITH KIDS PLAYING ETC AND YOUR BRAKES FAIL YOU THIS ULTIMATELY CAN CAUSE VERY SERIOUS INJURY IF NOT DEATH. AND TO KNOW THEY PUT A RECALL OUT THAT SUPPOSEDLY FIXES THE ISSUE AND IT DOSENT FIX ANYTHING MAKES IT WORSE BECAUSE YOUR CHEAP AND DONT WANT TO REPLACE A VACUUM PUMP IS UTTERLY DISTURBING AND DISGUSTING

  2. Service brakes, Nov 18, 2020

MY TRUCK STILL HAS THE HARD BRAKING ISSUE EVEN THOUGH THE RECALL HAS BEEN PERFORMED. I RECEIVED A SECOND LETTER AND TOOK IT BACK INTO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THE REPROGRAM HAD ALREADY BEEN PERFORMED AND THAT WAS ALL THEY COULD DO. I HAD IT AT THE MECHANIC FOR SERVICE AND WAS TOLD I WAS GOING TO NEED A NEW BRAKE VACUUM. HE EXPERIENCED THE SAME HARD BREAKING ISSUE WHEN HE WAS TEST DRIVING IT. I TRAVEL AND DRIVE MY TRUCK A LOT AND MAKES ME VERY NERVOUS THIS IS GOING TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT.

  3. Structure, Other or unspecified, Nov 17, 2020

I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD ABOUT A QUARTER MILE FROM MY HOUSE AND THE REAR WINDSHIELD ON THE DRIVER SIDE OF MY TRUCK SHATTERED. THIS IS AFTER I HAD THEM LOOK AT THE SAME WINDOW FOR THE DEFROSTER NO LONGER SEEMING TO BE WORKING. I'VE DONE RESEARCH AND SEEN THE SERVICE BULLETIN N192265660, HOWEVER MY TRUCK IS NOT COVERED.

  4. Electrical system, Exterior lighting, Nov 12, 2020

WHILE DRIVING HOME THE OTHER NIGHT BOTH HEADLIGHTS FAILED AT THE SAME TIME. LOST BOTH HIGH BEAM AND LOW BEAM. TRIED EVERYTHING TO GET THEM ON WITH NO LUCK. INTERMENT PANEL SHOWED THAT THEY WERE STILL ON. THIS WAS VERY SCARY AND DANGEROUS AS I HAS TRAVELING ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY. LUCKILY I HAD FOG LIGHT TO GIVE ME SOME LIGHT TO GT OFF THE HIGHWAY SAFELY.

  5. Service brakes, Nov 6, 2020

LOW SPEED BRAKE FAILURE. CREEPING UP TO A STOP SIGN AND AND NOT BEING ABLE TO STOP DUE TO BRAKES BEING HARD TO PUSH. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM BUT WHEN THE DEALER TYPED IN MY VIN # THE DECAL WASN'T LISTED.

  6. Service brakes, Oct 21, 2020

  8. Service brakes, Oct 19, 2020, crash

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2015 GMC DENALI. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THEIR HUSBAND WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, WHEN THE TRAFFIC CAME TO A SUDDEN STOP CAUSING THE CONTACT TO APPLY THE BRAKES TO THE VEHICLE. THE DRIVER HAD TO DEPRESS THE BRAKING PEDAL EXCESSIVELY, HOWEVER, THE BRAKES DID NOT STOP AND THE BRAKES WERE FLOORED. THE VEHICLE ENDED UP REAR ENDING THE VEHICLE IN FRONT. THE AIR BAGS DID DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND TOTALED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE PASSENGER RECEIVED INJURIES TO THE CHEST AND LOWER ABDOMEN AREA. THE ONLY MEDICAL ATTENTION RECEIVED WAS BY EMT AT TIME OF THE CRASH. THE DEALER (CARDINALE GMC 2 HEITZINGER PLAZA, SEASIDE, CA 93955, (831) 322-4112) WAS MADE AWARE. THE CONTACT STATED THEY RECEIVED A NOTICE REGARDING THEIR VEHICLE HAVING ANTI-LOCK BRAKING ISSUES AFTER THE CRASH HAD OCCURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. 9. Service brakes, Oct 19, 2020

2015 GMC SIERRA 1500. HAD THE BRAKE PUMP VACUUM RECALL PERFORMED NOT TOO LONG AGO. THIS ISSUE ACTUALLY SEEMS WORSE NOW. I WAS BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPOT - LOW SPEED WAS THE ISSUE PREVIOUSLY- AND APPLIED THE BRAKE. NOTHING HAPPENED, NO BRAKES (PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED) TRUCK CONTINUED TO BACK OUT AND I HAD TO JAM ON THE BRAKE AGAIN, ONLY THEN DID THE TRUCK BRAKE SYSTEM SHUDDER AND ENGAGE ENOUGH FOR ME TO STOP. THIS HAPPENS AT LOW LOW SPEEDS - CRAWLING TRAFFIC, PARKING LOTS ETC.... I GOT TO TAP THE BRAKE PEDAL TO SLOW A BIT AND NOTHING OCCURS - OR THE PEDAL PUSHES BACK AT ME GIVING ME NO BRAKES. I HAVE TO COMPLETELY DISENGAGE THE PEDAL AND THEN FORCEFULLY ENGAGE THE PEDAL AGAIN TO GET ANY KIND OF BRAKING. I HAVE ONLY NOTICED THIS AT VERY SLOW SPEEDS. THIS IS TERRIBLY SCARY WHEN WE ARE CRAWLING DOWN A STEEP MOUNTAIN HIGHWAY WITH BUMPER TO BUMPER TRAFFIC AND I GET NO BRAKE RESPONSE. LIKE I SAID, THE TRUCK WENT IN FOR A RECALL THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE FIXED THIS ISSUE.

  10. Other or unspecified, Oct 17, 2020

SYMPTOM OF HOT AIR BLOWING WHILE USING THE A/C, STATIONARY OR WHILE OPERATING. FILLED WITH COOLANT WHICH ONLY LASTED ABOUT ONE WEEK. REVIEWED FORUMS AND TSB'S TO NOTE A COMMON ISSUE WITH THE CONDENSER. DEALER WANTED TO DIAGNOSE AND REPLACE ITEMS IN ORDER THAT DID NOT INCLUDE REPLACING THE CONDENSER AT THE TOP OF THAT LIST. PURCHASED A THIRD PARTY CONDENSER, VACUUM PUMP, AND NECESSARY FLUIDS AND ACCESSORIES AND REPLACED BY MYSELF. A/C HAS BEEN WORKING RELIABLY FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. ALTHOUGH I SAVED ABOUT 2K DOLLARS (ALL MATERIALS COST ABOUT 500 HUNDRED DOLLARS), IT'S CLEAR THAT THIS ISSUE IS KNOWN AND SHOULD BE A RECALL.

  11. Service brakes, Oct 13, 2020

TRUCK CONTINUES TO LOSE BRAKES AT LOW SPEEDS OR WHEN BACKING/PULLING TRAILER. TRUCK WAS SERVICED FOR BRAKE RECALL AND NO CHANGE TO BRAKING. CONSISTENTLY LOOSES BRAKING WHEN PARALLEL PARKING OR BACKING INTO PARKING SPOTS ALONG WITH STOP AND GO TRAFFIC BRAKES GO OUT AND YOU MUST STAND ON THE PEDAL TO STOP THE TRUCK. THIS BRAKING ISSUE HAPPENS ALMOST DAILY.

  12. Power train, Engine, Sep 30, 2020

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 GMC SIERRA 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35-50 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED A MINOR SHAKING COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO LOVE BUICK GMC (736 SATURN PKWY, COLUMBIA, SC 29212; (803) 732-6500) WHO FLUSHED AND REFILLED THE TRANSMISSION FLUID HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO THE SAME DEALER WHO PERFORMED ANOTHER TRANSMISSION FLUSH HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE DROVE ROUGH AND THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT USED A DTC SCANNER AND RETRIEVED A CODE RELATED TO THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE AND TEMPERATURE SENSOR. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN STOKES TRAINOR CHEVROLET CADILLAC BUICK GMC (2004 WILSON RD, NEWBERRY, SC 29108; (803) 792-4763) AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE INTERNAL WIRING HARNESS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN A SPECIAL COVERAGE PROGRAM. 13. Fuel/propulsion system, Sep 16, 2020

FUEL GAUGE READS EMPTY ALL THE TIME. WAS WORKING, AFTER SITTING FOR 2 WEEKS, IT DIDN'T.

  14. Service brakes, Sep 11, 2020, crash

THE BRAKES FAILED AS MY SON APPROACHED AN INTERSECTION. SUBSEQUENTLY, HE STRUCK ANOTHER VEHICLE BROADSIDE. EXTENSIVE DAMAGE WAS SUSTAINED TO BOTH VEHICLES. THE DRIVER REPORTED THAT HE PRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL, BUT THE TRUCK WOULD NOT STOP. AFTER I INVESTIGATED FURTHER FOR AN EXPLANANTION,I DISCOVERED THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON HIS BRAKE SYSTEM THAT MIGHT EXPLAIN BRAKE FAILURE. THE CRASH OCCURRED ON A CITY STREET.

  15. Engine, Sep 2, 2020

WHEN I WAS DRIVING MY TRUCK OFF THE HIGHWAY ONTO THE MAIN ROAD WHERE I WAS GOING I NOTICED THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH MY TRUCK. AFTER COMING TO A STOP AT A RED LIGHT ONCE IT TURNED I ACCELERATED AND SUDDENLY FELT A JERK FROM THE TRUCK AND HEARD A LOUD WHISTLING NOISE. IT DID THIS MULTIPLE TIMES ABOUT 5-6 TIME EVERY TIME I WOULD ACCELERATE FROM A SPEED OF 30-40. I DECIDED TO DROP IT OFF AT MY LOCAL GMC TO GET IT LOOKED AT. THEY CALLED ME THE NEXT DAY TO PICK IT UP SINCE THEY RAN IT THROUGH DIAGNOSTICS AND DIDN'T FIND AN ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE. ONCE I GOT THERE I DEMANDED FOR THE MECHANIC TO COME DRIVE THE TRUCK WITH ME TO SEE WHAT THE ISSUE WAS AND THEY DECIDED THEY NEEDED TO KEEP IT FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS TO GET IT LOOKED AT. THEY THEN CALLED TWO DAYS AFTER AND SAID THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS MESSED UP AND NEEDED A NEW ONE TOTALING THE COST TO $5346.07 WHICH IS CERTAINLY NOT SOMETHING WE CAN AFFORD RIGHT NOW! I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THEY DIDN'T SEE THE ISSUE THE FIRST TIME THEY DIAGNOSED IT?? THIS IS SOMETHING THAT NEEDS TO GET RECALLED I HAVE SEEN MANY SIMILAR ISSUES.

  16. Steering, Service brakes, Engine, Aug 29, 2020

THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIME IN THE CITY CROSSING AN INTERSECTION USUALLY AT SLOW SPEED BRAKING AND TURNING AND ALL THE SUDDEN I LOSE EVERYTHING. NO STEERING ELECTRICAL AND BRAKING. THE PARK ASSIST WILL SOMETIMES START GOING OFF LIKE CRAZY JUST BEFORE IT HAPPENS, BUT NOT ALL THE TIME. PUT IN PARK AND OPEN THE DOOR IT COMES BACK ON. THEN SAYS ROLL DOWN DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW AND THEN BACK UP. AT ON TIME I DID HAVE IT HAPPEN ON THE HIGHWAY. I WAS GETTING READY TO PASS AND GIVING IT GAS AND EVERYTHING SHUT DOWN FOR A SPLIT SECOND AND THEN TOOK OFF AGAIN. THIS PROBLEM IS GOING TO GET SOMEONE KILLED.

  18. Electronic stability control (ESC), Service brakes, Engine, Aug 11, 2020

THE VEHICLE IS STALLING WHEN BRAKING AND GETTING READY TO TURN. MY TRUCK IS SHOWING STABILITRAK SERVICE INTERMITTENTLY AND I'VE ALMOST BEEN IN A CRASH 3 TIMES BECAUSE OF THIS. THE VEHICLE ONLY RESTARTS AFTER PLACING IN PARK. THIS IS NOT SAFE WHEN IN TRAFFIC. THERE SEEMS TO BE NO RECALLS AND NO KNOWN CAUSE. SOMEONE IS GOING TO DIE IF GM DOESN'T FIX THIS. I'VE BEEN ON FORUMS AND IT'S A COMMON PROBLEM. IT SHOULD BE FIXED BY GM IF IT IS SO COMMON. THIS HAPPENS WHEN APPROACHING CROSS TRAFFIC AT AN INTERSECTION AND I LOSE ALL CONTROL OF STEERING BRAKING AND POWER TO THE TRUCK.

  19. Power train, Aug 3, 2020

WHILE DRIVING THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO CHANGE GEARS. THIS CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO BE UNRESPONSIVE AND INDICATE A PROBLEM ACCELERATING. THIS HAS BEEN GETTING WORSE OVER THE PAST SEVERAL MONTHS AND ENDED UP LEAVING ME IN A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION YESTERDAY WHILE DRIVING.

  21. Service brakes, Aug 2, 2020

HAVING DIFFICULTY BREAKING DURING ON AND OFF PARKING MODE IN A STATIONARY POSITION. WHEN I REVERSE OR MOVE FORWARD AFTER CHANGING TO EITHER REVERS OR DRIVE GEAR MY TRUCK SEEMS TO TAKE LONGER TO BREAK, AND ALMOST FEEL THAT I DON'T HAVE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. ITS KINDA SCARY TO BE HONEST NOT HAVING CONTROL OF THE BREAKS. THE BREAKS DO BETTER WHEN I'M DRIVING LIKE IN THE EXPRESSWAY WITH OUT ANY PROBLEMS. HOWEVER, WHEN I PARK IN THE HOUSE OR IN A GENERAL PARKING LOT MY TRUCK ANTILOCK SYSTEM DOESN'T SEEM TO WORK VERY WELL. I HAVE ALREADY TAKEN MY TRUCK FOR A RECALL SERVICE AT A GMC DEALER KNOWN AS LUKE FRUIA IN BROWNSVILLE TEXAS 78521 BUT DON'T SEE ANY DIFFERENCE. FEELS LIKE THEY JUST DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM. I ALREADY TOOK THE TRUCK TO A CERTIFIED MECHANIC AND SAID THAT THE BREAK FINE SO I THINK ITS THE ANTILOCK SYSTEM NOT WORKING. IM SCARED DRIVING THE TRUCK AND FEAR I MIGHT GET INTO A COLLISION OR CRASH DUE TO MY ANTILOCK BREAKS NOT WORKING APPROPRIATELY. TO BE HONEST, I FEEL VERY UNSAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE SO I HAVE BEEN USING MY TOYOTA CAR. PLEASE, NEED YOUR HELP ON THIS MATTER. THANK YOU

MY TRUCK HAS 30,000 MILES AND HAS THE 'CHEVY SHUDDER'. WHY IS THIS NOT A RECALL? GMC WANTS ME TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR THE TRANSMISSION FLUSH. WHEN I AM DRIVING THE TRUCK IT BEGINS SHUDDERING AND SHAKING THROUGH CERTAIN SHIFT POINTS.

I BOUGHT THIS NEW ON JAN 3, 2016 ON JULY 26 26, 2019 WHILE FROM WACO TO FT. WORTH TEXAS, MY AC COMPRESSOR SEIZED AND BLEW DESTROYED THE SERPENTINE BELT. I HAD TO REPLACE THE AC COMPRESSOR AND BELT. 31,000 MILES BUT OUT OF WARRANTY. LAST WEEK I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK AND FELT THE AC WAS AGAIN BLOWING HOT AIR. I TOOK IT IN AND TODAY 06/29/20 I HAVE TO REPLACE THE AC CONDENSER AS IT HAS A LEAK AT A WELD POINT. I HAVE READ DOZENS OF COMPLAINTS THAT THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND DEFECT. I WILL NOW BE OUT OVER $2,000 FOR A KNOWN PROBLEM AND ISSUE. I HAVE READ THE TSB, WATCHED NEWS REPORTS AND ON-LINE FORUMS. THE TECH AT MY DEALERSHIP SAID THIS IS A SUPER COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE VEHICLES. THAT SEEMS LIKE IT WOULD LEAD TO A RECALL. *TR
