  1. Other or unspecified, Feb 5, 2024

I purchased this vehicle zero miles from Brickell Honda back in 2018. A couple of years ago, with only (Miles: 51070), I started to notice that the vehicle's velocity started to decrease all of the sudden when driving it on the roadways and highways. To me, it was extremely dangerous, specially driving the vehicle on the highways because one time another vehicle almost hit me from behind. One of the details about this issue, was the fact that all the lights on the dashboard were turned on, and I was unable to turn them off. On [XXX], I took the vehicle to Brickell Honda and service advisor named Miguel Diaz told me that the vehicle needed to be repaired (Fuel system cleaning), but was was unable to explain me the cause of the problem. On [XXX], I went back to Brickell Honda and paid ($1,798.00) to get my vehicle fixed. However, on 2023 I started to have the same symptoms with the vehicle as before but this time I took the vehicle to Hendrick Honda in South Carolina to be evaluated. I explained to Honda Advisor named Jeremy Mann that I got my vehicle repaired in Miami back in [XXX] and now it was having the same symptoms as before. Jeremy told me that I needed to pay ($3,503.70) to replace the cylinder head gasket. I explained to Jeremy that the symptoms were all the same as before, and he ignored it. I ended up paying Hendrick Honda ($3,142.44 ) to get it fix. On December 2023 I saw an article online about a recall, so I contacted American Honda Motors. I opened a case with them (Case # [XXX]) and explained to them my situation and how much I have spent to get my vehicle fixed. On [XXX], I received an email from American Honda Motors stating that the case was being closed and stating (No Campaigns are available under customer's VIN related to either repair). The symptoms that my vehicle was having were the same as it is mentioned in the 2023 fuel pump recall and American Honda didn't do anything to address the issue. 3. Steering, Fuel/propulsion system, Forward collision avoidance, Feb 2, 2024, crash

After this car was repaired by the body shop, all the automatic systems in the car started flashing and no one could figure out why. It went to four different repair shops over several months, till finally they convinced me to purchase another vehicle when this one was going to be paid off in two months. This problem was well documented by several repair places , and ultimately since it was unrepairable I had to trade it in and got bottom dollar for a non-running car that I owned since the beginning and got screwed.

  4. Fuel system, Gasoline, Feb 1, 2024

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle began to shake, after which the vehicle inadvertently lost motive power. The contact was able to coast to the shoulder of the roadway, where the vehicle was able to be restarted. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who determined there was a misfire in cylinder #3. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The VIN was included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 93,000.

  5. Air bags, Jan 30, 2024

On 01/27/2024 I went to Mungenast Saint Louis Honda because my SRS airbag lights keep coming on for passenger seat, I paid $89 for a diagnosis fee and found out that I was told there is a sensor malfunction that is causing this. I was told that if that light is in the airbags will not deploy during an accident. I asked them to replace this part for free, they refused stated vehicle out of warranty even though it’s a huge safety hazard and can cause a fatality if the airbags don’t deploy, advisor at dealer said not to drive the vehicle until this gets repaired. I feel it’s unfair Honda will not repair this for free with it being a safety issue.

  7. Fuel/propulsion system, Jan 29, 2024

Safety Issue: Excessive Emissions and Melted Catalytic Converter(environmental risk)/Fire Risk My car needs all new fuel injectors. If you read online, fuel injector issues are rampant on Honda vehicles. North City Honda in Chicago diagnosed the vehicle. The parts are on backorder. I called Honda of Grandville Michigan and they also have injectors on backorder. They told me they have 15 cars waiting on injectors, the longest has been waiting an estimated 90 days. This is further evidence the issue is rampant, greatly exceeding the manufacturer's demand plan for fuel injectors. The error codes state my car is running too rich (among others). A vehicle that is running too rich risks unburnt fuel entering the catalytic converter, where it can combust and melt the converter, causing further safety and environmental risk. The error message I'm receiving says "Emissions System Problem. Avoid heavy acceleration and high speeds. See your dealer". The error message in my HondaLink app says "The engine is not operating properly. Limit your driving and visit your dealer as soon as possible. If the indicator is blinking, stop in a safe place where there are no flammable objects. Turn off engine for 10 minutes or more to let it cool. Restart the engine. If the indicator continues to blink, immediately have your vehicle checked by a dealer." Honda's own message states there is a potential fire risk. Yet, if all the parts are backordered for 90+ days, potentially thousands of customers will be forced to continue driving on a risky vehicle.

101,848 miles on odometer. Blown head gasket. Numerous other 2018-2020 Honda Accords have same issue. Leaking damaged gasket causes car to lose power leading to potential safety issue.

While driving car cut off and smoke filled inside car. This could have caused a major accident and harm to myself and others. Had to have car towed to dealership for repair that should have not have happened for this age of car. I just had to pay out for a previous repair a few months before this.

  15. Fuel/propulsion system, Jan 17, 2024

Faulty Fuel Injectors has been a common problem with 10th Gen Honda for a lot of people, including myself. It starts off the same, all of the warning lights turn on in the dashboard randomly, we take it to the dealership and they say they need to replace the fuel injectors, with a estimate cost of $1,500+. How is that possible with low mileage cars? Even the lady who helped me at the Honda dealership told me that they should issue a recall for the fuel injectors because it is a common problem that so many people are experiencing across the nation. If you decide to have it replaced at the dealership, you have to wait months for the part to come in because there is so many orders for the same part. How has a recall not have been issued yet?! I looked online and this is a common problem that people have been having for years!

The contact stated that on two occasions while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was not able to be restarted. The vehicle was first towed to an independent mechanic where it was not able to be diagnosed. The vehicle was then towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 66,000.

  20. Service brakes, Jan 8, 2024

had vehicle in for a recall, they informed me that my rear brakes only had 10% wear left, but front brakes had 60%+. That seems very strange because most of the braking is handled by front brakes. Additionally, as I sat in the customer waiting area - different service advisors came into the waiting area to also inform 2 other Honda owners that their rear brakes also need to be replaced. My vehicle is driven mostly highway miles but when I further asked why the rear brakes would wear - they said, that happens sometimes with electronic parking brake cars. Note - I've never used the parking brake, but hearing them tell 2 other customers as I sat for over 5 hours in the waiting room seemed very strange and more an engineering flaw and potential safety issue.

  23. Fuel/propulsion system, Jan 5, 2024

I took my vehicle to Gregg Orr Honda in October when my dash lights were flashing again after having the fuel pump replaced in September. I was told that my fuel injectors needed to be replaced and that a fuel injector kit would be ordered. I have called several times since October, the last call placed in December of 2023 and I was told that the injectors are on back order and not sure when they will be in! What kind of customer service is this? Then he proceeds to tell me that he had ordered 7 fuel injector kits that week, I’m sure that a recall needs to be made on these fuel injectors as well because not everyone fuel injectors are going out at the same time.

  24. Engine, Fuel/propulsion system, Jan 3, 2024

Took my car for recall last week. Dealership isn't helping me. Spend so much money to fix something that's defecting parts of my engine. But dealership is ignoring me.
