The front passenger seat weight sensor may crack and short circuit, which can cause the air bags to deploy unintentionally during a crash.

Air bags that deploy unintentionally during a crash increase the risk of injury.

Dealers will replace the seat weight sensors, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 7, 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are BOL, WO9, OOA, WOM, XOH, NOC, POD, BOE, UOF, POB, EOG, AOI, QO8, TOJ, DO7, and SOK. This recall expands previous NHTSA recall number 24V064. 1. Engine, Fuel/propulsion system, Forward collision avoidance, Dec 30, 2023

Car would shake in the morning would wait till warmed. Immediately brought to Honda where I had a diagnostic completed approx. 9/3. Reports says head gasket. Car well taking care (maintenance) no reason for blown head gasket. Got a second opinion They had the car for a week. No warning lights, and did another diagnostic and nothing showed at the time. Brought the car home. After a few months waiting for warning sign or other signs it took a couple of few months for the engine light to come on and it slowed down and came to a stop. Had car towed to Honda. Called Honda corporate. After finding out they weren't going to cover the cost of $5000+ knowing this has absolutely nothing to do with the customer being negligent with car. I can not afford that kind of money and had it towed to the same mechanic where we are still waiting for the parts to come in from Honda factory and it's been in his possession for 2 weeks. I had to get a rental which Honda would not cover. There is no way that a car that is 5years old under 80,000 miles should have engine work unless it was not cared for properly. I have proof of continuous maintenance. I should not be held reliable for malfunction parts on the car and other Hondas are having the same issues. It was very dangerous and scary having the car shake when driving and not being abled to accelerate on the gas with no warning of any. I had it towed 2x to 3x waiting and praying that Honda will be responsible.

  3. Electrical system, Vehicle speed control, Fuel system, Gasoline, Dec 27, 2023

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at undisclosed speeds, the vehicle started jerking. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to move forward. There were several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that a spark plug was cracked. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the head gasket was cracked. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and opened a case, but no assistance was provided. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The failure mileage was approximately 112,000.

  4. Fuel/propulsion system, Dec 27, 2023

We were notified by carfax a couple of weeks ago that my 2018 accord had a recall on the fuel pump. I called my Honda dealership and they told me there was no recall. Then yesterday the nhtsa and the manufacturer updated their sites to confirm there actually was a recall. I called Honda today and the rep told me that there is no remedy yet and the nhtsa website states there's an increased risk of crash and injury. What is the allotted time the manufacturer is given to remedy this problem? Because now I'm not going to drive my car because I don't wanna die and leave my wife and kids behind.

  5. Forward collision avoidance, Fuel system, Diesel, Dec 25, 2023

My 2018 Honda Accord has not been able to drive properly the emergency brake signs has come on repeatedly stating it will not work , the car has decreased speed and ever since the recall notification came on Wednesday 12/20/2023 it does not drive anymore. I do have adequate fluids, gas etc however it will not drive. I called Honda Parkville in Maryland and was told there's nothing they can do. I would like to know what do I do next

  6. Fuel system, Gasoline, Dec 23, 2023

Hello We own a 2018 Honda Accord with the above VIN, It is in the group that will need a new fuel pump due to a recall. Today I called Autonation in Fremont CA where I go for service, The tech confirmed that the car will be in the recall group, He was not certain as to the timeline, We are now retired and the Honda is the only car we own, Husband does not drive and has many medical appointments due to multiple medical problems, I would appreciate if the car could be in the first batch of scheduled cars that will get the new fuel pump. In 2022, We had another model car (VW) and we had a combustion engine fire and the car burned, This was a terrible thing, I hope that with this in mind, the new fuel pump will be sent in a timely way, Please contact me at [XXX] , [XXX] , BTW, this Honda has been great! 8. Fuel system, Gasoline, Dec 18, 2023

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the fuel injectors. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V314000 (Fuel System, Gasoline), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 78,000.

  9. Other or unspecified, Dec 13, 2023

    Turbo stop working or intermittently

  10. Power train, Engine, Fuel/propulsion system, Dec 13, 2023

Fuel pump or injector has malfunctioned. It is has already been inspected by a Honda dealer. Safety at risk because there was a recall on the fuel system of Hondas in 2020. I purchased this vehicle in 2021 and was not made aware. The vehicle could stall and cause an accident. No other problem currently reported on the vehicle. I was just sitting in a parking space when the engine light came on.

  11. Electrical system, Engine, Dec 9, 2023

The vehicle has been giving a check engine light and a litany of other warning lights including: electric power steering system problem, brake system problem, forward collision mitigation braking system problem, tire pressure monitoring system problem, adaptive cruise control system problem, traction control system problem. This issue happened intermittently at first including the warning lights, then constantly beginning about 3 weeks ago. The check engine light produced a P0304 code indicating a misfire on cylinder 4. The vehicle on cold start would idle rough indicating the misfire and idle at a higher RPM than normal. The vehicle would return to idling normally after approximately 15 minutes of warming up however all the lights would stay on. The vehicle felt like it was down on power, was running rough, and could go into limp mode at any time while the issue was present and significantly reduced the driveability and all of these other warning lights were on indicating potential problems with those systems. I had the vehicle inspected by a Honda dealership and two different master technicians have diagnosed it as a fuel injector issue, although they thought it could have been a head gasket issue as well and in fact have not ruled that out entirely at this point. This is a known issue with this vehicle shown by AHM putting out a request for parts from 2018-2019 1.5 Liter engine Accords affected by a P030X (Cylinder 1,2,3, or 4 misfire) code back in April.

  12. Electrical system, Dec 5, 2023

Center display system that controls all audio and visual for GPS, and system controls abruptly will shut off and create a loud crackling sound in the speakers. The not working for hours or days.

  13. Electrical system, Other or unspecified, Engine, Dec 4, 2023

Began getting several alerts, when taken in to get a diagnosis I received the following error codes P0301, P0304, P0301, P0300, U0401-68 & U3003-16. These codes stated that I had Cylinder 1 Misfire, Cylinder 4 Misfire as well as Random Misfire and ECM Failure and Electric Parking Brake Control Unit Power Source Circuit Low Voltage. The misfires were taken care of with new ignition coils and spark plugs; however, 2 days later alerts came back on at that point replaced battery. A few days after that the alerts again came back on. The dealership has not helped me out much simply saying I am no longer under warranty. However, I feel this vehicle is unsafe to drive as sometimes it feels as if it is just going to shut off. Therefore, this can possibly cause an accident injuring either. Others or myself.

  14. Seat belts, Dec 4, 2023

    Supplemental Restraint System Problem.

  15. Back over prevention, Dec 1, 2023

  16. Forward collision avoidance, Lane departure, Back over prevention, Nov 26, 2023

My Honda Accord 2018 with 49,000+ Mileage suddenly showed multiple warning lights on the dashboard. Honda Waldorf Maryland misdiagnosed that it was definitely the 2 Rear Calipers, but this DID NOT solve the problem after replacements. After about 3 days, they told me that it was the MODULE that was actually malfunctioning but I can no longer refuse because my car has been there for several days and it's only the Honda that can fix this as the service rep stated. On the other hand, I checked Honda website and called them that there are recalls on the Honda Accord 2018 - 2020 Modules. Unfortunately, my VIN is not included even it clearly states that Honda Accord 2018 is included. Please see attachements.

  17. Forward collision avoidance, Lane departure, Back over prevention, Nov 26, 2023

My Honda Accord 2018 with 49,000+ Mileage suddenly showed multiple warning lights on the dashboard causing Parking Break to malfunction; ACC, Collision Assist malfunctions and many other warning lights appeared. I brought it to Honda Waldorf Maryland and they told me it was definitely the 2 Rear Calipers as they diagnosed, but this DID NOT solve the problem after replacements. After about 3 days with my vehicle still with them, they told me that it was the Module that is malfunctioning; I can no longer refuse them because my car has been there for several days and it's only the Honda that can fix this as the service rep stated and I really need my car. On the other hand, I checked Honda website and called them that there are recalls on the Honda Accord 2018 - 2020 Modules. Unfortunately, my VIN is not included even it clearly states that Honda Accord 2018 is included as stated on their website (see attachments).

  18. Structure, Nov 25, 2023

2018 Honda Accord has a poor fitting hood. The issue is not unique to Accords. On Honda Pilots around the same year, supposedly a "fix" was issued where some sort of a tape was used to stabilize the hood. At highway speeds, the hood experiences visible deflection/vibration-like movement. Yes, the stop towers and the latch have been checked and adjusted by a qualified body shop, who, essentially, indicated that there is nothing else that can be done.

  19. Service brakes, Nov 25, 2023

In the 2018 Honda Accord the "Brake Hold" system will, at times, allow the vehicle to keep creeping forward after the vehicle is brought to a full stop with the Brake Hold system engaged. This is one of the issue which Honda has failed to properly troubleshoot to this day.

  20. Other or unspecified, Nov 24, 2023

This is a complaint for a unique occurrence of this problem on this date. In some instances, it seems that the ventilation system is potentially pulling noxious fumes in from the engine bay and in others, there seems to be an issue with moisture retention when AC is run. The vehicle forces foul smelling air in to the cab. Honda has failed to properly troubleshoot the issue(i.e. retain the vehicle for more than a few hours and try to understand if there is an issue with the ventilation system or something else). The issue has happened at 52305 and 52474 miles (as well as other instances).

  21. Electrical system, Other or unspecified, Nov 24, 2023

The infotainment unit on the 2018 Honda Accord does not properly sync up with a music player on the phone over Bluetooth. This is manifested by the incorrect display of the time the music track that has been played. This happens periodically. At other times, the music player on the infotainment unit does not respond to the tracks been switched from the controls on the steering wheel or the touch screen. A video of the behavior is available. Additionally, he infotainment unit does not display the album art for the music which is being played. This feature used to work, until the phone update. Which indicates that the infotainment unit does not properly work with newer Bluetooth protocols. Upon an attempt to troubleshoot the issue, based on the information here: [XXX] [XXX] I was able to restore only the track information being displayed, but not the album art. This is troubling as this would indicated that Honda has built in infotainment units without a seeming path to upgrade them during the life of the vehicle. Honda has been unwilling to properly address the issue via a recall or a software update. Their typical response (to just about every issue) is to take it to the dealer, who is not able to properly troubleshoot and address issues which were caused by the Honda's failures in software (and hardware) development. A video of the issue is available (Honda dealer and Honda pretty much refuse to take the videos as an evidence of the issue). INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

  22. Other or unspecified, Nov 24, 2023

The vehicle's safety system (not sure if it's the camera mounted behind the windshield or something else) will periodically interpret a road speed sign as showing 100mph speed limit. This has happened before and will have happened again (I am filing this complaint after some time has passed). As with a number of other issue with the 2018+ Honda models, Honda's response has been "take it to the dealer" while the dealer's mechanic drives the car for an hour, does not see the issue and then claims that nothing is wrong with the vehicle. A picture is attached.

  23. Power train, Nov 24, 2023

Intermittently, the vehicle has a very violent shift at low speed (under 20 miles per hour). In the past, this had been mentioned to the dealer, numerous times, who claimed that the issue is not reproducible. However, during the visit on 12/06/2022, dealer mechanic(s) claimed that they did witness the issue and performed the following (per dealer's notes): "reset TCM and Batter cable reset." After which (the dealer notes state): "Let the customer know that the trans will adapt to driving habits within 200 miles. If the customer drives hard, the transmission will learn hard to shift hard etc..." The second statement is nonsensical, since, most of the time the transmission shifts relatively fine, regardless of the driving pattern (i.e. hard, mellow, etc.) and the issue happens intermittently (every so many hundreds miles driven), at very low speeds with very little accelerator input, which indicates more of a software issue (and, possibly a mechanical design defect, coupled with the SW issue). There are now other customers with, what sound like, a very similar problem: [XXX] Just as with my vehicle, other dealers are claiming "there is no issue" and Honda has ignored the issues. Honda has a history of transmission problems from the 2000s and it's really worrying that they might be repeating that pattern with 2018-on models: [XXX] While I am noting the issue at this mileage, there are numerous other instances of where the same problem occurred: at 46888, 47062, 47198, 47473, 47525, 47647, 52427, 52433 (so back to back), 52564, 53655, 53723 miles. At around 53494 mi had the car checked again by the dealer, who claimed no issue this time. The violent manner in which these shifts happen, makes one wonder how much mechanical damage is being done to the transmission and if a recall should be issued. 24. Service brakes, Fuel/propulsion system, Nov 9, 2023

While driving on highway, I had to break fast to avoid collision. immediately after breaking all the lights in the car lit like a Christmas tree and had the following message “Emission System problem. Avoid heavy acceleration and high speed. See your dealer” I went to the nearest dealer service center and they recommended that I drive vehicle for ten minutes and see if it goes away. If it did not they asked to go back. I drove the car once again in the freeway and It seem to drive okay but then it suddenly shook a lot when pressing gas pedal and it did not accelerate. I used emergency lights and took first exit. Luckily there was a dealer within a couple of miles. Honda’s service center technician stated after running the rough computer that it could be multiple things wrong with car but most likely the issue was the fuel pump and faulty emergency light switch. I was driving back home from school break and still had a 5 hour drive to get home. The cost to fix both issues was estimated at over $1800, my dad opted to get pump replaced (@ over $1300) since this was since most likely will get me on the road again based on conversation he had with technician. Technician also did not guarantee that this would solve the issue since there were many codes activated and would only clear codes after servicing vehicle and go from there.
