  1. Wheels, Aug 3, 2022

Around February of 2022 I noticed air started leaking from my driver's side front tire. When I took it to be looked at, I was told the rim was cracked and that's why the tire leaked air and began running flat. I bought a new rim and had no further issue with that wheel. Now as of the beginning of June, I noticed it happening again but on the front passenger side wheel. I took it to a tire repair shop who submerged the tire in water but found no leak. They replaced a valve, filled the tire with air and a week later it was completely flat again. I was told by a local mechanic that cracked rims are a common occurrence on this model year vehicle but I have seen no recalls for this issue. I have contacted several salvage yards and independent repair shops to get another replacement rim for the passenger side wheel but rims are either unavailable or extremely expensive. I am forced to use the donut tire on my vehicle which is not as safe as having a full size tire and proper rim on my vehicle. Honda needs to investigate this issue and fix it.

  2. Visibility/wiper, Aug 1, 2022

Windshield wipers randomly do not turn on. There is no warning of malfunction I turned them on in rain and they would not start. This could potentially cause an accident in heavy rain. After a few minutes they worked. This has happened 3 times. I looked on internet and there are other Honda CRV owners experiencing similar issue.

  3. Lane departure, Forward collision avoidance, Jul 14, 2022

Check CMBS,brake System Light& brake assist lights are on when going through construction area.Happens in construction area a number of times. Dealers have to reset at no cost. The last time on July 6,2022 I was charged $94.56 to reset! Walser Honda invoice 387637.

  4. Engine, Jul 1, 2022

Our well maintained crv suddenly began to make loud noises and stall while driving. No engine/warning lights illuminated. The low mileage CRV (60k) was immediately taken to a Honda dealership. It needed a complete engine replacement. The cause was not identified. Honda failed to make it right and acknowledge the problem. The car has also stalled while in reverse and vibrates when stopped.

  5. Fuel/propulsion system, Jul 1, 2022

I was driving on busy street at 35 mph suddenly car start stopping and giving jerk . It was not safe as I was driving my new born girl and 6 years old girl suddenly car loss power in motion took to honda dealer nearby they just told me my car high pressure fuel pump failed and it need to be replaced. The car is well maintained with regular oil changes I don't know why such critical part of car failed I don't feel safe anymore in this car

  6. Engine and engine cooling, Jun 13, 2022, fire

The contact owned a 2015 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that after she made a right turn into a parking lot, the vehicle shut off while driving up an incline(speed unknown) without warning. The contact placed that vehicle into neutral and attempted to restart the vehicle but each attempt failed. White smoke began to emit from the hood of the vehicle and an off-duty firefighter came to her assistance with a fire extinguisher; however, the smoke turned black as flames began to emit from the engine. The fire department was called to the scene and the fire was eventually extinguished. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it remained in their possession. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. Upon investigation, the contact linked her failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V121000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). The vehicle was destroyed. The failure mileage was approximately 73,000.

  7. Steering, Seats, Structure, May 20, 2022

The contact owns a 2015 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while the vehicle was either idle or while driving at various speeds, the steering wheel, seats, and dashboard all would sporadically start to vibrate. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer who advised him that they did not recognize the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that while conducting his own research, he found there were many complaints about what he was experiencing with his vehicle. The manufacturer was notified about the failure and advised that he contact the NHTSA for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 30,100.

  8. Electrical system, Vehicle speed control, Engine, May 10, 2022

I noticed the car shook at first in park or at a light. I made Honda aware 1 month in at 25K miles and was told it was a common flaw with my year make and model and there was nothing to be done. It progressed over 1 year into vigarously shaking while in reverse. I was driving on the road and my car completely cut off on me without warning. It would restart, the ac blew hot, then cut back off. I was almost hit from behind while traffic kept going. I got out of the car for safety to have it towed to the Honda dealership. While off the tow, the car started back up again and went into drive. However, the check engine light was still on and the shaking was still ongoing. Honda told me they cleared the codes and could find nothing wrong. I made them keep the car. It has now been two week. After about 5 days they told me a list of the following problems: 1.engine harnes1.engine harness had s had corrosion due to coolant leakage 2.speed sensor and both transmission warmer coolant hoses with clamps needed repair 3. Transmission side mount 4. Evaporator canister vent shut valve stuck closed 5. front engine mount is collapsed My warranty company refused to repair issue #1 and #2 due to the corrosion. Honda charged me $1800 to repair the problem. The service manager mentioned in a phone call that my car was salvage while reading an email from his district manager. I can not find out if this is in fact true and the sold me a certified pre owned care under false pretenses. I want to make others aware.

  9. Engine, Apr 18, 2022

For the past 4 months, we have had intermittent starting issues with our 2015 Honda CRV. It takes numerous times to start the car. I have researched this issue online and it appears to be a widespread problem amongst thousands of Honda owners. It usually requires significant costs to repair the issue ($600-1,000). I have called Honda directly and they are of no use and will not help. This appears to be a huge issue and It appears Honda would rather sweep this under the rug and not recognize this as a widespread issue. We need someone to begin a formal inquiry into this intolerable situation because it is a safety issue when you can’t start your car in the winter or at night miles from home or in a different state. Thank you for your interest.

  10. Structure, Other or unspecified, Apr 5, 2022

While driving during clear weather and around no highway overpasses, the sunroof on our Honda CRV spontaneously shattered. No evidence of an object or projectile were found.

  11. Engine, Mar 31, 2022

The contact owns a 2015 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving approximately 25 MPH downhill, the RPM increased while depressing the brake pedal. The failure occurred consistently while driving downhill. There were no warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 88,000.

  12. Power train, Mar 22, 2022

no engine light, honda dealer misdiagnosed the issue and told me the car was safe to drive. I broke down and then was told I needed a new transmission, there is only 87k miles on it

  13. Engine, Mar 3, 2022

On August 1, 2021 and again on February 26, 2022 I had major issues with transmission slipping gears and my 2015 Honda CR-V stalling out on an incline while driving home. This was very dangerous and nearly caused an accident. I had my 8 year old son in the back as well and many cars almost rear-ended me both times. Additionally, i experience VERY rough idling and extremely rough gear changes which lead me to believe there is an issue with my car's transmission, specifically with the CVT system on this car. It continues to feel VERY unsafe and unreliable as i drive it and i am very worried about my safety and the longevity of my cars ability to continue running.

  14. Power train, Feb 7, 2022

This vehicle shakes pretty badly at idle. We took it to Honda for repairs, there is no recall for this but they did have a service bulletin for the issue. They replaced the headrest and two mounts, one was for the transmission and the other I think was for the condenser unit and recalibrated the idle. The car did improve although the shaking was still there at idle. This was done in October and in the last two weeks the problem has gotten worse then when we first took it to Honda. The car shakes very badly and doesn't feel safe for my kids. I have resorted to putting the vehicle in Neutral at stop lights which helps.

  15. Power train, Engine, Fuel/propulsion system, Jan 16, 2022

Purchased used at 64,000 miles. Second day of ownership/operation vehicle began stalling while in operation on the road. This happened when coming to a stop, when accelerating from a stop and while at high speeds on the highway. I am not sure if th problem is caused by drivetrain, fuel delivery, engine, or electrical issues.

  16. Air bags, Jan 6, 2022

When I went in for maintenance, I was told that the front airbags would not deploy. In the event of a car accident, the airbags cannot be popped. I know some cars were recalled in 2016 for airbag issues, should I be treated reasonably as well since my car has the same issue.

  17. Electrical system, Engine, Dec 16, 2021

Starter motor failed at 40000 miles.Unable to start car on road at night. Dealer replaced $900.

  18. Air bags, Oct 29, 2021, crash

Vehicle collided with a deer at 65 mph. The passenger side front air bag deployed but the driver airbag did not deploy.

  19. Electrical system, Oct 22, 2021

The contact owns a 2015 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle would not start. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000.

  20. Electrical system, Other or unspecified, Engine, Oct 8, 2021

In June 2016, my Honda CR-V 2015 broke down, lost all power, and stopped working in the middle of the road. The vehicle was towed to a Honda Dealership - Diamond Bar, CA. The Honda Mechanic diagnosed a P2138, did not solve the problem, and sent me home. The vehicle broke down once again, only for them to claim again that they could not recreate the problem. The vehicle had 12,000 miles on it at this time. I filed a complained with the NHTSA at this time. In September 2017, my Honda CR-V broke down again, lost all power, and stopped working in the middle of the road. The vehicle was towed to a Honda Dealership - Alhambra, CA. The Honda Mechanic diagnosed a P2647 and fixed the issue. The vehicle had 35,000 miles on it at this time. Now, in August 2021, my Honda CR-V broke down again, lost all power, and stopped working in the middle of the road. The vehicle was driven to a local mechanic, where he diagnosed the car to have 4 OBII codes and recommended taking it to a Honda. I took it to a Honda Dealership - Buena Park, CA. The Honda Mechanic diagnosed a P2128 only, said they don't take recommendations from other mechanics, and replaced in the APP Sensor and gas pedal. The vehicle had 83,000 miles on it at this time. Only 1 week later, My Honda CR-V broke down again, lost all power, and stopped working in the middle of the road. My ODII code diagnosed the issue as a P2138 - the exact same code diagnosed and not fixed by Honda - Diamond Bar, CA back in 2016. When I called Honda Buena Park about the car breaking down again, they stated they will charge me another $150 diagnosis fee to look at it again. The above codes have the same issues over and over again, and I believe this vehicle should have a recall with no individual/franchise dealership willing to bite the bullet, looking to yank customer's chains to make the most amount of money for simple fixes. Thank you

  21. Electrical system, Other or unspecified, Sep 28, 2021

Car won’t start just clicks. Read that this could be related to an engine recall that I had fixed by Honda.

  22. Other or unspecified, Sep 26, 2021

The car going uphill started stuttering then started losing speed. When hitting the gas its wouldn't do anything til car came to a complete stop, the gas wouldn't do anything. So we powered the car off and on again and then it worked. Until later that day while trying to accelerate the car again started stuttering losing speed and wouldn't respond to anything to make it go. Until we turned the car back off then on again. The car has also been thru 5 batteries in 5 years.

  23. Electrical system, Sep 4, 2021

*Draining new battery *Only 22,000 miles on this vehicle and have replaced Alternator, Fuses, Starter, 3 Batteries in 5 years of having this vehicle. Now its parked again cause electrical is making battery dead. *Manufacturer does not know what it can be. *No check engine code pops up. Please check for recall on my 2015 Honda CR-V. I have read there is a Lawsuit on this issue. Why isn't there a recall so my dealership can fix or replace. Wasting lots of money on this issue they can not find.

  24. Fuel/propulsion system, Aug 31, 2021

I was driving home and my car went into limp mode in the middle of the freeway. Not sure why my car downshifted and wouldn’t accelerate over 20mph or over 2500rpm. I thought my transmission went out, I was lucky to find a pull off, I shut my car off and then back on to see if I could get to an off ramp and the problem persisted. I had my vehicle towed to my mechanic, the problem was diagnosed and my mechanic said specifically that he has only seen this problem with cars that had faulty fuel pumps that were recalled, my year was not part of the recall, but my make and model was, but only different years. He advised me to report it because of how specific the problem was to the recall of newer models.

  25. Fuel system, Gasoline, Aug 31, 2021

The contact owns a 2015 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, the vehicle abruptly switched to limp mode and the vehicle was unable to exceed 20 MPH. The contact was able to move onto the road shoulder and had the vehicle towed to the mechanic. The mechanic performed a diagnostic test that located the failure code at the fuel pump. The fuel pump was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V215000 (Fuel System Gasoline). The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage is 75,065.
