Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Acura Integra, Civic Type R, CR-V Hybrid, CR-V, HR-V, 2022-2025 Civic, Civic Hatchback, 2024-2025 Acura Integra Type S, 2025 CR-V Fuel Cell EV, Civic Hybrid, and Civic Hatchback Hybrid vehicles. The steering gearbox assembly may have been manufactured incorrectly, which can cause excessive internal friction and lead to difficulty steering the vehicle.
Difficulty steering can increase the risk of a crash.
Dealers will replace the worm gear spring and redistribute or add grease as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 18, 2024. Owners may contact Honda Customer Service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are SJS, MJU, QJT and VJV.

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2013-2023 Honda Accord, Civic Coupe, Civic Sedan, Civic Hatchback, Civic Type R, CR-V, HR-V, Ridgeline, Odyssey, Acura ILX, MDX, MDX Hybrid, RDX, RLX, TLX, 2019-2022 Honda Insight, Passport, 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid, 2018-2019 Honda Clarity PHEV, Fit, and 2015-2020 Honda Accord Hybrid, Pilot, Acura NSX vehicles. The fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail.
Fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will replace the fuel pump module, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed September 6, 2024. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are KGC and KGD. This recall is an expansion of NHTSA recall numbers 21V-215 and 20V-314.

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023 CR-V vehicles. The front passenger seat back frame may not have been welded properly, which can cause the seat back position to fail in the event of a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 207, "Seating Systems" and 201, "Occupant Protection in Interior Impact."
A seat back position that fails may not adequately restrain the occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Dealers will replace the front passenger seat back frame assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 27, 2023. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is 6PK.

While driving on a clear day on a relatively flat straight road the CMBS activated and applied the brakes abruptly. There we no objects in the road when the brake light appeared and the car abruptly applied the brakes. There were no apparent conditions that would warrant this action. This issue has only occurred once and the dealer has not yet inspected the car since this incident.

I am really going through a very rough patch after buying the Honda CRV in May end 2023 EX-L model , 23/HONDA/CR-V/ AWD EX-L : Warnings Concerns / VIN: [XXX] . Following up from the 3 -month , I purchased the vehicle , but no respite from Honda Dealer & Honda Company, even filed the case with American Honda : Case # [XXX] but they are not providing any solution and referring to Honda dealer and Honda dealer referring to Honda company and I m missed as no body is taking the responsibility. I am seeing an unwanted warning, when I unpark my car, and there is no resolution at the Honda dealer and Honda company itself. warnings which abruptly came when my new Honda CRV got unparked . Details as below "LKAS: lane keeping assist system problem. See your dealer.". "road departure mitigation system problem. See your dealer.", Please help me to reolve this issue, If we paid out what is the intended price, but we are not getting the benefits/comfort what is expected and causing us the multiple trips to Honda showroom and mental agony giving me sleepless nights, if I spend too much for a new vehicle, still getting these kind of discomfort and uneasiness. It seems that customers should be compensated for all these unnecessary troubles and unwanted warnings giving an illusion which makes the driver unformatable which can lead to accidents. The contact owns a 2023 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while parked, the contact noticed an oil leak. The contact stated that the vehicle was consuming an excessive amount of engine oil. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The vehicle was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the oil pan needed to be replaced. The oil pan was replaced. The failure reoccurred and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer where they replaced the oil pan again along with the crank case. The failure recurred and the remained with the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximate 3,950.

I was pulling into a parking space at my work parking lot, where I have been parking my car for the past 2.5 years. I was slowly parking the CRV, my foot was not applying any pressure on the gas, I was slowly easing into the parking space and as I was putting my foot on the brake to stop, it was very hard as if it was locked and the car kept going. I couldn't stop the SUV and it jumped the curb/went over the plants and crashed into a building/shattering glasses , frames, furniture and appliances as it hit the wall beam and stopped. to The Honda emergency brake system did not activate to stop the vehicle. I had no control of the vehicle as I frantically tried to brake- it was locked. I have reported a claim to State Farm insurance company and to Honda Claims. The Auburn, CA police came to the scene and completed a report. Honda just took the facts of loss and did not conduct any investigation. My insurance company has yet to inspect the vehicle or transfer the vehicle to a Honda dealership to rule out manufacturer defect.It is sitting at their preferred shop Caliber Collision of Rocklin, for the damage to be assessed.

On August 15, 2023, the rear windshield on my 2023 Honda CRV Hybrid Sport Touring spontaneously shattered while parked in the garage. The shattered glass was primarily contained within the rear storage area, but also on the garage floor. After consulting with the dealer, I drove it to the dealership (Apple Tree Honda in Fletcher, NC) where it was examined by the service manager. There were no symptoms of failure prior to the spontaneous shattering. Resolution pending at this date.

Date of Accident: Wednesday, August 8th 2023 Time of Accident: 12:33PM Location of Accident: Intersection of 22nd St & Camelback Rd (in front of my office) in Phoenix, Arizona Phoenix Police Responding Officer: [XXX] #[XXX] Incident/Accident Report #: [XXX] Geico Claim Number: [XXX] Assigned Adjuster from Geico: [XXX] [XXX] I was t-boned and injured by a red light runner driving recklessly on Camelback Road headed east. He hit me in the intersection. My airbags did not deploy, his did. I am a very cautious/mindful driver. I was always scared of this, as our state is the worst for red light runners. I was diagnosed with a concussion and cervical sprain. I have severe pain on the right side of my neck. I was in shock and felt immediate burning/pinching sensation. After the accident I was woozy, had vertigo, nauseous, have had a migraine since the crash and severe anxiety/panic and barely any sleep and no appetite. The crash and what happened after keeps replaying in my head. I'm having nightmares of being hit and my airbags not going off and my neck snapping and paralyzing me. Due to my concussion, I am still having some cognitive issues with speech, sensitivity to light, short-term memory, and emotional regulation. My anxiety has been skyrocketing. Mr. [XXX] and I both have Geico automobile policies. Geico found Mr. [XXX] 100% at fault during their investigation. I also wanted to include that a witness (man) was trying to break into my car, hitting my window after I was hit, while I was sitting and crying in the middle of the intersection with my seat belt still on. Him and a friend were screaming at me to move, and cussing me out. The 911 operator asked what was going on and told me not to move and let the fire department come. It was so scary. I am severely traumatized. The nightmares won't stop, I am starting therapy this week to address. Please help me. Vehicle had sudden clunking noise near right front tire when being driven. Vehicle had TPMS light on. Vehicle has never been in a car accident, never has hit a bump at a high speed, and has never been crashed into anything. I was alarmed and scared of the sudden loud clunking noise. I took it immediately to the Norm Reeves Honda Center to get vehicle inspected. As I drove it to the Honda Center I drove slow and with precaution in fear of the car malfunctioning on the road. The vehicle was inspected by service department and confirmed that there was an faulty issue and the vehicle must stayed from 8/12/2023 to 8/14/2023 for repairs. I received a call from Honda Center and they informed me that the vehicle had the following issue. “Right front sway link nut loose during inspection & found tire pressure was uneven”. Inspector reported that the loose nut issue came from factory and that it was indeed a faulty sway link. Honda Center did the following to repair the issue, “Retighten nut & reset tire pressure to factory specs” I now have picked up vehicle from Honda Center and the TPMS light reappeared once again. I still feel uneasy driving the vehicle. I feel uneasy knowing that my vehicle had a faulty sway link and could have potentially caused me to loose control of the steering wheel, flip/roll over and killed/injured me and/or others in a car accident. I am fearful that the nut from the sway link can loosen up again and put me at risk of danger once again.

The hood appears to flex when you reach speeds greater than 40mph. Took it to honda and it appears that the weld joints already broke loose. So were the outside hood is welded to the internal frame of the hood, it has come loose at all 15+ joints and is now rusted. Honda is working with me to determine next steps but I have read online that this appears to be a larger issue. Many users are experiencing this problem

The driver's side mirror has a distorted image. The mirror also vibrates at high speeds. The vibration appears to be in the mirror glass, rather than the mirror housing. The distorted image and the vibration makes it very disorienting, distracting, and dangerous to drive the vehicle. Passenger side mirror appears to not be impacted. December 2022 two weeks after I leased the vehicle from Roush Honda, due to severe cold weather the driver side mirror cracked and I immediately reported to the dealer with photos via email communication. For 4 months I drove the car unsafely unable to use the driver side mirror, this caused anxiety, stress and dangerous especially merging on the free way and change left late. 4 months after, in April 2023 The dealer replaced the mirror to make the situation worse, and I reported immediately to the dealer. I have also communicated to the dealer management about this safety and endangerment via emails. Since April 2023 to present, while driving, the driver side mirror constantly vibrates, changes positions by itself, it is not adjustable electronically, and it is unstable. My wife and I operated and operate the vehicle over 7 months (December 2022 to present) without the ability to use driver side mirror, which caused and causes stress, anxiety and safely concerns especially merging on the free away and changing left lane. On multiple incidents almost got into terrible fetal accidents with semitrucks on the freeway caused by this unstable and un-adjustable driver side mirror. It is been unsafe over 7 months, endangering myself and my family (wife and 2 kids). Not even once, the dealer offered me rental car while they are trying to fix this dangerous issue. Please do investigate the documentations the proof is there. I am reporting this so no one or family has to go through this endangerment. The pain and suffering from this unsafe driving situation are heavy and continuous. Thanks for your help.

Brand new Honda CR-V 20223. 2 safety issues were observed: vibrating hood and vibrating driver side rear mirror. Both were confirmed by Honda representative on 5/18/2023. I have recorded footage of hood vibration. [1] For hood, when driving at highway speed (60+mph), hood visibly vibrated and vibration increased at higher speed. Dealership adjusted spacers and also found out the adhesives between the hood plate and the hood frame were not sufficient. It could have popped open during highway most likely lead to immediate fatal crash. [2] For mirror, when driving at highway speed (60+mph), driver-side rear mirror visibly vibrates and vibration increases at higher speed. Passenger-side rear mirror is perfectly fine. Dealership and Honda replaced the complete rear mirror once. The issue remains the same. Vibration over time will pop the mirror off, losing visibility impairing safety driving. Honda as of the time of this complaint 7/21/2023 stated verbally and repeatedly to me (and they recorded the phone call) that they will NOT replace or DO ANYTHING about this vibrating mirror, and that I as the consumer who paid for a brand new car will just have to accept and live with it. Honda basically on the record states that they refuse to do anything about this vibrating mirror. Both issues have been reported by others to my knowledge. Yet Honda refuses to take accountability to do the right thing.

The contact owns a 2023 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at slow speeds, the contact slowly entered a parking space; however, as she removed her foot from the accelerator pedal to depress the brake pedal, the vehicle lunged forward. The contact stated that she abruptly depressed the brake pedal to stop the vehicle. As a result, the front of the vehicle front swiped two parking post. The contact stated that there was no damage to the vehicle. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the cause of the failure could not be determined. The contact was then advised by the independent mechanic to contact the NHTSA Hotline. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.

I was driving on a rainy day about 10 am. I was driving about 35 mph when the car suddenly braked for several seconds for no apparent reason. Then everything went back to normal driving. This could of caused an accident had somone been driving close behind me.

On 7/12/23 passenger side front door would not close after multiple attempts. I unlocked the doors from the driver side to allow my son in. He tried closing the door multiple times once he got in. I ensured nothing was blocking the door, and it still wouldn’t close. I pulled on the inside handle and tried closing it again. This time it did and I haven’t been able to replicate it again. I plan on having it inspected by the dealership

Check engine warnings 2 times with less than 4300 miles on the car. First one, called a dealer and was told a recall due to wrong software loaded into the car. Back to the shop today for the same warning. Waiting for results. Since the first warning, maybe 20% of the time, very rough engine start when the gas motor engages. Dealer said was fine the first time.

My car's emergency brake failed to work and my car's rear slid downhill into a 90 degree angle. The front passenger bumper of my car hit the front driver bumper of the car parked behind me. This happened while I was parallel parking in front of my home, which is on right side of a street with an uphill incline. I turned my car's front wheels away from the curb, which is why my car's rear spun into a 90 degree angle. There is a small driveway between my car and the car behind me, which is why my car had the space to spin and slide into 90 degree angle in the middle of the street. I could have sworn my car was shifted to park, but it's possible that I was shifted to reverse or neutral. I almost 100% sure that I initiated my emergency parking break and that it failed to turn on. I had started to exit the driver side door and my legs were outside of the car already when I noticed the car to slide backwards. I panicked and I tried to get back into the car, but I couldn't. My legs were dragged across the street. I have some minor injuries such as bumps, cuts and bruises. My car stopped from sliding when it hit the car behind me. I could have been seriously injured. There should have been some "fail safe" to prevent me from exiting the car when it's possible it could start to move. I'm considering selling my car because of this issue.

At approximately 9:30pm CST Saturday June 17th my 2023 Honda CRV Sport Touring has a rapid loss of power while travelling on the I-55 expressway in Illinois before the Weber Rd exit. Received critical engine failure error message and transmission failure error message. Final error was emission system error. Engine block was shaking severely - car could not move. Car towed to dealership where purchased, Valley Honda in Aurora IL. Has been with their service since then. They said piston was misfiring. They were talking about breaking down the engine but moved in a different engine. May need fuel injectors replaced - but shortage of those. Waiting for update, next step may be for me to meet with sales (hopefully for refund or buyback). Please contact me if you need additional information.

After attempting several times to close the liftgate with the key fob, the liftgate was manually closed by force. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the liftgate door need to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 4,275.

The hood on my 2023 Honda CRV moves up and down when traveling over the speed of 60 mph. I called my Honda dealership several times and have been told each time not to bring it in because it would be a waste of my time, and this is normal on this model to have a vibrating hood, due to design and use of light weighted metals. They went on to say, there is nothing Honda will do for this. It reminds me of seeing a sewing machine needle move up and down. Not only is it distraction, but I am concerned that one day the hood might pop open while driving, therefore creating multiple hazards.

Vehicle began hard braking using the collision avoidance system when there were no other vehicles or obstacles on the road. Then the vehicle safety systems (adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, collision mitigation braking system and road departure mitigation system and brake system) all began displaying warning messages. The car only has 1600 miles. The dealer inspected and states that the safety systems are not functioning because the camera failed. A replacement part will not be available for six weeks and the dealer indicated the vehicle was safe to drive with the error messages, but that in an accident none of the safety features would function. The dealer is unable to provide a reason for the failure, but suggested it could be due to heat. The dealer indicated there was the same vehicle type that experienced the same failure a few days earlier.
