  1. Power train, Vehicle speed control, Service brakes, Oct 5, 2025, crash

While pulling into parking lot jeep suddenly accelerated deployed brakes it would not stop. Hit pillar in front of store. Did considerable damage to build and vehicle.

  2. Air bags, Other or unspecified, Oct 4, 2025, crash

My husband was turning left from one highway to another highway when a car who was trying to pass multiple vehicles behind us hit us on drivers side as we were turning causing my 2021 Jeep to be pushed completely off the road and into a ditch where we hit a large pole/electrical pole. We hit the pole so hard that it moved it. Our air bags did not deploy at all. I got a notification on my Jeep app stating that there was airbag failure. My husband and my body were shook pretty bad from the incident and could have been seriously injured due to the impact. Our Jeep was towed to the body shop and they stated the gentleman working there told my husband that our airbags should have deployed.

  3. Electrical system, Sep 23, 2025

My 2021 Jeep wrangler (VIN: [XXX] ) experienced an instrument cluster failure. I took the jeep to the local Jeep dealer for maintenance and verified the instrument cluster (IC) needs to be replaced. This issue is present for other 2021 Jeep wranglers (same make/model) and there is an active recall for them (NHTSA ID: 21V949000). However, my Jeep is not currently listed under the recall but has the same exact issue and requires IC replacement. 4. Electrical system, Engine, Sep 22, 2025

Engine replacement in 2024 has caused constant errors and malfunctions to vehicle since. Vehicle under warranty and had been at dealership servicing for constant malfunctioning every 4-5 months since Feb of 2024.

2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, VIN [XXX] , Recall P0DAB-00 (Hybrid/EV Cell Balancing Performance Case #[XXX], Jeep corporate case manager Tiona. On 8/11/25, I brought my vehicle to Freeland Jeep, Antioch, TN for a separate issue and requested inspection for the open EV battery recall. The dealership gave a “green flag,” confirming no recall impact. On [XXX], the check engine light came on and the vehicle drove unsafely. On [XXX], the exact recall issue (P0DAB-00) was diagnosed — the same issue we asked to be inspected. Approval for hybrid battery replacement was granted; part was ordered for 9/3 with repair by 9/5 — repair never occurred. Service advisor Brian Astorga claimed the part “cannot be located.” Calls/emails to service manager David Beasley and case manager Tiona are unanswered. The timing is highly suspicious: the vehicle failed immediately after the “all clear” inspection, suggesting potential negligence or miscommunication. We are now more than 1 month without a vehicle, which is unsafe and unacceptable. AND we even had to argue with Jeep to cover a rental! Requested Action: Require Jeep to complete the recall repair immediately or initiate a full buyback. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

  6. Service brakes, Sep 14, 2025

Vehicle went in for repair of no power boost to brakes. Dealership replaced brake booster, no change. Dealership replaced vacuum pump, fixed issue. After 64 miles vacuum pump failed, no power brakes. Dealership replaced vacuum pump 2nd time said part was faulty from parts supplier. Problem was resolved. Around 100 miles later vacuum pump has failed for a 3rd time. Awaiting resolution.

  7. Tires, Sep 11, 2025

The tread on all 4 tires wore down faster than it should have, traction in the rain and snow was terrible, tire rotations were done at home, balancing was done at my local shop in town. I had the LT285/70r17 and replaced them as soon as the recall came out. I had the tires replaced at Moffits Ford in Boone, Iowa. They disposed of them there. I would like to know how to go about reimbursement for these tires I spent so much money on.

  8. Electrical system, Sep 5, 2025

The engine/power shut off while I was driving on the interstate (70mph). I had to use the remaining momentum to pull over to safety and get it towed to the dealer. It ended up the battery died, but I wasn’t notified in advance before this incident.

  10. Engine, Aug 28, 2025

I experienced an extreme coolant leak caused by the coolant inlet tube fasteners backing out and becoming loose. This is consistent with MOPAR recall CSN ZD8 for 2021-2022 Jeep Wrangler. My vin does not seem to be covered by this recall but experienced the same issue. I request that the VINs be extended to include my VIN. 11. Steering, Vehicle speed control, Wheels, Aug 24, 2025

While driving on a couple occasions the traction control light kicked in and wouldn’t allow me to turn I had to come to almost a complete stop, I thought it had gone away and a few days later I had a death wobble that occurred on a very busy hwy and had to pull into the middle lane to prevent an accident. I could not let go completely of the wheel but I also couldn’t really control the vehicle I had to stop it. I was not turning when this one happened I was going straight I had already turned and drove straight for a few minutes before it happened. I was able to drive a quarter of a mile to the auto repair shop where it is sitting. He told me himself it is very dangerous to drive it when that occurs.

ubject: Urgent Safety Concern – Jeep 4xe Battery Recall Repair Failure Hello, A few months ago, my Jeep 4xe was brought in for the battery recall. The dealer informed me that the issue was resolved, but did not provide any clear details on what exactly was done. On [XXX], while leaving the U.S. Bank and making a left turn, my Jeep suddenly stopped in the middle of the road with a warning message: “Hybrid battery failed, cannot maintain speed.” The vehicle then crawled forward at a snail’s pace, even though the engine was still running and my foot was fully on the throttle. Fortunately, there was no speeding car coming from my left—otherwise this could have caused a serious accident, injury, or even death. Eventually, I was able to pull over to the right side, but the Jeep completely stopped again, creating a major traffic backup with constant honking. I was in a panic trying to call for roadside assistance. After about 5–10 minutes, I restarted the Jeep, pressed the brakes, and it finally began moving again. This was an extremely dangerous and life-threatening situation. If it had occurred on the highway, the outcome could have been catastrophic. I am urgently requesting that you contact the dealer immediately to investigate what went wrong with the recall repair, and why the issue was not properly resolved. Please instruct them to take immediate action to permanently fix this problem—whether that requires replacing the faulty battery or addressing any other underlying issue. I need assurance that I can drive this vehicle with peace of mind, without fearing for my safety or the safety of others. Thank you for your prompt attention. I look forward to your quick response and resolution. Sincerely, [XXX] VIN No: [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Instrument Panel Cluster Failure Vehicle and incident details: Vehicle: Jeep (model year unknown) Date of failure: Evening of April 14, 2025 Symptoms: The instrument panel cluster went completely blank during a 25-mile drive far from home. Functionality lost: The ability to see speed, gas level, headlight status, and all alert lights. Prior warnings: No warning lights or alerts appeared before the failure. Repair status: The vehicle is at an authorized Jeep dealer, which has confirmed the issue is with the instrument panel cluster. Jeep has been notified and is working to replace the parts. Key event timeline: April 14, 2025: Instrument panel fails while driving. April 15, 2025: Car is taken to an authorized Jeep dealer for inspection. Post-inspection: Dealer informs the owner of the instrument panel cluster issue.

  14. Electrical system, Aug 12, 2025

Instrument Cluster Panel failure while driving. There was a recall for this part in many other jeeps in 2024, it’s time to throw another recall for this one as well. There are so many failures that the part is on backorder, my Jeep has been sitting at the dealership waiting for this part for 5 months now and there is still no expected date. My Jeep has been sitting on the lot waiting to be fixed for longer than I ever got to drive it after purchasing. Cant take it elsewhere because the odometer doesn’t function.

  15. Electrical system, Aug 6, 2025

Started Jeep dash lights did not function. Restarted Jeep and while driving noticed no compass reading & clock was incorrect. Both began to show proper readings in app 2 minutes. Checked all battery connections positive & ground on main battery. Second battery not accessible.Next day started Jeep clock off by several hours again. Corrected itself in a few minutes again. This occurred again a few days later. Fearful of short or battery issue that could shut down vehicle power while in motion or cause fire. Dealer replaced both batteries app 1 year ago & serviced Jeep with multi point inspection app 5 days before issues started.

  16. Electrical system, Jul 24, 2025

The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked and occupied at the residence, while attempting to charge the vehicle, the battery failed to charge. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V720000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); however, the recall repair failed to fix the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure occurred after the recall repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 73,000.

  17. Service brakes, Jul 22, 2025

I have a 2021 jeep wrangler and the brake hose went on the driver front side. Mopar product ID is 68307451AH. I have called numerous dealerships and Mopar themselves. They informed me this hose is on backorder for over 841 jeeps, and they are unable to get this across the US. Knowing how many jeeps are needing this hose, is it possible to get a recall on it due to the fact it is imperative to fix right away? I've been trying to find a replacement or an alternate but no luck. This is my only mode of transportation and don't want to keep driving my jeep as it continues to veer to the right due to the faulty hose I'm experiencing.

  18. Other or unspecified, Jul 22, 2025, fire

On 7/13/25, my 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with approximately 50,000 miles on it spontaneously caught fire as I was driving down the highway. The fire appeared to start in the engine compartment and very quickly moved to the entire front end of the vehicle. I pulled over on the side of the road and managed to safely exit the vehicle without physical injury. In minutes, the entire vehicle was consumed in flames. The fire department arrived within 10 minutes. When I departed the scene of the incident, fire fighters were still spraying water on the vehicle. After leaving the scene, I went to the hospital for psychological injury related to the incident. The investigation into the fire is currently underway. I do not have additional information about the cause or specific location of the fire. The vehicle is currently at a tow yard and is a total loss. It is nearly unrecognizable aside from the frame and a few components in the far rear. I am in the process of documenting all upgrades and modifications. Since it was fully built for off-roading and overlanding, it is a long and challenging task to take inventory of every part. Approximately 3 months before the incident, the vehicle was towed to a local CDJR dealership for a factory recall, where the entire fuel system was replaced. There were no other issues with the vehicle.

  19. Power train, Structure, Engine, Jul 18, 2025

It started with the engine sounding louder then normal. Then a bad smell in the cab of the vehicle. Later found out it was a exhaust leak that was getting into the vehicle causing headaches and other symptoms of carbon monoxide. Also note the burn marks around the broken bracket that could cause a fire if not mechanically inclined to notice. Not check engine light for this. But when I spoke to the dealership it wasn't new to them. Apparently this has happened to alot of the ecodiesel jeep and gladiators. A common problem that should be resolved before and life threatening injuries result in loss of consciousness or fire.

  20. Power train, Jul 18, 2025

    Timing chain tensioner gone bad

  21. Electrical system, Jul 16, 2025

Defrost system comes on randomly for approx 45 seconds after starting the vehicle regardless of whether or not climate control is on, and regardless of outside temperature, engine temperature or other settings in vehicle. After the 45 secs, climate control returns to whichever current setting is and continues to operate normally.

  22. Seat belts, Engine, Jul 16, 2025

From the moment I drove off the lot, I encountered problems. The battery light came on immediately, requiring a replacement within weeks. I returned to the original CarMax location for this service. However, this was only the beginning. Over time, I discovered the following: The driver seatbelt was not functioning properly The right rear passenger seatbelt buckle was completely missing The filters were filthy and had not been cleaned or replaced in well over a year, according to a trusted mechanic The engine may now require replacement at just 38,000 miles When I called CarMax to report the missing seatbelt buckle, I was incorrectly told that my vehicle was not under warranty. This was untrue — I was well within the warranty period at the time. Despite this, I was ignored, and the safety concern received no follow-up or correction. This points to either a falsified or negligent vehicle inspection at the time of sale. Your "125+ point inspection" failed to catch multiple clear safety hazards and wear issues — or worse, they were deliberately overlooked. What’s most disturbing is that I only discovered the missing seatbelt after my sister drove the vehicle with my [XXX] and [XXX] nephews in the backseat. One child had to sit in the middle because the rear right buckle was completely missing. That realization — that I unknowingly placed children at risk in a vehicle that your team labeled "safe" — is devastating. Now I’m being told that the engine may be failing — and it hasn’t even hit 40,000 miles. I was recently asked by the Southlake service team to provide oil change records, which I am willing to share. But let’s be clear: An oil change receipt does not explain why a newer engine is failing at this mileage — unless something much deeper is wrong. 23. Power train, Electrical system, Other or unspecified, Jul 10, 2025, crash

    1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The hybrid-electric system, including the high-voltage battery, battery pack control module (BPCM), and associated cooling systems, repeatedly malfunctioned. These failures caused loss of power while driving, electrical odors, and error messages. The vehicle is currently at the dealership for service and is available for inspection upon request. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The vehicle has lost power multiple times while in motion, including on city streets and highways. These unexpected power losses significantly increased the risk of rear-end collisions and limited my ability to safely accelerate or steer in traffic. I have had to take anxiety medication when driving the vehicle due to fear of these events recurring, and I am deeply concerned about the safety of my family, including a newborn passenger. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. The issues have been confirmed by an authorized Jeep dealership on multiple occasions. Despite several recall campaigns and attempted repairs, the same power loss and electrical system problems have recurred. Vehicle check engine light illuminated along with multiple other lights on the dashboard. It had a difficult time accelerating on its own, very sluggish. At the next light the gas pedal was just tapped and the vehicle began to over accelerate increasing to over 30 MPH in a turning lane while crossing an intersection. Avoided a car accident and pulled into the nearest parking lot. That was the second time that type of incident occurred. The first time, the vehicle was self accelerating during 5 o’clock traffic in Los Angeles. We had to constantly press on the brakes only to avoid accidents until we could exit the freeway.

⸻ Title: Loss of Power While Driving on Freeway – Dangerous Malfunction Similar to Recall 23V-116 Complaint Description: I am reporting a serious and dangerous malfunction with my 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon EcoDiesel. While driving on a high-speed freeway (70–80 MPH), all warning lights on the dashboard illuminated—including the check engine light—and the vehicle suddenly went into limp mode, resulting in a loss of power. This occurred in fast-moving traffic, putting me at immediate risk of a crash. This started happening again every time I got on the freeway for 10 minutes. I’ve owned this Jeep for about a year, have never taken it off-road, and have kept it properly maintained. All electrical components, fuses, and systems have been inspected, and no clear cause has been found. The problem persists and is clearly not due to driver use or negligence. This issue strongly resembles Recall Number 23V-116, which states that affected vehicles may experience a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. That recall was for 2021 Jeep Wrangler vehicles, the same model and year as mine. However, my VIN was not included, despite the fact that I’m experiencing the exact same symptoms described in the recall notice: “A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.” This issue began occurring shortly after that recall was issued, and it has happened multiple times, mostly during highway driving—making the vehicle extremely unsafe. I believe my vehicle should have been included in Recall 23V-116, as this is clearly a safety-related defect involving the powertrain or control module software. This is an urgent safety issue, and I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate why this VIN was excluded from the recall and consider expanding the recall to cover additional affected vehicles before someone gets seriously injured or worse.
