Electrical system, wiringMay 17, 2018
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2014-2018 Dodge Journey, Charger and Durango, RAM 2500, 3500, 3500 Cab Chassis (more than 10,000lb), 4500 Cab Chassis and 5500 Cab Chassis, Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee and Chrysler 300, 2014-2019 RAM 1500, 2015-2018 Dodge Challenger, 2015-2017 Chrysler 200, 2016-2018 RAM 3500 Cab Chassis (less than 10,000 lb), 2017-2018 Chrysler Pacifica and 2018 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. These vehicles are being recalled to address a defect that could prevent the cruise control system from disengaging. If, when using cruise control, there is a short circuit within the vehicle's wiring, the driver may not be able to shut off the cruise control either by depressing the brake pedal or manually turning the system off once it has been engaged, resulting in either the vehicle maintaining its current speed or possibly accelerating.
If the vehicle maintains its speed or accelerates despite attempts to deactivate the cruise control, there would be an increased risk of a crash.
Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the software, and perform a software flash on the engine or powertrain control module, free of charge. The recall began June 4, 2018. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Note: Owners are advised to stop using cruise control until the software update has been performed. Power train, automatic transmission, lever and linkage, column shiftDec 20, 2017
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2016-2017 Ram 3500 Cab Chassis with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of less than 10,000 lbs, 2011-2017 Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 Cab Chassis vehicles, 2009-2017 Ram 1500 and 2010-2017 Ram 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks, all equipped with a column shifter. Pushing the brake pedal for prolonged periods when the vehicle is running and in PARK may cause the Brake Transmission Shift Interlock (BTSI) pin to stick in the open position. With the pin in the open position, the transmission can be shifted out of PARK into any gear without pushing the brake pedal or having the key in the ignition.
Being able to shift the transmission without pushing the brake pedal and/or without a key in the ignition can increase the risk of an unintended vehicle rollaway that may result in personal injury or a crash.
Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will update the vehicle software, inspect the BTSI, and, as necessary, replace it, free of charge. The recall began February 26, 2018. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is T79.

Air bags, Service brakes, Jul 17, 2026
I am reporting a safety concern with my 2014 Ram 1500, which recently reached 100,000 miles. The ABS module has failed, and replacement parts are not available to repair this critical safety system. Many other Ram owners appear to be experiencing the same issue. Additionally, my airbag warning light is on, creating further concerns about vehicle safety. A failure of essential safety systems with no available repair solution is unacceptable. I urge Ram/Stellantis to make parts available and resolve this issue as soon as possible to ensure the safety of drivers and passengers.
Air bags, Fuel/propulsion system, Feb 27, 2026
1. Front fuel tank strap bracket has corroded and strap no longer attaches, my vehicle is available for inspection upon request. (appears this was a problem for 2009-2012 ram trucks) 2. If the tank falls, fuel will let loose with the opportunity for fire. 3. Yes, (independent service center). My mechanic wants me to ratchet strap the tank up to run the fuel low (because the tank will need to be dropped to repair/replace). He can't do the work. I need to contact a welding shop to weld new brackets to my truck frame. 4. No, there was no physical accident up to this point. The strap is hanging and unable to reattach because the frame bracket is rotted out. 5. No, just saw the strap hanging under the truck. (Additionally, my truck doesn't come up as having a current recall for airbags but i have the airbag light on the dash. I see NHTSA recall #'s 17V302000, 16EO41000, 15V534000 and 15V460000 all apply to airbags with my trucks year)
Electrical system, Air bags, Vehicle speed control, Feb 21, 2026
There was a previous recall for my vehicle July 21, 2015 R36 15V•459. The recall was handled at the dealership to fix the recall. But now I'm experiencing the exact symptoms of Recall R36. Steering Wheel: •Ghost right blinker - When engaged, all lights are on and in working condition and blink at a normal rate on the outside of the vehicle. •No menu navigation •No cruise control •Can't control radio •Can't control phone calls •No working horn •Active airbag light Symptoms are constant all angles of the steering wheel. There is no noise coming from the steering column. Airbag light is on all the time. Yes, the vehicle is available for inspection upon request. My safety is put at risk for having a failed horn, I cannot alert others. And with the airbag light on, either the airbag can spontaneously deploy causing an accident or if I'm in an accident, they won't deploy at all. If I can't access my menu, I'm unable to see any vehicle notifications or alerts for my engine, transmission, and safety systems, including Perform Service reminders, tire pressure warnings, oil life percentage, low oil pressure and potential emissions or electrical issues. No, it has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center yet. No, it has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. First appeared February 2, 2026

My vehicles steering wheel wiring harness rubbed against the driver air bag module retainer spring causing it to break and now the parts need to be replaced. This was a validated recall on other models but for some reason it is not appearing under my VIN. Airbag light comes on and beeps then shits off intermittently. Happens every time we drive the vehicle. I noticed there were other past recalls about the ABS warning light coming on. The message on dash says "Service Airbag System". Our truck has never been in an accident, the horn still works, wiring looks secure for airbag harness, not sure if this is a common problem but I googled it and I've seen several Ram owners with the same light on.

While driving on the highway my air suspension fails dropping my front end all the way to the frame stops causing speed wobble and an almost loss of control. After replacing a fuse dude to the compressor failing The very next day the right rear dropped while driving causing unsafe driving conditions. This is the third time in 6mo that this has happened with my truck. My truck is welcome to be inspected anytime. My safety, my kid’s safety, and other on the road are in danger if this happens and I lose control. There was no warning besides a service air suspension immediately notification on my dash as it was happening. There are thousands of reports of this being an issue in 2014-2019 ram trucks with air suspension. The dealer and manufacturer have been no help and I’ve been told by the dealer even after fixing it it will fail again in cold weather. This needs to be addressed NOW this is crazy this has not been corrected by Dodge.

At around 6:00pm I was going through a right hand corner in a mountain area that had free range cattle. Over the mountains heading back home the day turned to night. Coming around a right sweepingcorner going around 45-48 mph out of nowhere the unthinkable happened…. A familiar face suddenly appeared in the dark. A cow, rather a huge bull in the middle of the highway! It all happened so fast… Head on collision My reaction was an evasive maneuver steering wheel crank left. If I had not reacted like stated above, crash should have killed me. This move I believe is what saved my life because it offset the contact more to the passenger side. He hit head on yes but now glanced off to my right which kept the rear of the truck from coming around. His massive weight saved me from rolling… The damage to front and passenger side is major The air bags should have deployed . They did not. My insurance confirmed in claim that the air bags did not deploy I filed with them at the time of the accident. The Deputy Sheriff inspected the vehicle and also noted in the police report that the airbags did not deploy. There were no warning lights that indicated any problems at all.

My 2014 Ram 1500 Express Cab, Black, standards features. 2x4 wheel base. About 9am Oct. 4, 2021. I was at T intersection to turn left with light traffic. I had two red arrow left lane turn. When blindsided by distracted driver in 2014 4 Dr. BMW sedan by striking a center island mount cause the vehicle to jump 4 feet. Struck my driver side quarterpanel to driver door at 50 to 80 mph. Send both across the intersection to opposite curve. I was up right and BMW was laying on dirver side. My curtain and airbag never deployed at all. No fire since inline fuses were cut off power to engine I was pinned in my driver side. Mechanical seats was my savior allowed me to roll seat back so after door was cut off. The airbag was never deploy at all and would protect me from cuts and bruises at distracted driver speeds.

MY TRUCK CONTINUES TO LIGHT UP SAYING THAT THE FUEL CAP IS LOOSE. I BELIEVE THAT THERE WAS A FORMER RECALL ABOUT A CRACK AND ENGINE COOLANT GAS GETTING INTO THE SYSTEM, AND THIS WAS NEVER FIXED PROPERLY. ALSO, THE AIRBAG LIGHT CONTINUES TO COME ON, AND THERE WAS A FORMER RECALL ABOUT THAT AND IT WAS NEVER FIXED. THESE ARE ALL WHILE STATIONARY.
