Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2015-2023 Palazzo recreational vehicles. The front lower cap brackets that support the front fiberglass panel may become loose and detach from the vehicle while in motion.
A detached bracket can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will inspect and replace the front lower brackets, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 15, 2023. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867. TMC's number for this recall is RC000291.

Tires, valveSep 15, 2020
Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2018-2021 Aria, Palazzo, Tuscany, and Venetian motorhomes built on a Daimler Trucks (DTNA) chassis. The tire valve stem extension for the inner wheel may contact the outer wheel rim opening and become damaged.
Extensive damage to the valve stem extension may result in a loss of tire pressure of the inner wheel, increasing the risk of a crash.
TMC will notify owners, and DTNA dealers will inspect the inner wheel valve stem stabilizers, and adjust as needed and/or replace the inner valve stem, free of charge. The recall began November 2, 2020. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-800-524-5210 extension 104 or DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. TMC's number for this recall is RC000204. The Thor motorhome has several windows. The windows they installed are laminated windows, with two panes of glass and a seal or glue which connects the outer glass to the inner glass. The attachment method for the outer glass is ineffective. As a result, the outer glass pane comes loose from the inner and is prone to fall off or fly off at highway speeds. The risk is that the pane could strike another vehicle and possibly cause an accident. Already Thor has replaced two of the window units on this unit around 2021, not under warranty but as a customer courtesy. I now have a third window unit that is experiencing the same problem. It is apparent to me Thor has acknowledged there is a risk present when they replaced the other units. In addition, Thor has issued a recall for several year models after my year model. It seems clear they are aware there is a risk of window failure in model years outside of the recall. Unfortunately, they are unwilling to address the risk and hazard.

The contact owns a 2018 Thor Palazzo. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, through the sideview mirror, he observed movement of the driver's side awning window, prompting him to pull to the shoulder of the roadway. After a visual inspection, he observed that the glass panel within the awning window was detached. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V339000 (Visibility), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 15,000.

The Hehr-Lippert windows installed on this Thor motorhome have a design flaw where the adhesive between the outer glass and mounting frame becomes weak when expose to the sun/heat and can fly off the coach at speed and become a trajectory. The Hehr-Lippert side windows installed on this Thor motorhome in the driver and passenger areas can fog between the glass causing poor side and mirror visibility.

DRIVERS SIDE REAR BEDROOM VENT WINDOW HAS DELAMINATED TWICE, FIRST IN OCT. 2019 (REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY) AND AGAIN IN JAN 2020 (STILL AT DEALERSHIP SERVICE AWAITING REPLACEMENT FROM LCI/THOR. BOTH TIMES, I WAS FORTUNATE TO DISCOVER THE SEPARATION BEFORE DRIVING THE VEHICLE DURING MY PRE-TRIP WALKAROUNDS, THUS AVOIDING THE DANGER OF THE OUTER GLASS FLYING OFF THE RV AND INTO TRAFFIC. ALSO IN DEC. 2019, THE FRONT RIGHT (PASSENGER SIDE) FIXED DUAL PANE WINDOW STARTED TO SHOW FOGGING WHEN EXPOSED TO DIRECT SUNLIGHT (NO ACTION TAKEN YET TO REPLACE IT)
