Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2008-2013 Nissan Rogue vehicles manufactured March 7, 2007, to November 26, 2013, and 2014 Nissan Rogue Select vehicles manufactured September 23, 2013, to July 2, 2014. The affected vehicles may experience an electrical short in the harness connector due to a mixture of snow/water and salt seeping through the carpet on the driver side floor near the harness connector.
An electrical short can cause a vehicle fire.
Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the kick panel wiring harness connector and will if necessary install a new harness connector and waterproof seal, free of charge. The recall began on February 26, 2015. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.

The airbag light on the console has been flashing for some time. I took it into the dealership, and they first replaced the airbag module. That has not resolved the flashing light so now they want to replace the clock spring. I am concerned that since the 2014 model has recalls concerning airbags, the 2013 might also have problems that fall under a recall category. I do have repair receipts, should you need additional information.

The airbag light is flashing on off in a repeat pattern continuously. Mileage is about 75,000. Attempts to reset it using the key switch on-off method have not been successful. I see other owners have filed complaints of similar nature. Taking it to dealer for evaluation and subsequent repair if any. However wanted to report the problem in case this is a widespread occurrence with other owners also

My 2013 Rogue air bag light started flashing randomly. This truck hasn't been in an accident. The other issue is with the transmission. I had previously experienced issues with the speed not accelerating when it heats up. Now my transmission light came on and it makes a wining noise. I was on the road and it started acting up not picking up speed. I was on a 70 highway and had to pull over wait for half an hour. Only difference is now my transmission light came on. It has 89k miles.

The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the air bag warning light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the airbag clockspring was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. Additionally, while driving at various speeds, the vehicle suddenly lost motive power and failed to accelerate while depressing the accelerator pedal. After turning off and restarting the vehicle, the vehicle operated as normal. The failure recurred on several occasions with the cruise control activated. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 92,000.

The airbag light recently turned on for no apparent reason, I m concerned for my safety and I believe, due to the safety aspect alone this should be fix for the dealer, but Marlboro.MA dealer declined the repairs.

Airbag lights randomly came on. I had to look up how to turn it off from YouTube and it worked. The transmission slips when hot meaning when I am stopped at a stop light and I go to push on the gas, first gear doesn’t kick in and I cannot operate for 5 seconds then it punches into place. If I am driving nonstop on the highway, the gears will go into over drive or won’t shift over and stay at max 3000rpm so I can only go about 45mph at that time. Everything appears fine until an hour or so into driving. The transmission fluid looks brown and because it’s a CVT transmission, the whole thing would have to be replaced. My dad works on cars and I also had called shops all around my area to simply get a fluid flush. Nissan has recalled their CVT transmission for this year and model in the past. There are no current claims for this year, however I’ve had the vehicle for a year and a half. Because I had my vehicle refinanced, I had lost all warranty benefits, even though I still qualify within that time and miles range.

My driver's side air bag warning light came on yesterday (Jan 5th, 2021). To be specific, it flashes on and off constantly while the engine is running. The dealer 'reset' the light and it stopped flashing. But after driving the car for about an hour, the flashing light has returned and will not stop. The dealer informs me that I will need to replace 2 parts (a cable and a control unit I believe). Total parts and labor will be $2200 dollars plus tax. Isn't an airbag something that should last for the life of the car? My car has 127,000 miles on it and I have owned it since 2018. To my knowledge, it has never been in an accident.

The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while entering and starting the vehicle, the contact noticed that the air bag warning light was illuminated and continuously blinking. The contact took the vehicle to a local dealer who inspected the vehicle and could not determine the cause of the failure. The dealer recommended that the spiral cable in the air bag be replaced. The contact was not able to do the replacement on the vehicle due to the cost. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 90,003.

Recalls for model years of 2014-2016 as well as 2013 sentras due to passenger air bag sensor malfunction. Recall states the the sensor doesn’t detect when passenger is in seat and will not deploy in event of accident. Drive a 2013 rogue sv with same exact issue as described in recall for other vehicles but 2013 model year not included in recall when this is a prevelant issue with Nissan among many makes and models and for many years. Very hazardous to have a passenger in vehicle and air bags keep saying they are turned off. Big safety issue and don’t understand how Nissan is not including 2013 rogue in airbag recall when It has the same exact issue that is stated in recall but instead of fixing their major safety defect that could put many children , adults , elderly in a deadly situation. They decide to not include rogue from 2013 and instead are trying to charge over 1000 to replace the seat to fix their sensor defect. Please investigate as I’m certain there are many other rogue with the same issue as what has been diagnosed by Nissan was this exact problem they recalled for other model years and are fixing but yet want to charge when this is a dangerous known issue from Nissan across several makes and model years as well as generations

Our 2013 Nissan Rogue seatbelt light flashes for no apparent reason. This seems to be a problem that has never been resolved by the manufacturer. It also seems that it is a well documented situation. Nissan should be made to research and give a definite fix without the customer suffering trial and error repairs.

THE CARS PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT WILL STAY ILLUMINATED AS OFF WHEN NO ONE OR NOTHING IS IN THE SEAT. THIS LIGHT SHOULD GO OFF WITHIN 7 SECONDS OF THE CAR TURNING ON. AND WHEN AN ADULT PASSENGER OF ADEQUATE SIZE GETS IN THE SEAT IT MAY OR MAY NOT REMAIN OFF. THIS MEANS THAT THE AIRBAG MAY NOT DEPLOY IF NEEDED BECAUSE THE OCS SENSOR IS NOT PROPERLY REGISTERING THE WEIGHT OF THE PASSENGER. THE PASSENGER SEATBELT LIGHT WILL ALSO REMAIN ON AFTER A PASSENGER EXITS THE VEHICLE AS IF SOMEONE IS STILL SEATING THERE AND NEEDS TO APPLY THE SEATBELT. ANOTHER FAULT OF THE OCS SENSOR. THE CAR HAS BEEN STATIONARY AND IN MOTION WHEN THIS OCCURS. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN AND BEEN TOLD THAT MY CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO AT THIS TIME. OTHER ROGUE MODEL YEARS AND NISSANS IN GENERAL HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR THIS SAME ISSUE YET NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE FOR THE 2013 ROGUE. I WAS TOLD THAT I NEED A NEW SEAT AT A VALUE OF $2600-$3000. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 10-15 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE WAS COMING TOWARDS HER AND CRASHED INTO THE FRONT LEFT SIDE OF HER VEHICLE AT APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HER VEHICLE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED LEFT SHOULDER, LEG, TAIL BONE INJURIES BUT DID NOT SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT SHE WAS SUFFERING FROM A HEADACHE. THE OTHER DRIVER DID NOT SUSTAIN INJURIES AS HIS AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO PASSPORT NISSAN (4725 AUTH PLACE SUITLAND, MD 20746) FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND REPAIRS. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT SHE HAD PREVIOUSLY INFORMED THE DEALER THAT THE SEAT BELT AND AIR BAG WARNING LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED HOWEVER, SHE WAS INFORMED THAT THE DIAGNOSTIC REPORT SHOWED NO FAILURE CODES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. FROM 01/18/2018 TO 03/10/2020 MY CAR HAS BEEN IN THE CARMAX MAINTENANCE AND THE LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP A TOTAL OF SIX TIMES. THEY HAVE TORN MY CAR APART REPLACING THE ROOF AIRBAGS TWICE, THE WIRING HARNESS TWICE AND THE OTHER AIR BAGS AND EACH TIME THEY SAY THE FIXED THE PROBLEM ONLY TO HAVE THE AIRBAGS WARNING LIGHTS COME BACK ON. CURRENTLY IT'S ON WARNING ME I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY AIRBAGS LESS THE 160 MILES SINCE LAST REPAIR. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE!!! PLEASE RESPOND.!

I WAS DRIVING SLOWLY IN A 35 MPH SPEED LIMIT AREA AND MY AIRBAG LIGHT STARTED FLASHING. AFTER LOTS OF RESEARCH I FOUND THAT THE 2014 ROGUE HAS A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE, BUT NOT THE 2013. I DON'T FEEL SAFE IN MY CAR AND I HAVE ONLY HAD IT FOR 4 MONTHS. THE MILEAGE ON MY CAR WAS ABOUT 90,000. THIS CAR HAS NEVER HAD AN ACCIDENT AND THIS NEEDS TO BE A RECALL.
