SINCE I'VE FOUND OUT ABOUT THESE RECALLS THE LOCAL LINCOLN SHOP KEEPS INFORMING ME THAT FORD HAS NOT BEEN SENDING THEM THE REPLACEMENT PSRTS TO FIX MY VEHICLE I'VE CONTACTED FORD MULTIPLE TIMES TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THEY ARE GOING TO DO ABOUT THIS JUNK OF A CAR . 2. Power train, May 31, 2019

SHIFTING FROM FIRST TO SECOND THE TRANSMISSION SHUDDERS AND SOUNDS AND FEELS LIKE VIBRATIONS. HAD THE CLUTCH REPLACED AT 34K. HAPPENJNG AGAIN. BROUGHT IT TO FORD , THEY REPROGRAMMED THE TRANSMISSION , 2 DAYS LATER HAPPENING AGAIN.

  3. Electrical system, Engine, May 22, 2019

A MONTH AGO I STARTED GETTING HIGH TEMPERATURE WARNING ON MY CAR, MY COOLANT WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY, SO I REFILLED IT, BUT NOW MY COOLANT IS COMPLETELY EMPTY AGAIN WHICH COULD HAVE RESULED IN A FIRE, I HAVE NO BEEN IN ANY RECENT ACCIDENTS, I'M A VERY DEFENSIVE DRIVER AND I DIDN'T RUN ANYTHING OVER.AND MY BACK BREAK LIGHT KEEPS GOING OUT AND IVE REPLACED IT SEVERAL TIMES

  4. Electrical system, Vehicle speed control, Engine, May 11, 2019

CAR WILL NOT START. WILL RESPOND TO A JUMP BUT WILL NOT START AFTER RUNNING FOR AWHILE AGAIN. THEN IT STARTS WITH A BIT OF HESITATION FOR AWHILE AND THEN BACK TO NEEDING A JUMP. WHEN AT A STOP AND ACCELERATING, THERE IS A HUGE PAUSE BEFORE THE RPMS KICK IN THEN IT GOES ALL THE WAY TO MAX BEFORE CALMING DOWN TO WHERE IT SHOULD BE. POWER JUST DOESN'T FEEL RIGHT. ALSO THE SYNC 3 HAS HORRIBLE RESPONSE AND DELAY MOST DAYS. IS IT RELATED TO THE POWER /ELECTRICAL ISSUE? NEW OWNER PURCHASED 2/19.

  5. Power train, May 9, 2019

TRANSMISSION SLIPS & SHUTTERS, GRINDS, & SOMETIMES WON'T ACCELERATE PROPERLY.

  6. Fuel/propulsion system, Apr 26, 2019

THE ENGINE TENDS TO STALL AT TIMES, HAVE TO PUMP THE GAS PEDAL TO KEEP IT RUNNING. CAR IN MOTION. HAS HAPPENED MANY TIMES FOR ALMOST THE TIME WE BOUGHT IT.

  7. Power train, Apr 25, 2019

THE CAR HAS AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WHEN ACCELERATING AND THE CAR ATTEMPTS TO SHIFFT FROM 1ST GEAR TO 2ND GEAR THERE IS A SHUTTER FEELING IN THE TRANSMISSION AND SOMETIMES A GRINDING SOUND, ESPECIALLY WHEN TURNING WHILE ACCELERATING. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO HERTRICH FORD IN EASTON, MD TWICE NOW AND BOTH TIMES THEY SAY IT IS "WITHIN SPECS". THEY ALSO SAY THEY REPROGRAMMED SOMETHING. THE CAR HAS 29.000 MILES ON IT. NOW I'M HEARING WHAT SOUNDS LIKE A WHEEL BEARING THUMPING IN THE DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT WHEEL.

  8. Power train, Apr 23, 2019

PURCHASED THE VEHICLE NEW WITH ONLY 21 MILES ON IT, BRAND NEW AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WITHIN 8MNTHS I HAD TO HAVE THE CLUTCH REPLACED BECAUSE IT WAS SHUDDERING AND HESITATING ON ACCELERATION. BY NOVEMBER I WAS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AGAIN AND THE 3RD CLUTCH WAS PUT IN, NOW AGAIN JUST 5 MNTHS LATER THE CAR IS GETTING ITS 4TH CLUTCH . REPEAT ISSUE AND NO RESOLUTION. OTHER THAN LET THEM KEEP PUTTING CLUTCHES IN UNTIL MY WARRANTY DIES.

  9. Engine, Apr 22, 2019

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 FORD FOCUS. WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO METRO FORD (9000 NW 7TH AVE, MIAMI, FL) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE SENSOR WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE SENSOR WAS REPLACED AND THE FAILURE WAS REMEDIED. APPROXIMATELY 20 MONTHS LATER, WHILE DRIVING, THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO TAYLOR FORD (13500 TELEGRAPH RD, TAYLOR, MI) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,000.

  10. Power train, Apr 16, 2019

WHEN DRIVING, IN BETWEEN SHIFTS THE RPMS WILL RISE WHILE THE GAS PEDAL IS RELEASED AND THE CLUTCH PEDAL IS ENGAGED. CREATING A "STUCK" GAS PEDAL CREATING THE DRIVERS TO EITHER SHIFT AND RISK MORE TEAR TO THEIR CLUTCH, OR WAIT TO RELEASE THE CLUTCH TILL THE ENGINE RPMS FINALLY DROP FOR A SMOOTH SHIFT. THE FORD DEALERSHIPS SAY THIS IS NORMAL, BUT ENGINE RPMS SHOULD NOT INCREASE WHILE THE CLUTCH IS ENGAGED AND THE GAS PEDAL IS RELEASED. THIS HAPPENS AT ALL TIMES, INCHING FORWARD TO PULL INTO A GARAGE, HIGHWAY SPEEDS OR CITY SPEEDS. I HAVE A 2017 FOCUS ST ST2 WITH 11,700 MILES.

  11. Power train, Apr 16, 2019

TRANSMISSION SHUDDERS HEAVILY WHEN ACCELERATING FROM 1ST TO 3RD GEAR. SEEMS TO ONLY DO THIS WHEN THE ENGINE IS WARMED UP.

  12. Power train, Structure, Apr 16, 2019

ON 3/21/19 WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE, THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR OPENED. THE DOOR JUST POPPED OPEN, I WAS DRIVING IN AN INTERSECTION OF A BUSY STREET AND ABOUT TO MAKE A TURN WHEN THIS OCCURRED. IT WAS TERRIFYING AND I BARELY MISSED AN ACCIDENT. LUCKILY I WAS RIGHT BY A GAS STATION WHEN THIS HAPPENED AND I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. I REQUESTED THAT THE DEALERSHIP EXAMINE ALL 4 DOORS AS I WAS AFRAID THIS MIGHT RECUR. ON 4/14/19 THE SAME PROBLEM HAPPENED, ONLY THIS TIME IT WAS THE LEFT REAR PASSENGER SEAT. THE DOOR POPPED OPEN WHILE DRIVING AND WOULD NOT SHUT. I TOOK THE CAR STRAIGHT TO THE DEALERSHIP THE NEXT MORNING. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS CAR. I WAS TOLD THIS COULD BE A CHILD SAFETY LOCK ISSUE, YET I DO NOT USE THIS FEATURE, AS I DO NOT HAVE SMALL CHILDREN. I HAVE REQUESTED THAT ALL LATCHES ON ALL DOORS BE REPLACED. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. I ALSO HAVE HAD TRANSMISSION ISSUES (STALLING) WHICH DEALER STATES IS RESOLVED, AND AN ISSUE WITH THE GAS TANK THAT I WAS TOLD WAS A RECALL THEN NOT? WHAT IS IT? IS THE GAS TANK A RECALL OR NOT? ID MY CAR DEFECTIVE & SAFE TO DRIVE?

  13. Fuel/propulsion system, Apr 12, 2019

I RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL 18S32/NHTSA RECALL 18V-735 IN DECEMBER 2018.I HAVE NOT HEARD ON WHAT TO DO OR WHEN TO TAKE THE CAR TO THE DEALER. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

  14. Fuel/propulsion system, Apr 12, 2019

MY CAR HAS A RECALL FROM OCT, 22ND, 2018. THE NHTSA RECALL NUMBER IS 18V735. TILL APR 12TH, 2019, THE REMEDY PROGRAM IS STILL UNAVAILABLE. I WAS CURIOUS IF IT IS NORMAL? DO I JUST WAIT AND THE MANUFACTURER WILL INFORM OWNERS WHEN IT IS AVAILABLE? THANKS!

  15. Power train, Vehicle speed control, Fuel/propulsion system, Apr 11, 2019

AT UNPREDICTABLE TIMES, ACCELERATOR PRESSURE RESULTS ONLY IN ENGINE REVVING. THIS OCCURS REGARDLESS OF CURRENT SPEED, WHEN TURNING AT ANY SPEED OR WHEN MOVING FORWARD. THE TRANSMISSION WILL NOT ENGAGE FOR SEVERAL SECONDS. WHEN IT DOES FINALLY ENGAGE, IT WILL DO SO IN A BURST OF ACCELERATION. THESE CONDITIONS CREATE PROBLEMS IN WHICH ROUTINE TRAFFIC MANEUVERS BECOME UNSAFE.

  16. Power train, Engine, Fuel/propulsion system, Apr 7, 2019, crash

I WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPOT AT APPROXIMATELY 3-5 MPH AND THE CAR SURGED FORWARD JUMPING THE CURB AND HITTING A TREE. PRIOR TO APPROACHING THE PARKING SPOT A SPEED BUMP WAS NEGOTIATED SO THE STATED MPH ARE ACCURATE AS THE SPEED BUMP WAS 25 FEET PRIOR TO THE PARKING SPOT ENTRY.

  17. Fuel/propulsion system, Apr 4, 2019

BETWEEN 10 AND 15 MPH, THE CAR WILL STUTTER, ACTING LIKE IT WANTS TO STALL. ADDITIONALLY, IT WOULD NOT IMMEDIATELY START ONE MORNING, ACTING LIKE IT WASN'T GETTING FUEL.

  18. Power train, Apr 4, 2019

THE VEHICLE SHAKES AND LOSES POWER AT TAKE OFF. IT DOES NOT HAPPEN EVERY TIME. THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO FORD AND WE WERE TOLD THAT IT IS A "NORMAL FEATURE". THIS CAR WAS PURCHASED FOR OUR TEENAGER AND, 2 DAYS AFTER PURCHASE, WE ARE NOT COMFORTABLE WITH HER DRIVING IT. SHE PULLS INTO TRAFFIC AND THE CAR SHAKES AND DOES NOT ACCELERATE APPROPRIATELY. VERY UNSAFE AND NEEDS ADDRESSED.

  19. Other or unspecified, Apr 1, 2019

TRANSMISSION SHUTTERS SOMETIMES UPON TAKING OFF AND ACCELERATING IN CITY OR HWY ROADWAYS AS IT SHIFTS 1ST TO 2ND AND 3RD TO 4TH MOST NOTABLY, ALSO SOMETIMES WHEN TRYING TO SHIFT RPMS REV UP WHEN SHIFTING AS IF IN NEUTRAL O MOMENTARILY. LOCAL DEALER REPLACED 1 CLUTCH, 1 WEEK LATER DOING AGAIN, TOOK BACK TO DEALER SAID NEEDS 1,000 MILES TO BREAKIN. AS CAR GETS HOTTER THESE ISSUES ARE MORE NOTICEABLE. SLIPPING BAD. 2.0 SE HATCHBACK. DISAPPOINTED IN FORDS TRANSMISSIONS ,4TH FORD IN FAMILY WITH TRANSMISSION ISSUES 1997,2002, 2008, 2017.

  20. Power train, Mar 17, 2019

CAR STUTTERED WHEN GEAR SHIFTED FROM 1ST TO 2ND. CAR STOOD ACCELATATING WHILE DRIVING, CAUSING THE TRANSMISSION TO OVERHEAT. TRANSMISSION NOW IS MAKING A GRINDING NOISE.

  21. Power train, Mar 13, 2019

TRANSMISSION CLUTCH SLIPS, CAR STUTTERS ON ACCELERATIONS, CLUNKY SOUND. (GOOGLE IT) WELL KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THESE CARS, FORD IS AWARE, BUT BEEN TO DEALERS TWICE, THEY WON'T FIX, BECAUSE FORD WON'T PAY! DANGEROUS IF CAR STUTTERS & YOU NEED TO GO!

  22. Engine, Mar 10, 2019

AFTER SEVERAL START/RESTART CYCLES THE CAR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND ISSUES THE FOLLOWING CODES: P0300, P0316. IT HAS A ROUGH IDLE AND THE RPMS WILL STAY ELEVATED ANYWHERE FROM 1500-2200 RPM WITHOUT THE THROTTLE BEING PRESSED.

  23. Power train, Mar 5, 2019

MINE IS A MANUAL CAR, WHEN I AM ON THE 3RD GEAR I COULD FEEL THE RESONANCE OF THE VEHICLE, IN OTHER WORDS I COULD FEEL SLIGHT VIBRATIONS OF THE GEAR ROD, I DONT KNOW IF ITS COMMON OR NOT, BUT I DONT FEEL IT WHEN I AM IN OTHER GEARS.

  24. Fuel/propulsion system, Mar 4, 2019

MY CAR IS REVING UP BY ITSELF AND THROTTLE IS STICKING MY CAR IS IN DEALERSHIP CURRENTLY FOR 4TH TIME AND THEY CAN'T TELL ME WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT. IT HAPPENS RANDOMLY WHEN I AM STOPPED OR GOING. THE CAR IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AND I ALMOST WRECKED IT LAST WEEK AFTER THE 3RD TIME I PICKED IT UP FRO. DEALERSHIP

  25. Vehicle speed control, Mar 1, 2019

PURCHASED CAR NEW FROM DEALERSHIP. AT 14,500 MILES (APPROX.) GOING DOWN FREEWAY CAR ACCELERATED BY ITSELF AND WOULD NOT IDLE DOWN. WHEN IN PARK, RPM'S WERE BETWEEN 3000 AND 4000 AND REMAINED THAT WAY. PARKED CAR AT DEALERSHIP, WHEN THEY CHECKED IT, THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE. RECEIVED CAR BACK AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE UNTIL 29015 MILES AND SAME THING HAPPENED. GOING DOWN FREEWAY, THE CAR ACCELERATED UP TO 85 MPH ON ITS OWN AND WOULD NOT IDLE DOWN. WHEN IN PARK, RPM'S WERE BETWEEN 3000 AND 4000 AND WOULD NOT GO DOWN. EXITED FREEWAY NEVER PUTTING MY FOOT ON GAS PEDDLE. WAS GOING DOWN 5 LANE HWY. AT 55 MPH WITH FOOT ON BRAKE CONSTANTLY. PULLED INTO PARKING LOT A POLICEMAN WAS STANDING THERE. I ASKED HIM TO COME OVER TO LOOK AT ISSUE. HE THOUGHT MY FOOT WAS ON GAS. I THEN OPENED MY DOOR AND HUNG MY FEET OUTSIDE OF THE CAR. HIS STATEMENT WAS "'THIS CAR IS DANGEROUS''. I TOOK VIDEO SHOWING RPM'S AT 3500 AND SPEED ODOMETER AT ZERO. TOOK CAR TO DEALERSHIP, DROPPED OFF FOR WEEKEND. WHEN THEY CHECKED THE CAR ON MONDAY MORNING THEY COULD AGAIN NOT DUPLICATE IT. THEY KEPT THE CAR FOR FIVE DAYS, NUMEROUS PEOPLE DRIVING THE CAR BUT COULD NOT DUPLICATE IT. THEY TELL ME IF THEY CANNOT DUPLICATE IT THEY CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT EVEN THOUGH I HAVE THE VIDEO. I LOVE THE CAR BUT I TAKE MY LIFE IN MY HANDS WHEN I DRIVE IT AND I STILL OWE QUITE A BIT OF MONEY ON IT. WHAT RECOURSE DO I HAVE...PLEASE HELP!
