Recalls and investigations

  1. Air bags, frontal, driver side, inflator moduleMar 10, 2021

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2007-2011 Ranger, 2006-2012 Fusion, Lincoln Zephyr, Lincoln MKZ, 2006-2011 Mercury Milan, 2007-2010 Ford Edge, and Lincoln MKX vehicles. The driver's side air bag inflator may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, high temperatures, and high temperature cycling.

An inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants, resulting in serious injury or death.

Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver-side airbag inflator or module with an alternate one, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on April 9, 2021 for the passenger side, and November 14, 2022 for the driver side. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 21S12.

  4. Service brakes, hydraulic, antilock/traction control/electronic limited slip, control unit/moduleDec 18, 2019

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2006-2010 Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan, Lincoln Zephyr and MKZ vehicles. The valves within the ABS Hydraulic Control Units (HCU) may react with brake fluids containing specific corrosion preventative additives. This reaction may cause the valves to not close properly.

If the valves do not properly close, additional brake pedal travel may be required to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Ford will notify owners, and dealers will flush the brake system with DOT 4 fluid and install a new brake fluid reservoir cap. In addition, the HCU will be tested to detect a possible stuck valve condition, replacing the HCU as necessary. All services will be performed free of charge. The recall began April 1, 2021. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 19S54.

  8. Air bags, frontal, passenger side, inflator moduleDo not drive until repairedMay 31, 2016

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2007-2011 Ford Ranger vehicles, 2006-2011 Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan and Lincoln Zephyr/MKZ vehicles, 2007-2010 Ford Edge, Lincoln MKX vehicles, 2005-2006 Ford GT vehicles, and 2005-2011 Ford Mustang vehicles originally sold, or ever registered, in Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands (Saipan), and the U.S. Virgin Islands, or "Zone A." Additionally, unless included in "Zone A" above, Ford is recalling certain model year 2007-2008 Ford Ranger, Edge and Lincoln MKX vehicles, 2006-2008 Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan and Lincoln Zephyr/MKZ vehicles, 2005-2006 Ford GT vehicles and 2005-2008 Ford Mustang vehicles originally sold, or ever registered, in Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia, or "Zone B." Any vehicle not included in "Zone A", or "Zone B" is not included in the safety recall. 9. Fuel system, gasoline, storage, auxillary tankNov 24, 2015

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2010-2011 Ford Fusion vehicles manufactured July 21, 2008, to March 4, 2011, and 2010-2011 Mercury Milan vehicles manufactured July 23, 2008, to December 10, 2010. The affected vehicles have fuel vapor canisters whose purge valves may not operate properly resulting in abnormal pressure changes in the fuel tank.

The pressure changes may cause the tank to crack and leak fuel. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

Ford will notify owners, and dealers will update the vehicle powertrain control modules and inspect the vehicle for any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) for this issue and perform a leak test on the Canister Purge Valve (CPV). The fuel tank will be inspected for cracks. The CPV and fuel tank will be replaced as necessary. These repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall began on January 15, 2016. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 15S34.

  10. EquipmentMay 29, 2014

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain all weather driver side accessory floor mats sold for use in model year 2006-2011 Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan, 2006 Lincoln Zephyr, and 2007-2011 Lincoln MKZ vehicles manufactured November 9, 2007, through October 31, 2010. The affected floor mats may move and possibly interfere with the accelerator pedal.

The floor mat could shift such that it could interfere with the accelerator pedal, preventing its return to an idle position, which could result in unintended vehicle speeds, increasing the risk of a crash.

Ford will notify owners, and dealers will install new replacement mats, free of charge. The recall began in July 2014. Owners may contact Ford's customer service at 1-800-392-3673. Ford's number for this recall is 14S07. NOTE: Vehicles built after October 31, 2010, while potentially equipped with the same floor mats, are equipped with a Brake Over Accelerator (BOA) feature that prevents simultaneous accelerator and brake application, allowing the vehicle to be safely stopped by pressing firmly and steadily on the brake pedal.

  11. Wheels, lugs/nuts/bolts/studsDec 7, 2011

FORD IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010-2011 FORD FUSION AND MERCURY MILAN VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 17 INCH STEEL WHEELS AND BUILT FROM APRIL 1, 2009, THROUGH APRIL 30, 2009, AND FROM DECEMBER 1, 2009, THROUGH NOVEMBER 13, 2010. THE WHEEL STUDS MAY FRACTURE, POTENTIALLY CAUSING A WHEEL TO SEPARATE.

WHILE DRIVING, MULTIPLE STUD FRACTURES COULD OCCUR AT THE WHEEL LOCATION, AND THE OPERATOR MAY EXPERIENCE VEHICLE VIBRATION AND/OR WHEEL SEPARATION, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.

FORD WILL NOTIFY OWNERS, AND DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE REAR BRAKE DISC SURFACE FOR FLATNESS AND REPLACE THE DISCS AS NECESSARY. ADDITIONALLY, THE WHEEL LUG NUTS WILL BE REPLACED ON ALL FOUR WHEELS. THE SAFETY RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN ON OR ABOUT JANUARY 24, 2012. 1. Steering, Service brakes, Hydraulic, May 29, 2014

I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT 30MPH WHEN SUDDENLY IT FELT LIKE I LOST THE BRAKES FOR A MOMENT. I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF TURNING AND I FELT THE STEERING WHEEL LOCK UP AND I COULD BARELY STOP THE CAR. I HAVE SINCE FIGURED OUT THAT THE ABS IS NOT WORKING AND BECAUSE OF THIS THE POWER STEERING IS NOT WORKING. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION AT A HIGHER RATE OF SPEED. I AM THANKFUL I WAS NOT GOING ANY FASTER WHEN THIS HAPPENED. *TR

  2. Power train, Vehicle speed control, May 27, 2014

THE THROTTLE BODY FAILED ON MY 2010 FORD FUSION THAT I PURCHASED LAST MONTH. THE CAR FELT AS IF IT SIMPLY STOPPED WORKING AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. THANKFULLY, IT OCCURRED AT A LOW SPEED, THOUGH IT WAS VERY FRIGHTENING. APPARENTLY, THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND FORD SAYS IT ISN'T COVERED UNDER THE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT DRIVING THE CAR, AND I FEEL AS THOUGH THIS KNOWN DEFECTIVE PART WILL FAIL AGAIN. *TR

  3. Vehicle speed control, Engine, May 24, 2014

I WAS TRAVELING ON A SECONDARY ROAD AT ABOUT 45 MPH WHEN WITH OUT WARNING THERE WAS A SUDDEN POWER FAILURE. I WAS ABLE TO GET OFF THE ROAD. I CALLED THE DEALER SERVICE DESK AND WAS TOLD IT MIGHT BE A "COMPUTER GLITCH". I STARTED AND DROVE THE CAR ABOUT 3 MILES BACK HOME WITHOUT INCIDENT. I TRIED ABOUT 5 TIMES IN OUR LONG DRIVE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. BECAUSE I COULD NOT DUPLICATE, I DECIDED TO CONTINUE ON MY ERRANDS. THIS TIME I TRAVELED ABOUT 5 MILES AND THE SAME POWER FAILURE OCCURRED. I HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALER AT MY EXPENSE AND AFTER 36 HRS HAD MY CAR BACK. THEY REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY UNDER A CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM (13N03) AT NO EXPENSE TO ME. LUCKILY FOR ME MY EXPERIENCE HAPPENED ON A RURAL ROAD. HAD IT HAPPENED ON A MULTILANE, HIGH SPEED ROAD A VERY SERIOUS MULTICAR ACCIDENT MAY HAVE OCCURRED. I WAS ASSURED THAT THE NEW THROTTLE BODY WOULD NOT HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. *TR

  4. Fuel system, Gasoline, Vehicle speed control, Engine, May 24, 2014

WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE IT SUDDENLY FELT LIKE IT STALLED, BUT IT ACTUALLY HAD NOT. BEFORE I COULD SAFELY PULL OFF THE ROAD IT BEGAN VIOLENTLY JERKING THE WHOLE CAR. GAS AND BRAKE CONTROLS WERE EFFECTED AND THE CAR WAS DIFFICULT TO GET OFF THE ROAD SAFELY AND DIFFICULT TO STOP IT FROM MOVING FORWARD ONCE I GOT OFF THE ROAD. I QUICKLY PUT IT IN PARK AND TURNED IT OFF. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AS WELL AS A WRENCH LIGHT DURING THIS INCIDENT. AFTER ABOUT 5 MINUTES I TURNED THE CAR BACK ON AND IT SEEMED TO BE RUNNING FINE. I STARTED TO DRIVE TO THE BODY SHOP I USE AND AFTER A COUPLE MINUTES IT DID IT AGAIN IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION. THE CAR WAS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL AND I WAS SCARED I WOULD BE HIT BY ANOTHER CAR. AFTER MAKING IT OFF THE ROAD AGAIN, I TURNED THE CAR OFF. I EVENTUALLY DID GET IT TO MY BODY SHOP, BUT THE DEFECTIVE THROTTLE BODY COULD HAVE RESULTED IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. FORD SHOULD RECALL THIS PART AND FIX IT! *TR

  6. Electrical system, Vehicle speed control, May 19, 2014

I AM A CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL OFFICER. I DEPEND ON FORD VEHICLES. MY LIFE, LITERALLY DEPENDS UPON IT. THAT BEING SAID, I WILL NEVER OWN A FORD VEHICLE AGAIN. I OWN A 2010 FORD FUSION WITH 93,XXX MILES ON THE ODOMETER. AS I WAS TRAVELING TO WORK, MY FUSION LOST ALL POWER, AND FORCED ME TO THE RIGHT SIDE SHOULDER OF THE HIGHWAY. THIS ACTION NEARLY RESULTED IN A MAJOR INJURY, REAR END COLLISION. ALL THIS OCCURRED DURING THE HOURS OF DARKNESS, ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY, IN THE GREATER SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA. HOW THIS PROBLEM HAS NOT YET REQUIRED IMMEDIATE ATTENTION BY THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY // U.S GOVERNMENT, IS BEYOND BELIEF. I PURCHASED A REPLACEMENT THROTTLE BODY FROM AN OUTSIDE RETAILER, (NOT A FORD FACTOR PART) INSTALLED IT IN MY GARAGE, AND HAVE HAD NO ISSUES AS OF THIS POSTING. HOW THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY CAN JUSTIFY $400 TO $500 DOLLARS TO REPLACE THIS PROBLEM PART, IS BEYOND MY UNDERSTANDING. HOW IS THIS NOT YET A GOVERNMENT RECALL?? I MAY BE FORCED TO DRIVE FORD VEHICLES IN ORDER TO DO MY JOB, BUT TO REITERATE, MY FAMILY WILL NEVER AGAIN PURCHASE A FORD VEHICLE. EVERY CLOUD HAS A SILVER LINING. I AM GRATEFUL MY FUSION SHUT DOWN RATHER THAN ACCELERATE. I GUESS THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY MUST HAVE LEARNED SOMETHING FROM THE TOYOTA MOTOR COMPANY. NOW IT JUST TAKES THE USELESS GOVERNMENT MORONS TO FORCE FORD MOTOR COMPANY TO ADMIT TO, AND FIX THIS OBVIOUS PROBLEM. *JS

  7. Fuel/propulsion system, May 19, 2014

AS I WAS DRIVING I SUDDENLY LOST POWER AND THERE WAS NO RESPONSE WHEN I PUSHED ON THE GAS PEDDLE. THE CAR WAS SHAKING AND MAKING NOISES. I WAS ABLE TO CONTINUE DRIVING AFTER I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND REMOVED THE KEY FOR A FEW SECONDS. A FEW DAYS LATER THIS HAPPENED A SECOND TIME. I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 10 MILES AN HOUR AND THE CAR AGAIN LOST POWER AND WAS SHAKING AND MAKING NOISES. AGAIN I REMOVED THE KEY AND WAITED A FEW SECONDS AND WAS ABLE TO START THE CAR AND DRIVE NORMALLY. THE THIRD TIME THIS HAPPENED THE CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AND LURCHED FORWARD. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO MY MECHANIC AND HE SAID HE CLEANED THE THROTTLE. HE COULD FIND NOTHING ELSE WRONG. *JS

  8. Service brakes, May 17, 2014

I HAVE A 2010 FORD FUSION WITH 48,000 MILES, WHILE DRIVING IT I NOTICED IT STARTED TO MAKE A GRINDING NOISE IN THE REAR. SO I TOOK ONE OF THE TIRES OFF AND NOTICED THAT THE PADS WERE BADLY WORN SO I WENT DOWN TO THE PART STORE, GOT NEW ROTORS AND PADS. AFTER INSTALLING, I NOTICED THE ROTOR ON THE RIGHT REAR HAD A LARGE CRACK ON THE BACKSIDE OF THE ROTOR JUST UNDER WHERE THE PAD HITS THE ROTOR. IT IS ALMOST CRACKED ALL AROUND. I AM NOT AN ENGINEER, BUT TO ME, THAT IS A FACTORY DEFECT AND A SAFETY HAZARD TO ME AND MY FAMILY; THESE ROTORS WERE IN TERRIBLE SHAPE FOR 48,000 MILES. ONE GOOD POT HOLE, AND THE WHOLE TIRE AND EVERYTHING COULD HAVE CAME OFF BECAUSE OF THE CRACKED ROTOR. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL FOR THIS, THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME. *TR UPDATED 11/10/2014 *JS

ATTEMPTED TO EXIT THE DRIVERS DOOR TO OBTAIN FUEL. INTERNAL DOOR LATCH FAILED AND WOULD NOT OPEN DOOR. HAD TO LOWER DRIVERS WINDOW AND USE OUTER DOOR LATCH TO OPEN DOOR. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY THE ENGINE STARTED TO SHAKE AND SHUDDER AND I HAD TO PULL OVER IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. TURNING THE CAR OFF, THEN ON AGAIN HELPED FOR A BIT THEN ENGINE STARTED STUMBLING AGAIN. DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT REVEALED ERROR CODE P2111, THROTTLE ACTUATOR CONTROL SYSTEM -STUCK OPEN. FORD HAS A CUSTOMER SATISFACTION CAMPAIGN (13N03) FOR THIS ISSUE THAT IS NOT ADVERTISED TO CONSUMERS UNLESS THEY RESEARCH THIS ISSUE. FORD ISSUED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR THE THROTTLE BODY FOR MY 2010 FORD FUSION. I RECEIVED MULTIPLE LETTERS IN THE MAIL LETTING ME KNOW THAT MY CAR WAS RECEIVING THIS WARRANTY. YESTERDAY, MY CAR SUDDENLY STOPPED ACCELERATION AND MADE AN EXTREME JERK MULTIPLE TIMES ON THE FREEWAY- THIS COULD HAVE KILLED MYSELF, MY PASSENGERS AND ANYONE WHO MAY HAVE HIT ME. TODAY, I WAS TOLD THAT BECAUSE MY VEHICLE HAS A SALVAGED TITLE, FORD WOULD NOT FIX THE THROTTLE BODY COMPONENT. I AM NOT COVERED FOR THEIR STUPID EXTENDED WARRANTY PROGRAM. FORD NEEDS A FULL RECALL FOR THE THROTTLE BODY, FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME WHO ARE BEYOND WARRANTY COVERAGE. THEY ALREADY CONNED ME INTO AN UNNECESSARY $1400 REPAIR BEFORE, NOW I FEEL THAT I AM ONLY BEING CONNED AGAIN. OWN UP TO YOUR MISTAKES FORD! I'M TIRED OF HAVING MY SAFETY AT RISK BECAUSE OF YOU! *TR

I COULD NOT GET IDLE TO STEADY, WRENCH LIGHT ON; SO I SHUT DOWN ENGINE. RESTARTED WAS SLOW BUT I WAS ABLE TO CONTINUE NORMAL DRIVING. NEXT MORNING TOOK IT TO KINSEL FORD DEALER, THEY CHECKED IT OUT FRIDAY AND FOUND NO ISSUES. YESTERDAY MAY 3RD IT HAPPENED AGAIN. I WAS GOING AROUND A TURN AND MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP AND I COULD NOT TURN MY WHEEL RIGHT OR LEFT. LUCKILY I WAS NEAR A PARKING LOT WHERE I DRIFTED INTO AND CALLED AAA. MY CAR HAD TO GET TOWED AND WAS NOT DRIVABLE. I HAD NO PRIOR WARNINGS BEFORE MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP. *TR

IN MAY 2011, NOTICED ONE OF THE RIGHT FRONT "STUDS" HAD BROKEN OFF. TOOK TO LOCAL GARAGE TO HAVE "STUD" REPLACED. THEN IN NOVEMBER 2011, WHEN ROTATING WHEELS, ONE "STUD" ON THE LEFT FRONT WHEEL BROKE OFF WHEN REMOVING THE WHEEL. AGAIN TOOK TO LOCAL GARAGE TO HAVE "STUD" REPLACED. THEN IN JANUARY 2012, A RECALL FROM FORD NOTIFIED ME OF THE PROBLEM WITH LUG NUTS. TOOK CAR TO FORD DEALER TO HAVE THE RECALL WORK PERFORMED. ONLY IN THE SHOP FOR ONE HOUR. SUPPOSE THEY ONLY CHANGED THE LUG NUTS IF ANYTHING AND NOT THE "STUDS". NOW IN FEBRUARY 2014, A RIGHT FRONT "STUD" BROKE OFF AGAIN WHILE HAVING THE TIRES ROTATED. FOR THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY, I HAD ALL THE "STUDS" REPLACED BY MY LOCAL SHOP THAT I TRUST. MY LOCAL SHOP ADVISED ME THERE WAS A NEW PART # FOR REPLACEMENT "STUDS". SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 11S23 SHOULD HAVE REQUIRED ALL "STUDS" REPLACED, NOT JUST THE NUTS AND STUDS CHECKED. IT SOUNDS LIKE METAL FATIGUE IN THE "STUDS" NOT THE NUTS. I SPENT $258.29 OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY TO FIX A SAFETY DEFECT AND STILL HAVE THE OLD DEFECTIVE PARTS TO SHOW FOR IT. I HOPE THIS COMPLAINT PREVENTS ANYONE ELSE FROM BEING HURT. *TR

I WAS NO LONGER ABLE TO ACCELERATE. THE CAR WAS RUNNING BUT WHILE I WAS DRIVING THE CAR STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND AS I TRIED TO GIVE THE CAR GAS IT JUST INCREASED RPM'S BUT DIDN'T MOVE THE CAR. I PULLED OFF INTO A PARKING LOT TURNED THE CAR OFF AND ON AND IT BEGAN TO RUN AGAIN, BUT LOST ALL COMPUTER INFORMATION SO THE MECHANIC COULDN'T FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM. IT HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES SINCE THEN. *TR

AS I WAS PULLING OUT INTO TRAFFIC FROM THE DRIVEWAY OF THE GROCERY STORE MY CAR SEEMED AS IF IT STALLED AS I WAS DRIVING. IT WOULD NOT MOVE AS I PRESSED THE GAS PEDAL. IT DID NOT GO OFF. IT JUST WOULD NOT MOVE. I PUT MY HAZARD LIGHTS ON SO THE APPROACHING CARS COULD GO AROUND ME. I THEN TURNED THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTED IT. IT SEEMED TO HESITATE A BIT BUT THEN STARTED AND I PROCEEDED TO GO HOME. THIS WAS THE SCARIEST THING I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. I AM JUST THANKFUL THAT MY KIDS AND I WERE NOT HURT. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME. THE FIRST INCIDENT OCCURRED ABOUT 3 TO 4 MONTHS AGO. I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THE RECALL AT THAT TIME. BOTH INCIDENTS OCCURRED WITHOUT NOTICE AND WHILE I WAS PULLING INTO TRAFFIC. *TR

MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 75 MPH AND THE WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR SUDDENLY LOST ACCELERATION AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE WITH THE GAS PEDAL. IT SHUDDERED AS HE DROVE, AND HE WAS ONLY ABLE TO DRIVE AT A VERY LOW SPEED. HE WAS VERY WORRIED THAT HE WOULD GET HIT BY OTHER FASTER CARS. HE GOT IT TOWED TO THE CLOSEST FORD DEALERSHIP, AND THEY REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY. WE ARE REGISTERING THIS COMPLAINT BECAUSE WE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH FORD CARS GENERALLY. *TR

ON STARTING THE CAR, THE STEERING COLUMN WAS LOCKED UP AND WOULD NOT TURN. TOWED TO FORD DEALERSHIP, THEY ASSESSED THAT THE WHOLE STEERING COLUMN HAD TO BE REPLACED. COST ME $2000. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND I AM SURPRISED THAT FORD HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL. *TR

TRANSMISSION LEAK IN THE FRONT LEFT AXLE. MECHANIC AT FORD DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THIS IS THE 5TH ONE HE'S SEEN IN THE LAST WEEK (ON VARIOUS 2010 FUSION'S AND 2010 ESCAPE'S), AND HE'S FIXED MANY OF THOSE VEHICLES WITH THE SAME PROBLEM OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS. UPON, LOOKING ONLINE, I SEE MANY OTHER PEOPLE WHO OWN THOSE 2 VEHICLES WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS COSTS ABOUT $500 TO FIX (AND FROM REPORTS ONLINE, MANY TIMES IT'S NEEDED TO BE FIXED AGAIN). MECHANIC TOLD ME FORD IS ON THEIR 4TH VERSION OF THE PART TO TRY AND GET IT RIGHT. THIS SEEMS LIKE A RECALL IS NEEDED! THE PUBLIC IS GETTING SCREWED. *TR
