I WAS ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK AND THE LIGHTS JUST CAME ON FOR NO REASON. STEERING WHEEL LOCKS ON SHARP TURNS AT SLOW SPEEDS. CUTS OFF BLUETOOTH WHEN IT HAPPENS. ABS, TRACTION AND BRAKE LIGHT COME ON. I LOOKED ON CARS.COM AND SAW A RECALL IN 2015 FOR THIS SAME THING. I GOT MY CAR IN EARLY 2016. UNDER MY VIN IT SAYS THE POWER STEERING WAS SERVICED IN 2014 BEFORE THEY EVEN KNEW ABOUT THE RECALL. NOW THE FORD DEALERSHIPS DON'T SEE THE 2015 RECALL IN THEIR COMPUTERS. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND I DON'T WANT TO GET INTO AN ACCIDENT. PLEASE HELP ME.
Air bags, Wheels, Electronic stability control (ESC), Nov 7, 2017, crash
"TAKATA RECALL" I RECEIVED THE NOTIFICATION CONCERNING THE AIRBAG RECALL IN THE MAIL THE DAY BEFORE THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT AND WAS EVENTUALLY CONSIDERED TO BE A TOTAL LOSS. THE AIRBAG IN THE DRIVERS SIDE DID DEPLOY AND PIECES OF WHAT I THOUGHT WERE GLASS WERE EMBEDDED IN MY SKIN ON MY LEFT HAND THOUGH THERE WASN'T ANY GLASS IN THAT AREA THAT SEEMED TO BE LOOSE. I ALSO NOTICED THAT THE AIRBAG CONTINUED TO BURN FOR AN EXTREMELY LONG TIME. THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED AND AFTER ALL PARTIES WERE EVALUATED AND THE ROAD WAS CLEARED A BIT, THE TOW TRUCK ARRIVED AND THE STEERING COLUMN STILL HAD SMOKE COMING FROM THE AIRBAG REGION WHICH THE PARAMEDIC MENTIONED SEEMED TO BE LONGER THAT USUAL FOR IT TO STILL BE SMOKING. THIS ACCIDENT OCCURRED WHILE ,Y VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AND HIT A STOPPED CAR WHICH THEN HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE ON A CITY STREET WHILE DRIVING IN THE FORWARDS POSITION.

TAKATA RECALL- TAKATA HAS FAILED TO MAKE REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS AVAILABLE OR OFFER ANY TYPE OF "FIX" FOR SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 17S01. THE AMOUNT OF TIME THAT HAS PASSED IS UNACCEPTABLE AND VERY WORRISOME IN THE FACE THAT IT FEELS MY CAR IS A TICKING TIME BOMB OF SORTS.
Steering, Other or unspecified, Electronic stability control (ESC), Nov 6, 2017
THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY UPON RETURNING FROM ERRANDS. THE NEXT MORNING THE POWER STEERING ASSIST AND THE ADVANCETRAC SYSTEM FAILURE LIGHTS WERE ON. THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE WHILE DRIVING AND AFTER PARKING AT MY WORKPLACE. USUALLY RESTARTING THE VEHICLE WOULD CORRECT THE ISSUE. THIS TIME IT WOULD NOT RESET AND I BROUGHT IT TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED. I UNDERSTAND THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE 2012 FORD FUSION AND OTHER FORD MAKES FOR THIS SAME ISSUE. HOWEVER THE DEALERSHIP SAYS THE VIN # ON MY FUSION DOESN'T MATCH ANY CURRENT RECALL AND WILL NOT COVER THE COST OF REPAIR. MY QUESTION IS IF THIS IS A KNOWN FORD PROBLEM WHY SHOULD IT NOT COVER MY VEHICLE WITH THE SAME ISSUE FOR RECALL ? JUST BECAUSE THE VIN # ISN'T IN THE SYSTEM IS NO REASON NOT TO FIX THIS. IT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM,MANY SITUATIONS EXACTLY LIKE MINE RECORDED ONLINE. HOW ARE THEY (FORD)NOT RESPONSIBLE?
Steering, Nov 5, 2017
MY POWER STEERING WENT OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY. I WENT TO A FORD CERTIFIED DEALERSHIP AND HAD THEM LOOK INTO THIS PROBLEM BEFORE ANYTHING DANGEROUS HAPPENED. THE FOLLOWING DAY, AFTER PICKING MY CAR UP FROM THE DEALER MY POWER STEERING WENT OUT COMPLETELY WHILE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY.

TAKATA RECALL. IN JANUARY 2017 I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD STATING THAT MY 2012 FORD FUSION HAD A RECALL REPAIR/REPLACEMENT DUE. THE PART TO BE REPLACED WAS A TAKATA INFLATOR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE THAT COULD CAUSE INJURY OR DEATH TO THE OCCUPANTS. REPEATED PHONE CALLS AND VISITS FROM JANUARY THROUGH OCTOBER 2017 TO TWO OF MY LOCAL FORD DEALERS RESULTED IN REPEATED DENIALS OF REPLACEMENT DUE TO "WE DON'T HAVE THE PARTS" AND "SOME TIME NEXT YEAR" (2018). IT HAS NOW BEEN 10 MONTHS THAT I HAVE BEEN DRIVING A POTENTIALLY LETHAL VEHICLE.
Air bags, Nov 4, 2017
TAKATA RECALL I HAVE PUT IN 2 CALLS TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO GET MY AIRBAG RECALL ISSUE FIXED, AND NOTHING HAS HAPPENED. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE MY CAR BECAUSE IF I GET IN AN ACCIDENT, IT COULD KILL ME. WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO GET THE PARTS AND FIX THIS OR GIVE ME A REPLACEMENT CAR?
Air bags, Nov 4, 2017
TAKATA RECALL: WE RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN MARCH 2017 FOR REPLACEMENT OF A FRONTAL AIRBAG INFLATOR. WE PROMPTLY CONTACTED OUR LOCAL FORD DEALER, BUT WERE TOLD THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE AND THAT WE WOULD BE CONTACTED WHEN THEY CAME IN. TODAY IS NOVEMBER 3, 2017 AND WE STILL HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED TO HAVE THE PARTS REPLACED.
Electrical system, Air bags, Nov 3, 2017
TAKATA RECALL...THEY STATE THEY HAVE NO REMEDY FOR THIS WHEN I PUT MY VIN# IN AT THE AIRBAGRECALL.COM SITE AND IT HAS BEEN ON RECALL SINCE JANUARY 2017. ALSO WE HAD AN ISSUE WITH THE DRIVER'S DOOR NOT UNLOCKING AND STUCK WHERE SOMEONE IN THE CAR WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GET OUT WITHOUT CLIMBING OUT THE WINDOW. HAD IT IN THE SHOP FOR REPAIR EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE RECALLED 2013 AND ABOVE FOR THIS VERY REASON. THE FORD DEALERSHIP SAID THE 2012 FORD FUSION WAS NOT INCLUDED. WE HAD TO PAY $100 (WARRANTY DEDUCTIBLE) TO HAVE THEM FIX IT. I FEEL IF IT IS KNOWN ON OTHER MODEL YEARS THIS ONE SHOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED.
Air bags, Nov 3, 2017
TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN MARCH OF 2017. I HAVE CONTACTED MY FORD DEALER SEVERAL TIMES AND CONTINUE TO BE TOLD THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE REPLACEMENT PARTS AND HAVE NO IDEA WHEN THEY WILL HAVE THEM. I AM NOT COMFORTABLE DRIVING A CAR WHEN THE AIRBAG MAY EXPLODE.

TAKATA RECALL A RECALL WAS ISSUED ON JANUARY 10TH, 2017. I BELIEVE IT HAS BEEN AN UNREASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE MANUFACTURER TO HAVE NOT ADDRESSED THIS SAFETY ISSUE.

TAKATA RECALL. I'VE RECEIVED 2 NOTICES ABOUT THE RECALL AND HAVE CONTACTED LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIPS REGARDING THE PART REPLACEMENT AND WAS TOLD BOTH TIMES THAT THERE ARE NO PARTS AVAILABLE AND FORD HAS NOT ANNOUNCED WHAT THEY ARE GOING TO DO. I RECEIVED THE FIRST NOTICE IN JAN/FEB 2017. IT'S NOW NOVEMBER 1, 2017. THIS IS TAKING ENTIRELY TOO LONG ESPECIALLY IF MY FAMILY'S SAFETY IS INVOLVED.
Other or unspecified, Nov 1, 2017
DRIVER SIDE FRONT DOOR HANDLE CEASED OPERATION. THE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE, BUT WILL OPEN FROM THE OUTSIDE. I CONTACTED MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP ABOUT THIS AND THEY STATED THEY HAVE REPLACED MANY OF THESE, BUT IT IS NOT ON A SAFETY RECALL AT THIS TIME. THE REPAIR COST IS APPROXIMATELY $170. I CONSIDER THIS A SEVERE SAFETY ISSUE DUE TO NOT BEING ABLE TO OPEN THE DRIVER'S DOOR IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY. VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND NOT MOVING WHEN THIS OCCURRED.

TAKATA RECALL. I HAD RECEIVED NOTICE OF MY AIRBAG INFLATOR BEING RECALLED ON JANUARY 10TH, 2017. IT IS OCTOBER 31ST, 2017 AND FORD IS STILL UNABLE TO CHANGE OUT MY INFLATOR AND MAKE IT SAFE TO DRIVE. THIS AIRBAG INFLATOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED IN A MORE TIMELY MANNER TO PREVENT POSSIBLE INJURY. THANK YOU.

TAKATA RECALL. NO REMEDY IS AVAILABLE ACCORDING TO RECALL SITE. THIS HAS BEEN TRUE FOR 11 MONTHS.
Air bags, Oct 31, 2017
TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED WRITTEN NOTICE FROM FORD IN MARCH 2017 THAT "FRONTAL AIR BAG INFLATOR MAY RUPTURE IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH NECESSITATING AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT. A RUPTURED INFLATOR MAY RESULT IN METAL FRAGMENTS STRIKING VEHICLE OCCUPANTS CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH..." I CALLED FORD COMPANY TODAY 10/31/17 (8 MONTHS AFTER THE INITIAL NOTICE WHICH I TOOK VERY SERIOUSLY) AND WAS TOLD BY THE FORD REPRESENTATIVE THAT THEY HAVE NO DATE FOR WHEN THE PARTS FOR THE REMEDY WOULD BE AVAILABLE. SO FORD HAS TOLD ME THAT ME AND MY WIFE COULD SUFFER SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH IN THE EVENT THAT THE AIRBAG IS DEPLOYED AND THERE IS NO TIMEFRAME FOR RESOLVING THIS VERY SERIOUS DEFICIENCY. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT ACTION IS BEING TAKEN TO MAKE FORD BE MORE RESPONSIVE
